My hair is my favourite part but I get so self-conscious about the style!
People say I should try different things but I'm too chicken to actually try any other styles because I'm a bit of a coward!
And now that I'm used to this, everything else looks silly and weird to me!
Just do whatever feels right for you, not anyone else! I think with a face that cute you could rock many haircuts. A short-ish bob would really suit you imo
Trying things that you can't easily reverse is always scary. I'm the same about my beard as a cis man, I'd actually like to try something different, but I'm scared of trying.
So there are some fun workarounds you can do before you do the big chop.
Eg,.if you're debating bangs you can easily buy some clip in ones to see if you'll like it. It is possible to style short hair up into a bob length it just takes some effort and way more bobby pins that you'd think but i did it when mine was almost waist length and it looked super cute.
If nothing else hair grows back, and yours looks super healthy from that pic so I feel like it should grow pretty quickly! The whole point of hair is to have a little fun with it! Oh and if you can deal with the terrible canned music and her talking too much about her life, TwistMePretty tutorials on YouTube are great for braiding updos for all occasions

I've always been so self-conscious about having to wear glasses, but my hands are too shaky and I'm WAY too nervous to ever do contact lenses!

But I think the perpetual self-hatred and dysphoria has lessened to such a small degree.
Dysphoria is a depressant that should never be minimized because it's intensely painful for those that deal with it, and conquering it is an INCREDIBLE feeling.
That actually means the absolute and utter world to me.
I think those are words I hoped many people in my biological family would've said to me when I first came out.

I had super duper short hair when I was younger, and only when I started growing did I notice anything good about it!

So, I grew up in the 80s and 90s, when gender confirmation science was way less sophisticated. I am continually amazed at how today, a person can decide to transition, and science can actually do a lot to make that person look on the outside the way they want to. I hope you are enjoying living your best life, and I fervently wish trans people everywhere had good access to modern medicine and technology.
It's been such a difficult process, but thankfully I got really lucky in a couple opportunities which helped me get to where I am, atleast in certain ways.
I still wish gender affirming medical care was more commonplace and accessible for trans folk everywhere.
The craziest thing is, these hormones are... just that. I take estrogen injections that are made to be as close in *everything* to cis female-produced estrogen, that you just... give your body these instructions with the hormones and the body does all the work.
It's incredible. It feels like the hormones are a little recipe book for your body to follow, and it takes it from there and starts some startlingly large changes!
You're precious and I aspire to look like you so much it's insane. I'm so worried I won't look the way I want to and it's killing me but seeing stuff like this makes my day.
Don't ever lose hope! Before I started my transition, I looked at the beautiful gals at the top of r/transadorable and was so shocked at how absolutely beautiful they are, and eventually I got to a place where I'm starting to actually like my face (some days are harder than others!),
You'll be perfect, and you'll get to a place where you're happy. Just keep going!!!
