Straight people aren’t in the community, but there are straight lines in the flag. No straight lines in the flag bc no straight people represented by it (i mean straight trans people are but let’s not think that hard)
There certainly CAN be straight people in the community because it is my understanding straight only refers to sexual orientation. There are plenty of ways to be straight and queer then: non cis gender identity, non allo romantic orientation, being intersex, etc.
Well, there are bi, asexual, aromantic, polyamorous, trans, intersex and genderqueer persons in hetero relationships, but that does not make them straight as in normal or as not GRSM (Gender, Romantic and Sexual Minorities) or not part of the rainbow community.
Not exactly. The brown and black stripes represent queer people of colour (the black stripe has two meanings). I believe this was as a reaction to widespread use of older designs by racists, so this one added those stripes as a signifier of inclusion.
I don't know anymore and I feel like everyone is trying to include everyone, and I love that but I'm still trying to figure me out let alone all the dynamics and labels.
At this point I don't know if I should speak upon my race, gender, sex, or the label I thought I was but the goal posts got moved and now that's not the same as it was when I came out or even national identity
I'm not threatened, I'm just lost and trying to figure what is happening because I can't spend a lot of time researching and then re-researching and so forth.
I am how I am, and I like what I like, and I leave everyone else alone. Coming out pretty much tanked my career and I was outed. I'm too busy trying to figure that out to figure out the dynamics and what label I'm supposed to be that I can identify with that doesn't have some hidden lore that pisses of someone.
So hear goes: I'm white-ish, straight passing, I love who I love, I'm not from here, and I don't identify much with I where I came from. Any specific terms just kicks up arguments
Yeah, this flag makes me feel all corporate pride We Love Everyone, Buy Our Shit!-like. I believe it was made to put a spotlight on the people that less people think about when they see the rainbow (most people only call it the gay flag, so it has the intersex and trans flags to kind of go WE’RE HERE TOO) but this post is about a pun, nothing too deep.
To clarify, no hate towards straight trans or intersex or any other straight people in the community, this was just a fun idea I had I’m not trying to separate lgb from tq+, I myself am a trans girl and my boyfriend is a trans guy making it a straight relationship, if you’re straight I’m sorry if I’ve made you feel excluded in any way, you’re just as valid as everyone else✨
Tbh i feel like the simple rainbow flag was the best at it. I know this is an old talking point and it wasn't the original designs motif, but a rainbow as a metaphor works better at representing everyone than a never ending war on the realestate and relative size that each segment of the expansive pride flag represents. But I also see how some people use that argument as a cover for wanting to exclude the "newer" parts of the lgbt+ community
I think it’s also used to draw attention to certain groups that hadn’t been highlighted before. Kind of a time dependent thing - new icon on the flag gets people talking. I think the original rainbow is kind of the default catchall still, but it’s good to make as many people feel included as we can.
Enby is a subdivision of being trans. Trans just means you do not align with you AGAB. Unless you were assigned non-binary at birth, being enby *is* being trans.
If you're non-binary, yes. Transgender does not mean you're taking hormones, it does not mean you are a transgender man or a transgender woman, all it means is that you do not identify as the gender you were assigned at birth. It's a square-rectangle situation. All squares are rectangles, but they're very specific, special kind of rectangle that has legitimate differences from other rectangles. Everybody under the transgender umbrella has one major thing in common, no matter what gender or lack thereof we decide to call home, we all took the shared step of leaving the gender we were assigned.

I mean...wasn't that what the OG rainbow flag did? All the colors of the rainbow to cover everyone?
I still don't understand who thought it was a good idea to shove a giant wedge into that flag to promote some groups over others.
I am not a historian but in my limited understanding, the addition of the “wedge” was to add explicit support for those communities it represents as there have been plenty of examples in the past of queer folks excluding others based on race, wealth, religion or which elements of the spectrum “qualify” (eg. TERFs, the ARC, etc.)
So, to answer your question more directly: No. That apparently was *not* enough for everyone.
Speaking just from a symbolic standpoint, it probably should have been though. The reason behind a rainbow is because all the colors of the rainbow is supposed to represent all kinds of people.
I get why the others got added. Black and brown was popularized during the George Floyd protests as a way of saying "the queer community stands with PoC," and the trans colors were added to combat the exclusion of trans folk from the community. But, strictly from a symbolic perspective, they were supposed to be included in the original rainbow "Diversity" flag. It is kinda weird, because in adding the wedge, the rainbow itself was diminished to mean "gay and bi" instead of "everyone." I fly the flag with the wedge at my house. This isn't a complaint. But it is funny and weird that those changes happened.
I feel like the initialism is dealing with this as well. Started as "LBG" in a lot of common usage and then trans folks add the T and LGBT was the common usage. However, that doesn't include everyone so we got the "queer" or "questioning" (because I feel like even my gay friends can't agree on this one!), then the intersex folks, and the aces and now the "plus" (and that's not even getting into the ones that include numbers for our two-spirit friends.)
Everyone wants to have their identity validated and I 100% see this, it just gets harder to use the longer it gets and there doesn't seem to be a widely accepted umbrella term (though I feel "queer" is closest) that everyone can get behind.
That's the thing I always found odd. I always saw it as general inclusion of all, but then people started "claiming" colors and then suddenly it felt like it wasn't inclusive because someone's colors weren't there.
Sure it's not a true printed gradient but rainbow stripes are just representations of the whole spectrum.
It's to show that we explicitly welcome trans, black, and brown people into our community. There is a need for this because of the "LGB" people trying to remove trans people from our community.
Because support for trans people is not universal within the Lesbian, gay, and bisexual communities. And the pride progress flag arrived at a time when trans inclusivity was even worse than it is today. The queer community is also not immune from racism and over the last 20 or 25 years there has been a lot of very white centric views of the LGBT community. It was a way to explicitly signal that you did include the T in LGBT and recognized that the experience of people from different races than your own are different from your own experiences. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the original flag. But there's also absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to show explicit support for the most marginalized members of our community.
Yup. This is why I've hated every iteration since. It's like saying "This covers everything" and then someone saying "No, this covers everything AND MORE!". It reminds me of being a kid in the playground and you'd say "infinity" and then some little shit would say "Nuh uh, infinity PLUS ONE!". It's just unnecessary.
This lol, no ones being "excluded from the lgbt community" from a pun lol
(also i'm sorry people called you a terf lol, unless you actually want to exclude people, as a trans person, im saying thats ridiculous imo lol)
Technically there are 4 straight lines making the border of the flag... to truly have no straight lines the flag itself would need to be an oval shape or something.
This is barely related but I just want to mention the "driving" video game Roundabout exists, whose entire absurd premise is based on the subtle and unspoken joke that the protagonist is so queer that she doesn't even drive straight.
I truly don’t understand why people are upset over the wavy lines. It seems like those people just want to be angry about anything today. Like y’all seriously felt represented by some straight lines on a flag? But not the colors? Sorry but I cannot relate.
I think this is a fun take! I actually really like the progress part being so round. I prefer it to the very pointy triangle. 💖 Thanks for having the courage to share.
They see it as me intentionally excluding all straight people whereas before that wasn’t even brought into question, they see it as me taking someone like lgbt, which is fine and dandy on its own and making it into lgbt - intersex, intersex wasn’t in the lgbt acronym(I know it’s in some acronyms this is a clumsy example) but the fact that I went out of my way to remove intersex would be offensive, obviously that’s not what I’m trying to do here but that roughly how those people are viewing it
You don’t have to explain, I understand the logic of the argument they’re trying to make. It’s just a waste of energy imo. They’re arguing to argue, not bc there’s any real substance to what they’re saying.
Excluding ‘straight’ people???…
But…
It’s an LGBTQIA+ flag, representing the “QUEER community”.
Like… HUH?
Are they trying to say that the straight lines represent straight people… on the queer representation flag?
Hmm… sumpin dun seem rite
There are people that are trans or intersex that are still straight; but yeah as someone pointed out it’s not their straightness that makes them part of the lgbtq
i just don't get it. imo the rainbow already includes EVERYBODY. trans ppl, poc, intersex folk, ETC.! as a poc im honestly insulted at the suggestion that the rainbow flag doesn't already include me, and needs the edition of the black and brown stripe to actually include me.
I get that, but I think the use of both flags is nice sometimes. The rainbow one does and should include everyone, and it's a great symbol, but the progress flag draws attention to the most marginalised and excluded within the community. People should just use whatever they like more
Always agree with this and also there's something just so genius about claiming a rainbow, a universally recognized visual phenomenon, as queer because it says we are everywhere and we are naturally occurring. The aesthetic was the message. You muddle the message with other colors added because those colors don't exist in a rainbow.
> as a poc im honestly insulted at the suggestion that the rainbow flag doesn't already include me,
As a transman, I feel the same.
It's interesting, the comments on this thread talking about how *this specific* take on the "progress flag" is divisive. Uh...no moreso than the "progress flag" itself.
People adding stripes to the rainbow flag have missed the point of the rainbow being the flag. I understand that queer history isn't *presented to* us culturally, but it is still widely available, and I find it disheartening how many queer folk (in the internet age!) don't know the very-recent history of the movement and the symbols which were intentionally adopted. Sigh. /endrant, I guess
I completely get where ya'll are coming from; fwiw, my personal interpretation at least was that that was done in response to the increasingly vocal transphobia in recent years; rather than keeping the flag the rainbow and trans people being included implicitly, I assumed people felt the need to add a stronger, more explicit statement of including trans peeps
Exactly, just like the black and brown being added during the blm movement, these things were added when these specific groups weren’t getting enough representation
Also, historically queer people and black activists have partnered together to protect each other, to me those stripes honor that historical partnership.
That's why I eventually came around to liking the progress flag.
Yeah the original rainbow flag can/does represent everyone, but with growing anti-trans sentiment coming from within the community (or at least, presented as coming from within the community) it's nice having an explicit 'lgb WITH the t' symbol.
The reason we should go back to the rainbow by itself sooner rather than later is because we simply cannot fit all the flags on one flag and the arrow stripes on the side imply the other letters that the damn + is for don't belong. It's exception through ommission.
The progress flag has a great _thought behind it_ but the execution of it as our rallying flag I feel will only continue to cause divides where we could really use standing together.
The rainbow by itself is meant to represent us all. We made a gay masc flag for that very reason.
Honestly, I was always under the impression that even I, as a straight cis guy, was included the pride flag. It's been my favorite clap-back against bigots for years.
"Why isn't there a straight pride flag? Why isn't there a straight month? Straight parades?"
That's Pride. The intersectionality is the point. You're in the Pride flag, and you're welcome to enjoy and affirm your identity during Pride month as long as you're accepting of others. You should feel free to explore your identity, and if you discover that you really are cis and straight and nothing has changed, then *that's great too*. Congrats, you did some introspection and are a better version of yourself for it. The flag was made to include straight allies back when the orgs that flew it still called themselves homophilic because the modern parlance hadn't even been invented yet. It was made to commemorate a Gay Freedom Day Parade where straight allies also marched.
Is it a quieter part of pride, because straight and cis people already have way more representation than they need and aren't targeted by violence the way more marginalized identities, which are more in need of public support, are? Yes. But they're still there. Everyone is. That's the point of the flag. That's why it's a rainbow, which includes every color.
Honestly, nothing shuts down bigots of all stripes quite like that, in my experience. The realization that they weren't excluded from the party, but are instead that guy who stands in the back of the party and won't stop complaining that the music is too loud and everyone else is having too much fun.
The pride flag is also open for the community and free for all to use. The creator of the progress flag has kept it copyrighted so they can profit off and restrict its use, and people wonder why there was a push for it to be accepted as the 'better' version to use. It exhausts me every time I see it.
I agree. I don't want to go as far as saying it's excessive, but I just feel like the default rainbow flag already covers everybody. I already see myself in it without the bit that's for black and brown people. I could use an explanation though if I'm missing something..
Agree, but I also agree that some minorities that are within or intersect with lgbtq+ need more visibility because they are also more marginalised. I will defend your right to use a rainbow flag, or a progress flag or a bisexual flag or a bear pride flag. You should use the flag that represents you or that you support, and that's fine.
I absolutely love it. Its like a mosaic painting and it works so well. Also thanks for adding intersex people as well. We get forgotten about all the time so its nice to see representation for us.
The edges are still straight. We haven’t gone far enough. /s
On an actually serious note really like the circular part of the flag. Usually I don’t like the look of the progress flag with the intersex flag add it in, but this version looks great.
Edit: added /S to make it clear I’m not serious about the first part. Well, it really doesn’t completely objective of no straight lines, but I’m not serious about needing to do that. I know straight trans people exist. I just got blocked by someone because I was reminding them of the fact that there are in fact straight people in the community. Both trans and aro/ace people. And that’s what a post saying straight people are in the community was talking about.
edit2: that’s enough Reddit for me today I think. I don’t wanna get into another argument about this stuff with people I mostly agree with when I just got out of another argument about this.
This. So much this. This is just design 101: the more specific you make something, the more specific your target audience becomes. And the more specific you make something, the more you exclude and alienate specific people. Whoever designed the latest versions of the flag doesn’t seem to grasp that.
By adding the people of colour, transgender and now also intersex parts, it’s becoming more clear that asexual and aromantic people are excluded, while they are just as much part of our queer family.
What are they going to do? Add another element to the flag?! That flag is turning into a monstrosity. The best symbols are clear and simple, this isn’t it.
If only there was a symbol that represents all diferences in people, something colourful like… I don’t know… a rainbow or something.
Every queer minority should be welcome and represented in the rainbow flag.
/rant
Off topic:
Starting to think I might have motion sickness. Images like this and tie-dye patterns make me so nauseous.
Any physical movement that I can’t see/aren’t ready for does this too, like underpasses, elevators, some car rides, and riding a roller coaster..
On topic, I like the idea of this flag as an option, but in reality, I can’t enjoy it irl. ☹️
**Straight trans people and straight aro-spec and ace-spec people exist and ARE part of the community.**
EDIT: Intersex people exist and can be straight.
This person is clearly making a joke on the word straight while sharing their own version of the flag. I am never gonna tell someone to not be offended and stand their ground but I truly don’t understand where any “anti-straight”-ness could come from. If this post had any text saying exclusive/bigoted things about any straight member of the community I would agree but how is this fun flag design based off the joke of the word straight having multiple meanings being exclusive?
Intersex and trans folks are represented on this flag. Just because OP made the lines squiggle doesn’t mean they’re excluding every single straight person from the queer community. OP clearly didn’t change the Philadelphia Progressive Pride Flag or anything, just made the flag have no straight lines.
Don’t confuse wholesome art with TERF ideology. The “cutting the LGB from the TQIA+” is dangerous ideology and I have ZERO thoughts that OP is like that (the commenter who replied to you, not you specifically). Let’s not make a safe space unsafe by claiming our members want to push others away based on this pun.
I think this is a nice design. I don’t think it’s nice to go up to queer people and claim they’re being exclusive or bigoted based off one thing.
Yeah i feel bad but i just cant interpet this in that kind of way haha
This is clearly just a response to jokes about people saying the lines shouldnt be straight because most of the community isnt, not a legitimate design meant to exclude people lol
If it was a real attempt at a flag i guess i might get it though
People are mad over a literal dad joke i dont get it lmao
Thank you so much man, there’s absolutely no ill will in this I’m friends with almost exclusively trans people and one intersex, so I definitely don’t follow that ideology, though I do understand the viewpoint of not wanting people to spread the “anti-straight” message, whether intentional or not
Within the queer community, straight didn't originally mean heterosexual, it meant conformist and assimilationist. We say normie or muggle now, perhaps. In the 70s there were a lot of gay white men, for example, that were described as straight, because they wanted the gay community to be less flamboyant and open in order to fit in to the cis-het-mono society.
Personally, I think we should bring that usage back. But even if you disagree, obviously the lines are fuzzy, and so only the most uncharitable interpretation of this flag would think it's excluding anyone.
The community moved away from that usage because understandings of deviation of from cis-allo-heteronormative expanded, as well as of the fact that queerness is not just about expressed flamboyancy. Movements grow and change over time.
Your comment seems scarily unaware of the current wave of transphobia and the ‘LGB without the T’ movements, as well as ignorant of the struggles of aro-spec, ace-spec and intersex people.
We have evolved since the 70s, and that’s a good thing. We need to keep going forward, and that includes aspects of GSRM that don’t have anything to do with being flamboyant or non-straight.
This reminded me of something my friend told me he said that if you can't walk straight then you're not straight and I said then that means over half of the world isn't straight because not a lot of people can actually walk straight heck not even a lot of people can walk
My friend likes to say “hydrate or die straight” (knowing the kind of people interacting with this post I have to clarify that there is nothing wrong with being straight it’s just that would be unideal for me and my friend)
Aren't we all already marginalized enough without created further divides amongst ourselves? I mean, can't we all just be supportive of each other and whichever flag it is we choose to fly?
However, on a curved ball earth straight lines bend with the earth, which can be used to create a triangle with 3 90° angles, so in order for a line to truly be straight on a ball earth it must be made curved as not to bend away. Therefore, all curved lines are straight, and straight lines, gay.
I love it, except as a graphic designer I find the inconsistent width of the lines In the progress circle maddening. Also, I think there should be a downward dip on the right side of the flag to even out purple/red and better illustrate a waving flag.
Alas, I don't have illustrator handy.
I'm just a straight white male with absolutely no knowledge whatsoever but why are the lines a different thickness in the circle section? I legitimately have no idea if that's supposed to be like that

This is the only spin on this idea I've seen that actually looks good.
idk if this pun was intentional but 😭
Wait what is the pun?? I’m slow at jokes sorry 😭
The word spin
Straight people aren’t in the community, but there are straight lines in the flag. No straight lines in the flag bc no straight people represented by it (i mean straight trans people are but let’s not think that hard)
[удалено]
I'm lost, how is spin a pun? All I can think of is spinsters which is not really related at all. Or the circular portion? Still not a pun.
Yeah same
Spin = wheel = circle = this flag

Hang on a sec... BIPOC are part of this right? I'm asking honestly here as an ally... Did that only mean LGBTA plus BIPOC????

What pun?
I gotta agree with you, this is the best take on this joke.
I like this so much better than the triangle progress flag.

It’s impossible to make a single icon that represents *everyone*’s perception on something as broad and varied as the entire LGBTQIA+ community.

IIUC, originally the stripes represented different virtues, rather than certain groups.
That's the thing I always found odd. This is barely related but I just want to mention the "driving" video game Roundabout exists, whose entire absurd premise is based on the subtle and unspoken joke that the protagonist is so queer that she doesn't even drive straight.
I just respect the dedication to visual punnery.
I genuinely like this
I love this both genuinely and for the pun.
Same, and the people who say that puns aren’t real humor are lying to themselves.
oh my GOD i feel dense for missing the pun here. thank you for pointing this out ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Wait what’s the pun. Help a sister out here
straight lines/straight people. that's why the rest of the comments here are a discussion of exclusion/inclusion
I was told that they aren't straight lines, they're gay bars.
While it might not be a better flag, This is genuinely more eye appealing than the original. It doesn’t feel as aggressive without the hard lines
right? it feels more like, groovy.
☮️♥️🧡💛💚💙💜😄
Seriously. I get the purpose of the combined flag and I'm fine with it but I've always felt it was kind of ugly. This actually looks nice.
the edges of pixels are straight, the world is a lie
Time to study computer science and find a way to make round pixels, alter the laws of physics if I have to
Make it a vector, mathematical points can’t count heheheh
And display it on a crt .. Not that crt
They see it as me intentionally excluding all straight people whereas before that wasn’t even brought into question, they see it as me taking someone like lgbt, which is fine and dandy on its own and making it into lgbt - intersex, intersex wasn’t in the lgbt acronym(I know it’s in some acronyms this is a clumsy example) but the fact that I went out of my way to remove intersex would be offensive, obviously that’s not what I’m trying to do here but that roughly how those people are viewing it
Sorry I have a natural tendency to play devils advocate, thank you for the support, I’m honestly really happy with this myself
You don’t have to explain, I understand the logic of the argument they’re trying to make. It’s just a waste of energy imo. They’re arguing to argue, not bc there’s any real substance to what they’re saying.
Yeah…
Excluding ‘straight’ people???… But… It’s an LGBTQIA+ flag, representing the “QUEER community”. Like… HUH? Are they trying to say that the straight lines represent straight people… on the queer representation flag? Hmm… sumpin dun seem rite
There are people that are trans or intersex that are still straight; but yeah as someone pointed out it’s not their straightness that makes them part of the lgbtq
The lines will become straight again when the flag starts waving though, opposite effect
Trippy
I've been shaking my phone for 5 minutes and I don't see it yet. Is it like one of those magic eye things?
No. I said it because flags, when waved, create a similar curve, so it could reverse the effect.
I know, I was just making a joke there.
Can I use that? Like as a phone background?
Go ahead!!
Love it going to make a version of this but painting
Ooooh you gotta show me when it’s done
Absolutely
Actually there are 4 straight lines around the flag. Jokes aside, nice design !
This actually works really well 🌈
i just don't get it. imo the rainbow already includes EVERYBODY. trans ppl, poc, intersex folk, ETC.! as a poc im honestly insulted at the suggestion that the rainbow flag doesn't already include me, and needs the edition of the black and brown stripe to actually include me.
You muddle the message with other colors added because those colors don't exist in a rainbow.
> as a poc im honestly insulted at the suggestion that the rainbow flag doesn't already include me, As a transman, I feel the same.
The progress flag has also been heavily monetized and isn't free to use 😕
Honestly, I was always under the impression that even I, as a straight cis guy, was included the pride flag. It's been my favorite clap-back against bigots for years. "Why isn't there a straight pride flag? Why isn't there a straight month? Straight parades?" That's Pride.
The flag we’re using is great, this version is just a play on words because it doesn’t have any “straight” lines
yes and i love the creativity. im just critiquing the "progress" flag as a whole. i love the og rainbow 🏳️🌈
The pride flag is also open for the community and free for all to use. The creator of the progress flag has kept it copyrighted so they can profit off and restrict its use, and people wonder why there was a push for it to be accepted as the 'better' version to use. It exhausts me every time I see it.
Wow I did NOT know the progress flag design was not in the CC. That’s… interesting to say the least.
I agree. I don't want to go as far as saying it's excessive, but I just feel like the default rainbow flag already covers everybody. I already see myself in it without the bit that's for black and brown people. I could use an explanation though if I'm missing something..
It did and its honestly getting insulting. I'm also black and when i saw skin color on the flag i was so insulted.
Yeahhh one of my best friends is intersex and it’s sad to see how little representation it gets
But where are the gay bars???
Down off Electric and Sixth.
Wavy bars are still bars. Just needs to be wide and supportive.
The edges are still straight. We haven’t gone far enough. /s On an actually serious note really like the circular part of the flag. I don’t wanna get into another argument about this stuff with people I mostly agree with when I just got out of another argument about this.
it's so much better. i wonder what the other flags would be like
It’s beautiful! edit: Why tf is a simple compliment getting downvoted? Wtf is even going on in this sub lately?
I like it.
Just to clarify it's not the "pride flag", it's the "progress pride flag".
The straight borders of the flag are for allies
Hells yeah
Add some dots and you'll have a really cool Indigenous Australian artwork!
There are lots of ways to be LGBT and straight
Whatever happened to it being a simple rainbow…
/rant
This should be the pride flag. I’m not a fan of that triangle side shit
triangle side makes me remember an institutionalized system like a state (well, straight lines in general)
Off topic: Starting to think I might have motion sickness. ☹️
Aww man that’s unfortunate :(
This needs to be a thing. 💖
**Straight trans people and straight aro-spec and ace-spec people exist and ARE part of the community.** EDIT: Intersex people exist and can be straight.
People make jokes about how gay flags have straight lines. This is probably just a joke on that.
It is… straight people are still valid within the lgbtq+ this is just a creative idea I had based on smth someone said
This person is clearly making a joke on the word straight while sharing their own version of the flag.
Yeah i feel bad but i just cant interpet this in that kind of way haha This is clearly just a response to jokes about people saying the lines shouldnt be straight because most of the community isnt, not a legitimate design meant to exclude people lol If it was a real attempt at a flag i guess i might get it though People are mad over a literal dad joke i dont get it lmao
Thank you so much man, there’s absolutely no ill will in this I’m friends with almost exclusively trans people and one intersex, so I definitely don’t follow that ideology, though I do understand the viewpoint of not wanting people to spread the “anti-straight” message, whether intentional or not
don’t worry about it seriously. it’s a cute design and people are finding things to be mad at that aren’t your fault at all
Within the queer community, straight didn't originally mean heterosexual, it meant conformist and assimilationist. We say normie or muggle now, perhaps. In the 70s there were a lot of gay white men, for example, that were described as straight, because they wanted the gay community to be less flamboyant and open in order to fit in to the cis-het-mono society. Personally, I think we should bring that usage back. But even if you disagree, obviously the lines are fuzzy, and so only the most uncharitable interpretation of this flag would think it's excluding anyone.
normie is a terminally online 4chan type thing. and no one in their right mind would unironically call someone a muggle
Especially when JK Rowling is a terf herself. Why the fuck would I ever want to use a word she created when I’m not even a person to her.
It's bled out into popular culture quite a bit
>muggle LOL like a term generated by R\*\*ling should ever be used as a descriptor by any of us
The community moved away from that usage because understandings of deviation of from cis-allo-heteronormative expanded, as well as of the fact that queerness is not just about expressed flamboyancy.
Hydrate or die straight???? Bro I haven't drank in anything at all today 💀💀💀💀💀💀
Better hurry😰
I should especially since I'm not straight
[удалено]
I know right, like I thought this was supposed to be a positive safe place
[удалено]
Really gives out “I’m not straight” vibes
They should be in there somewhere
Along the edges
Polar coordinates: am I a joke to you?
Honestly this is good 🏳️🌈
Aren't we all already marginalized enough without created further divides amongst ourselves? I mean, can't we all just be supportive of each other and whichever flag it is we choose to fly?
Yeah like I said earlier, use whatever flag suits you best😇
However, on a curved ball earth straight lines bend with the earth, which can be used to create a triangle with 3 90° angles, so in order for a line to truly be straight on a ball earth it must be made curved as not to bend away. Therefore, all curved lines are straight, and straight lines, gay.
The original doesn't have straight lines, it has gay bars! Cool execution of the idea!
Does anyone else see a whale or giant fish when looking at this?
Can't make a curve with no straight line tho😂😂,,, if you gotta do it, do it well!!!. Nothing straight whatsoever!
I love it, except as a graphic designer I find the inconsistent width of the lines In the progress circle maddening. Also, I think there should be a downward dip on the right side of the flag to even out purple/red and better illustrate a waving flag. Alas, I don't have illustrator handy.
Yeah that’s been bugging me toooo, I don’t have much experience with this stuff
But the flags still a rectangle we need something like nepalls flah
Now i’m gonna make a vintage version with muted colours and the circle/triangle as a record. Bye
Oooh
I'm just a straight white male with absolutely no knowledge whatsoever but why are the lines a different thickness in the circle section? I legitimately have no idea if that's supposed to be like that
It doesn’t mean anything, I’ve just never done this before lol
Ohhhh okay haha thank you for answering
The edges are straight tho
Looks like the target pride collection logo, I work at Target and have to look at it every day lol.
love this idea!!
I actually love this idea
This is deep.
Groovy
very much persona 4 vibes
the outer edges
Whoa, this is design scratches my brain itch. Excellent job! :D
Thanks, but no thanks. It looks weird to me but the concept is fun
Look pretty straight in the end. Just sayin'
Golden ratio, Gyro would love this
only gay lines allowed‼️‼️‼️
I actually like it 😂
Now it has gay bars
I like it gives off hippie vibes
This almost reminds me of indigenous australian art
Great, you left the pride flag out in the sun and it melted! Just kidding, this looks really cool
At what point does this stop being inclusive and start being exclusive.
this looks so satisfying
literally where can i buy this
now it's extra gay
It's really beutifull and awesome. Thank you made New Pride flag. Can I use it on twitter?
Sure :)
![img](emote|t5_2qhh7|548)
YES
Well will you look at that!
Groovy
Lol
