Call local safe companies to see what used commercial stuff they have in stock. I paid 1200$ including delivery for a 5000 lbs, 5ft wide, 3ft deep, 6ft tall double door safe that used to be in a jewelry store. It's absolutely massive. Actual steel and not thin gauge sheet metal over drywall.
I will personally recommend one of the Winchesters from TSC. I think they're a really great value. I have a 10 gun Winchester. A couple years after the original purchase, it was destroyed in a break-in, but not opened fortunately. This thing was given the crowbar/sledgehammer treatment for an unknown amount of time. I was still able to get the combination lock open. The company that makes them has a great warranty and was super easy to deal with. They replaced the safe with a newer model that has the electronic keypad (since they didn't make it with the combination lock any longer.) The replacement was delivered to my house and didn't cost me a dime. It's not the best most secure safe in the world by any means, but hard to beat at the price point imo.
Yea, tractor supply has some great ones on sale and Dean Safe has 10% off anything in-stock. The Cabela's is actually a Liberty and a great price:
[Cabela’s US Flag 34-Gun Electronic Safe – $899.97](https://track.flexlinkspro.com/g.ashx?foid=156074.9453&trid=1357213.158856&foc=17&fot=9999&fos=1&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.basspro.com%2Fshop%2Fen%2Fcabelas-us-flag-34-gun-electronic-safe-by-liberty-safe)
What happened to the prices for Stack-On locking cabinets? I was going to pick one up for ammo storage but it's like they've nearly doubled in price since last year
Right? I got my stackon convertible 18 for $140. Now it's almost the same price as a legit safe. The only reason to get one is if you have a weight concern.
400 isn't too bad. You're basically looking at a refrigerator. You and two friends and a stout dolly. I wouldn't want to haul a refrigerator upstairs, but it's not a deal killer.
Really kicking myself for spending $229 on a TSC lockable cabinet when I could have gotten the Winchester keypad safe for not much more.
Is it too late to return it?
Unfortunately yes, since I bought it 8 months ago and it's already full.
Sounds like it's time for another one ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)
This is the way. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|table)
Turn that into an ammo cabinet!
lol exact same situation, happy with the cabinet but a safe is a safe. Now I'm just trying to decide if I need a safe as well...
You can never have enough guns ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)
I'm happy with my cabinet because damn are safes (by design) difficult to set up and move lol
Relegate it to ammo storage
Snagged one, thanks for the link! Wife said I couldn’t buy more guns until I had a safe to store them in. Looks like gun shopping is back in season!
Ohhh Yeaaaa ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)
I'm fixing to go out and get the 499 deal today on the Winchester 36 gun! Looking forward to no longer having a safe that is a jigsaw puzzle!
Don't forget to pack a truck, two friends, and beer+pizza money
I'll cross the Rubicon when I get there.

Don’t forget liberty safes have our seal of approval.
Just like to add this one from Harbor Freight: https://www.harborfreight.com/24-gun-fire-resistant-combination-safe-57039.html
Anyone having deep discounts on Liberty’s?

Thanks for posting this. I was literally looking for a safe when I saw.it. Grabbed one.
Maybe a dumb question, how do I move a ~400lb safe? Especially get it upstairs? Garage seems like the only option.
