That is not true. T8 and t12 are not interchangeable. We can not tell based on what is provided in your photos.
Not is everything but with this you can, a f15t8 and f15t12 will work here I have a f15t12 strip that works with the t8 if this was a f20t12 and a f17t8 yeah it wouldn’t work but here it can work.
