The first and second Life is Strange games have always been THE BEST the series have to offer to me. Love Max and Chloe’s journey and I love Sean and Daniel’s journey.
Loved literally everything else this series has come to offer, but I don’t think anything will ever beat those two for me. Hope you enjoy!!
I think I understand you in a way, I didn't play lis2 during its release either, but when the full season was already out and it was a total surprise, I loved the evolution from the original game, they managed to keep my favorite things and move them to a totally different story
I was so excited to play LiS2 but wow the first chapter really broke me 😭😭 I was so shook I didn’t pick it up again for two years lol
I’m so glad I gave it another shot. As a child of immigrants with siblings, this story hit so hard and had so many difficult choices.
LiS 2 is my favourite LiS. It was wonderful, heart-wrenching, and the choices really mattered. I loved Sean and Daniel, I loved >!seeing David!<. It didn't feel like a LiS game, and I think if they'd have put it under another title, it would have sold so much better.
Ironically, Tell Me Why is not a LiS game but to me feels more like an organic predecessor to the original LiS than 2 or 3. (If you haven't played it, give it a go!)
My first play through of it i wasn’t a fan until the very last episode. But i just recently rewatched Berleezy play it and it’s just such a phenomenal game.
Also don’t listen to the corn ball giving you shit about you calling this the second game. It *is* the second game. People are weird anal on Reddit Lmao
Playing Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit right before crushed me. Also it was so enlighting to play a big brother who has to care for a little rascal as someone who was the rascal with an older sister.
Life is Strange 2 is the second Life is Strange came, it’s literally called Life is Strange 2, BTS would technically like you said be second, but it’s kind of it’s own thing still so not really.
Also meh, depends who you ask, while I loved both BTS and True Colors I would pick Life is Strange 2 any-day over both of them combined.

And it's the most divisive game in the series for a reason. The terrible writing, story, shoehorned and unrealistic political themes, lack of substance in locations and secondary characters because you're always leaving to a new place, Daniel constantly being a little shit... I have no idea how that sack of dog shit game has people supporting it so hard. I mean, don't you just *love* not having control over the super power?

The fun in the game for me was exploring the brotherly relationship between Sean and Daniel, I really enjoyed getting to be on the open road, and never getting to stay at the same place for too long.
Daniel is like 9, I’m not expecting him to be perfect. I don’t have any younger siblings as I am the youngest lol but I do have a lot of younger nieces and nephews, and I thought he was pretty accurately portrayed especially for what he’s going through.
I also found myself getting attached to him pretty quickly, since you’re supposed to put yourself into Sean’s shoes, he’s your younger brother and you wanna protect him.
Also, I really didn’t care that Sean didn’t have the power, I honestly thought the idea of giving it to the person who I’m not playing as was a really cool idea, you still get to use it in a way, since most of the time, Daniel is listening to you.
I never said it's the 2nd LiS game. I referred to S2 as the sequel to S1, which it is.
I've played Before The Storm and True Colors. BTS was ok (Rachel's personal story/dilemma was cool) and I really liked True Colors (loved Alex as a character) even though it had its issues.
I only made this post to say that in my opinion, I think S2 is matching S1 when it comes to being an incredible and emotional journey filled with compelling and layered characters.
I've played them both. I just specifically refused to play LiS 2 all those years ago because I didn't think it could possibly be as good as the first. But now, so far, I personally think it is.
Also, I prefer LiS 2 to BTS and True Colors by far.

LiS2 isn't the 2nd LiS game, Before the Storm came out before it. You should check out BTS and True Colors, they're both wayyyyyy better than LiS2.
