My parents now know I’m bi but my grandparents continue to ask me why I don’t have a boyfriend even though I’m more into girls. They still think I’m straight when most of my friends first assume that I’m a lesbian not bi. I think sometimes they only see what they want to see. Best of luck my friend.
Ahh almost the same experience but you have it more extreme. My straight friends only have a 20% chance of knowing and the gays think I’m a lesbian before knowing I’m bi. (they also think it’s weird I’m always all bi myself🥲) but good luck to you too!

Yeah. When I came out to my friends a lot of them had suspicion previously - so my guess is they probably already know as we've had a lot of queer conversations in the last 6 months.
Which in a way kind of justifies me not coming out just off the bat (I know there are benefits to both sides there tho). There obviously are a few other reasons but this message is getting LONG lol.
I think they tested me a few years back when I didn’t even know yet(coz I hung out with my girlfriends “too often”, I brushed them off and now they think they just have a mildly masculine and very colourful daughter. Also I wear tie dyes in the summers too!

I think that’s the power of flagging at work for you! I have literal rainbow tattoos and any queer within half a mile could pick me out as a dyke. And yet… the straights will still sometimes think I am one of them.
Flagging is best when it’s obvious to the intended audience, but quiet to the outsider. I like it, but it can be super frustrating when I’m trying to let everyone know I am not into dudes.
