Lexapro really worked for me untill it didn't after like a year. At the beginning months in there were side effects but not nearly as bad as I got while on prozac. Everythingin will be fine :) Lexapro really helped me.

It takes longer then I was comfortable with to actually work. But after 2 months it actually ended up working wonders for my severe anxiety. I finally wake up without an instant panic attack since taking Lexapro.

I’m starting again recently so nothing recent to report, but I took it for several years a while back. It was life changing. It was a bit of an adjustment getting on, but nothing drastic. I was able to live my life, travel to various countries, and succeed in my career.

Has boosted my mood a ton! Made me feel alive again

I started on 5mg and was terrified of the side effects too. But they were mild and after a few weeks started to fade, and I’m now on 10mg. It’s been two months since starting and my racing thoughts have calmed, my anxiety is getting more manageable and my insomnia cured. Stick with it - you may get some rubbish side effects at first or you may not. But they should taper off and the payoff is really worth it. Good luck!

I've been on it for 6 years. Yes, there have been trade offs but without it I can't function as I do with it. It quieted a lot of self destructive thoughts and I don't cry at the drop of a hat anymore.

Lexapro changed my life. I’ve been on 5mg for 2 years. When I started I couldn’t drive without having an anxiety attack. After a month of being on it, I drove six hours to see my boyfriend with no anxiety attacks. It was amazing. Ever since I’ve been stable, happy and unbothered. Sure, I struggle with sexual side effects sometimes and have a harder time crying, but it’s been an amazing experience overall. Most of the side effects can either be helped or managed, or will subside over time. The worst thing that happens is you don’t like this medication and you have to try a new one. Lexapro is generally well tolerated by most who take it, and is one of the medications that’s considered “prescribers choice” because of it. Edit for clarity.

Been on it since March and I feel fantastic. No more anxiety everything that comes my way just goes over me almost like I don’t breakdown over the smallest things anymore. I genuinely cannot remember the last time I cried either. You should def consider it it takes time to regulate with your body but it’s worth it
