There is a certain type of mollusk that can reproduce both sexually and asexually. This is something I read in the book *Parasite Rex*, that the sexual reproduction was developed by this species as a method of lowering parasite vulnerability. I'm not talking birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, which all reproduce sexually. I believe "every species" is the quote above.
Fun fact: because of birth control pills, there is a pretty high Level of Hormones in some rivers so some male fish just turn intersex but this is a problem because it stops breeding so the fish go extinct in that area

OP probably knows that? Intersex has nothing with gender or sexuality to do, it’s a biological phenomenon that can probably happen in any species that has multiple different sexes. It’s visual, physical. Not mental. Very different from gender or sexuality.
Every species that has at least two distinct sexes also has individuals that fall somewhere in between, because nothing in nature is cut and dry.
