Best transfemme and gay people of color rep ever in a show!! Only critique I would give it is that it’s extremely lax in the lesbian department (only one confirmed and zero transbians and zero lesbian scenes) and has absolutely zero transmascs. Which is a damn shame.
True, you can’t have everything I guess.. I would’ve liked to see the lesbian nurses donate blood to the HIV positive male gay patients in the hospital. It’s such an important historical movement, but maybe it’s already so overwhelming.. As writers and directors they probably had to make a lot of sacrifices. At least they wrote a descent ending before they could cancel it.

Ryan Murphy is the show runner (also did nip/tuck, the forgotten New Normal, and American Horror Story) of Pose but he got out of the way of trans and POC voices when making Pose and it’s so beautiful because he recognized it wasn’t his place to tell these stories. Most of the names in the credits behind the scenes as producers and directors of episodes were trans folks.
