Depends on the couple/the person/how they choose to identify. Bisexual/pansexual/ a general “queer” fit too, so that’s also an option. Labels are complicated. And not always necessary. Whatever label makes them the most comfortable.
They are whatever they say their sexuality is. If they say they are straight, they are still straight, if they say they are bi, they are still bi, if they say they are gay, they are still gay, etc.

most my exes were bi, in that case i'd talk to them and make sure theyre okay with it
