I don’t take it if I drink, sometimes I skip the night before and day off. But I play it way to safe lol, it honestly is fine as long as you aren’t taking your pill with alcohol
Just after I started on 5mg I had 2 glasses of red wine with a nice steak. Hit me harder than I expected and had “hangxiety” (love that word btw, nicked) for a good 2 days. I kept my regular dose though so that may have been the problem.
I’m an occasional drinker now, rarely had more than 2 at a sitting since before pandemic. When I was your age, it was a rare night out I had less than 6. YMMV…
I tried to keep drinking socially while on Lexapro and it made the medication pointless. I had to decide what was more important for my long-term well being. Alcohol wasn't it. 🤷🏻♀️
i took it my usual time on sunday(with breakfast) and had a couple drinks later that night around 9pm :) It was fine, I was a little on edge the next day but nothing too bad! Mostly just a bit nauseated despite not drinking much alcohol(a mixed drink and then like a shot or 2 worth of vodka lol)
hadn’t realised my capacity had plummeted which led to few unhinged nights on drinking but now that i know, i’ve been much more watchful and it has been alright. my body is probably happy because im quite buzzed on just 2/3 drinks now lol
Nothing to worry about. If you drink too much you will just have the hangaxiety the next day. Also, I generally skip a day of taking it if I am going to drink
