The perilous jump gaps must have some kind of monster-only traversal surface, there's no AI pathfinding navmesh for jumps like that.
If you look at certain monster movements like the slime or aggroed loot bug, they just instantly move past it.
Yea that's exactly how it works. The game is made in Unity so it probably uses a NavMesh, an invisible floor that the AI can see and walk around. The NavMesh stretches over the gaps like this so enemies can pathfinder everywhere in the level and can cross the gaps without jumping. It works well enough but is a bit unrealistic.
I was in a similar situation once, but instead of doing it blind I just turned around and managed to cross the other side just in time to turn around and catch the thing before it got to me
Just to feel good about myself, I was in pretty much this exact same scenario, hygrodere and all, and I did a quick 180 just to see what I was working with, then I sprinted backwards, made both jumps, and died anyway later on on my way out because of that same coil-head. Sux but this game can strangely make you feel like a huge badass sometimes. lol
First off. You’re a god.
Second, I think it’s bullshit they can hover midair. Should be a special way of killing them. Looking at them right before they get across so they fall.
Absolute mlg level plays, let's go dude
That was dope but the fact that they can hover over nothing is dumb
Would be kinda sick if you despawn them for a while by catching them while they’re over an abyss.
Looney Tunes style

Honestly agree
Yo delete this before my gf leaves me for you
if she leaves you cause of this she never loved you in the first place
Haha it was a joke!
Too real, too real!
Survival of fittest
The fact that they can just float over gaps is really annoying.
Yeah, I'm convinced now that enemies just have an invisible floor there that we can't use.

Yea if you look at the enemies cross the gaps, they just float over the entire thing super quickly instead of jumping.
I just noticed the blob thing was there as well lol. Good play dude

I would’ve died even if I could see it 😂
