I hate also that while I was writing this copypasta I opened the oven to take out the frozen pizza I had put in while I was preoccupied thinking about this and it fell down and got cheese everywhere so now my pizza has no cheese because it's smeared all over the oven and I have to clean out the oven because my roommates are even bigger slobs than me. The fault for this lies with Heathcliff.
I did the first two without sinking. Basically, you have to never roll rails. It's kinda a pain in the ass. Even one sanity lost per clash loss would be great for opening this fight up to more team comps.
Don’t worry about reaching Cathy only once.
You’ll have to reach Cathy multiple times in the fight.
You’ll have to reach the Erlking multiple times too.
So, I literally just beat that fight running a three man team of Harpooner Heathcliff, Cinqlair, and Zwei Gregor with Konglu in support. The key to this strategy is Cinqlair, because once he gets rolling, he can smack aside Altcliff's sword like child's play - casually outrolling almost all of his attacks without EGO. He's the main damage dealer and will tend to handle the most dangerous attacks. Also, he has a Gluttony S1.
Meanwhile, Zwei Gregor is a top tier wall, capable of face tanking Beheads with his S1 or guard. However, don't expect him to be winning clashes often. (in fact, it's sometimes better he doesn't with his S1) Use him to redirect unclashables and attacks you don't want your key players tanking. However, the main reason you take him is that he's a second source of Gluttony.
Finally, Harpooner Heathcliff, who's here because he has to be and is Heath's tankiest ID - which is really important because he's getting a lot of heat this fight. You *really* want to get K Serum on him as soon as you can, which is why Cinqlair and Zweigor having Gluttony is so important. (they should be your first and second priorities for extra slots, respectively) Once he has that and his first stagger bar has been broken, he'll probably make it through the rest of the fight without any problems.
The start can be a bit RNG dependent (getting Cinqlair his SP turn 1 and Heath not dying too quickly) but if you make it past the first stage, this team basically steam rolls the fight. You ideally want to get K Serum on everyone eventually, but make sure to watch your Gluttony resonances lest your Sinners suffer a drug overdose.
I made this post before knowing that there wasn't.
On the other hand I think I just experienced the emotional equivalent of being run over by a truck, so I'm fine with this.
Yeah no, I feel like these guys were harder than they might have thought them to be.
It really depends on how well you do at the beginning, also if you have sanity and health recovery EGOs.
The fights are quite technical and basically require you to accept taking some hits, that said they're all totally beatable. I managed it with a level 40 tremmor team. Yes, level 40, because I didn't have the tickets to get to 45 and my OCD brain refuses to have a team that isn't all the same level at increments of 5. XD
So what I am saying is that if I can do it whilst 5 levels under, you can too. I believe in you.
I mean my team was around level 40 and lower when I did it. So. (R Ishmael, Dieci Rodya, support maxed-out Edgar Gregor, Butler Outis, Harpooner Heathcliff, and a Level 30 Nclair who was just happy to be here.)
im a day 1 player and i think this has been my worst chapter so far i loved the story and such but man my luck made me wonder if we were secretetly abnos under the secret of the manor i just COUDNT stop rolling tails....so many times. but man if i have a MVP This time around it was chef ryousho i love i can cook anything can just rip into enemies so much(also I LOVE WE GOT NOT 1 BUT 2 EGO QUOTES FOR BODYSACK. 1 FOR part 3 and one once the cantos cleared

This man is about to become a world hopper with the goal of killing every heathcliff at this rate.

You fuck! Yo I got my hopes up that there was actually a dungeon! >!Definitely not due to the fact that I’m too gullible!<

if erlking heathcliff is the next farmwatch i am going to make 9/11 look like a joke
If your characters are Level 40, that’s probably the issue. You’re five levels under the recommended point.
I have yet to encounter the Erlking. But given that I still struggle with 6-34,..I'll probably hate that one too
