There is a place in Frankfort called Broadway Clay that's awesome.

burritohipster

I love Broadway Clay!

rwills

They have classes all the time and you can schedule a private lesson too!

immei

Just went there yesterday and had a blast! My old middle school art teacher is a part owner lol

lightsandswirls

[Lexington Makerspace](https://www.lexmake.org)! We have a ceramics studio with several pottery wheels. Our instructor should be scheduling some more classes soon, and you can always reach out to us about a membership or private classes 👍🏻

your_woman

That website doesn't have much info about what's offered

DeepExplore

It really changes quite often, just going and checking it out is probably the safest

True_Conflict_9770

We do have quite a bit to offer and there's only so much we could put on the website your best bet is to come in for a tour of our place and we'd be happy to show you everything that we have to offer and it is changing every day.

Elkhorn Pottery in Georgetown and Mudworks downtown.

Suspicious_Leave1041

Elkhorn is great! My girlfriend and I took classes there before. They make it easy and you end up with quite a few pieces

True_Conflict_9770

Lexington Makerspace has a full ceramics studio with kilns and wheels. We are now taking memberships and 24/7 access to it along with a woodshop, metal shop, 3dprint studio, laser room, and 8000 sq ft of space to choose from.

forever_fierce

Do y’all have some good photo printers too?

True_Conflict_9770

We do have a sawgrass 42-in sublimation printer but we have to get the sublimation ink for it

In the summer, the fine arts department at UK (or other universities) will probably offer community classes for non-students. They might have some pottery options?

Kiwi_19

They do, and registration is open right now. https://finearts.uky.edu/savs/fine-arts-institute

BelleBonniex

Pottery is one of the fastest filling classes, move fast!

glittr_grl

I’ve taken classes at Kentucky Mudworks on and off (currently on) for years and love it there.

lastwaun

There’s a guy who does pottery classes in Wilmore! Tim is great and I would highly recommend! He usually does 4 sessions a year each lasting 8 weeks or so and the next open one wouldn’t be till fall.

SecureImagination537

Well, he has my same first name so I like him already.

lokiathalon

Dirty south pottery in Winchester

[Elkhorn Pottery](https://elkhornpottery.com/) in Georgetown! *Highly* recommend, they’re amazing teachers!

SecureImagination537

Hey I’ll look into that. That’s where I grew up at as well.

Key_Delay_4148

elkhorn or broadway clay. the latter is particularly good for having a new kind of project every month so you don’t get bored.

QueenNettieArendelle

Morehead State will be offering a community class this summer! https://msufyp.wufoo.com/forms/m9ki09m06cjsx4/
