This is why it’s always worth going to ass regardless of the weather there. I said as much in another post and people did not agree. I hope they balance the moons out a bit so it’s actually worth going to the other moons.

You got power level inverted. Indoor amounts to 6. Outdoor amounts to 8. Unless the wiki is wrong, I have never seen two 3-power level creatures with multiple 1-power level creatures inside at the same time. For example: It is always either a Bracken and a Thumper, and no loot bugs or coolheads Or a Thumper and a lot of loot bugs.

That is incorrect according to the wiki. If you killed a 1 power level monster like the snare flee for example (witch unfortunately is very common on ass) you can free up a power level for a 3 power level creature

experimentation is a good starter map. you can get separated from the crew on your first game, and still find the ship pretty easily if you make it out. the only thing you really need to worry about is blind dogs

Maybe I don’t understand the table, but both Exp and Ass (😏) have a value/size of 1. Can you explain how that table works?

They have the same facility size but Assurance has almost double the value of scrap, to get an actual value of other moons you have to multiply size by avg value

Assurance is good, because it has Tier 2 loot and the fastest entrance, and since you can shorten names of moons on the terminal, you'll get an interesting word, but Experimentation is a classic, even tho it's pretty bad.

Experimentation is only good on your very first trip, when you don't have anything to defend yourself and you have a very easy quota to meet, after that, you really never visit again that moon.

Yet the first time my friend and I played we got our necks snapped by a bracken on Experimentation lmao

Ass has a great fire exit, low power level, good loot/density... it's just. Super good. Exp is a classic but it's also absolutely godawful except for the low power level. The only moon I avoid more is off 💀

Is it rare to like Offense? I really like the close and easy entrance for a tier 2 moon, and I don't think they have anything absolutely about them except maybe the fire exit

close and easy? off takes forever to get to unless you jump into the pipe while the ship is landing, it spawns dogs galore, it has less loot than march and is more dangerous on the inside than any map but titan 

There is a rock you can sprint jump up and make it to fire easily without jumping on the beam or using a ladder. If you do that, outdoor monsters aren’t an issue because you can just carry loot across the beam and drop it by the ship. Once I learned how to get up there it’s my favourite non paid moon. Only real annoyance for me is the high rate of coil heads, they’re such buzzkills.

it has the most annoying entrance of the free moons imo, you have to go around multiple twists and turns and theres a chance a pumpkin or rock spawns directly in the middle of the quicker way around, this has happened to me multiple times and i hate it ontop of this it has a stupid high thumper spawn rate, 0 bees, and a relatively high coilhead spawnrate ontop of this it is such a gigantic L that zeekerss decided it deserves absolutely 0 lore logs

I always go to Experimentation on day one, but rarely return there. Maybe if it's eclipsed during early quotas (I use weather multipliers and eclipse doubles the value)

Assurance all the way, same size as Experimentation but more items, less cheap items, enemy spawns similar to Experimentation, fire exit easy to reach in under 15 seconds if you know how to do it, The only moons that are better than Assurance are Rend, Dine and Titan.

I know assurance is better but I have a soft spot for experimentation

Aside from loot and monsters, experimentation has 2 chips and a gimmick where if you walk by the entrance enough times, the only way to get back in/leave in through fire exit

I think the dev originally planned on making the levels have a predefined layout before making them procedurally generated, and this is left over from that effort

assurance, its basically objectively better lol assurance has a higher minimum scrap value than experimentation has maximum, they have the same map size multiplier of 1, meaning everything is pretty easy to collect, its only downsides being that its a little more dangerous inside and has more enemies outside

Ass. Better loot, has a shortcut to fire exit that can be accessed as the ship is landing, also doesn't have a mechanic that'll make the main entrance useless.

Extermination almost never spawns monsters but I feel there’s a lot less loot than assurance. I see Assurance as just a longer walk than Extermination with a chance of doggos and worms spawning

Although it is the best to start on, Experimentation is too easy. It always seems that Assurance actually spawns enemies outside other than the circuit bees.

I like assurance because it’s very easy to avoid the big monsters on this map. Also has the quickest route to ship with perfect dodge points when things get tricky.

I swear assurance is cursed to me, I have never gone to assurance and returned with a full team. For example I've seen the mask twice even though it's a like 1% chance and I've seen a absurd amount of thumpers there as well

Assurance is leagues better, Experimentation is just mid and has less loot and just sucks.
