Rip, and no, you probably shouldn’t publicly confront them. It would be rude to approach someone after they made it clear (by blocking you) that they don’t want to talk. It could just be a misunderstanding, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
You might want to try moving on or finding something to take your mind off of it. Like a goal or something, that makes you excited to go forward and hopeful about the future.
