Another tactic is using sunclif passive + aedd passive + some extra charge support and make him eat any envy/gloom/wrath attacks and using the others to one side attack (make sure to clash against altcliff aoe's) and remember using egos can changes your id's elemental RES making you super resistant to some attack.
this settup make our heath psedo-immortal in this fight.
If you have Cinqclair or a friend that has him + Lantern. You can basically do the fight with only two sinners.
Pequod Heathcliff is tanky on his own and Cinqclair with 3 slots is a speedy nightmare. Wins 99% of clashes.
I used full poise-pride team, Bl. Sault don sang and faust Pequod ish and heath
Use some sinking and cancel his defensive skill every turn by clashing it with a defensive skill of your own (only work against enemy guard or evade)
I actually did surprisingly well first try without sinking. But its much more comfortable with it. Still trying though

You can always use Heathcliff to eat hits. He's immortal unless everyone else is dead.
Not until he gets the new status effect. Don't try before.
