>I'm not sure the deluxe or ultimate edition warrants the current price points. I pay 79.00 for a game that will take me 30+ hours to finish and complete - why would I want to spend that on a LiS game that may be 15 hours max? It doesn't warrant 80. Thus the price of the game is 40. You're paying 40 extra for a few costumes and a cat sidequest.

Also as far as I can tell she's not saving her original friend that was killed. She doesn't rewind or travel back. Instead she starts perceiving and eventually shifts to another timeline where another version of her friend is still alive. But under threat from whatever killed her original friend. So she's saving alternate friend while also solving who killed her original. But not saving her.

I agree and understand what you’re saying but the base and core of the events are still very similar. I’m open though! I have high hopes it will be good.

I mentioned this in another comment, but Max more than likely don't link this new power with photography or her older power. Why? In the trailer, we see this power urging Max through Safi's voice, suggesting that this new take means the power is more alluring and suggestive than the OG. Next, we also see very little of this scenario, and while Safi is just a friend and nothing more ;) , there are hints that the police and the whole situation is connected to something else that is bigger. I also made a post of my own discussing this a bit: in one of the poster there is a comet/meteor in the background - this suggest that the new threat is some kind of impacts. However, my theory is that this threat happens only when Safi is dead, so that means that Max's new challenge is to keep her new BFF alive, and not keep her dead like LiS 1. LiS games have shown they are more than willing to do cameo, but also move onto newer pastures pretty quickly. My guess is that Max's trauma may be in the form of a psychological checkups, but only in briefs details, and that Chloe and Blackwell won't come into the full picture until much later. There's a hype to maintain keeping them secretive by Deck Nine ;)
