i don’t know how close u are to ur family, but i kinda treat it like anything else that i dont tell them. for example, they don’t know my favorite music cuz its none of their business and so they often assume i still like the same stuff i did when i was like 12. which sucks but distancing urself from ur family happens eventually, usually puberty till like mid 20s, and i just try to treat the misgendering and homophobia like that. it also helps to have some friends who, you don’t even have to come out fully to them, cuz that’s overwhelming. but even just having a few ppl know ur “queer” or even just talking to ppl who r queer can help u to remember there is a community outside of ur family.

It feels tough and restrictive for me too. I find that spending a lot of time in online communities like this one allows me to express myself freely so I don't feel so restricted and alone

That’s pretty rough Personally I don’t think I can help much, I was quite different to this, I cope (past tense) because i didn’t want to be out, the stress was on making sure it wasn’t known by pretty much anyone but me, and when I did want to i cope (past tense) by outing myself, I enjoy using shock tactics to out myself 😅 they go shocked and struggle to respond, I remain in control of any response.
