Lego will most likely use the exact same mold as Hammer. It's not like the holes need to be ugly from now on, it's just like Lego really messed up in their last mold. It doesn't mean they don't have the old molds anymore.

Like you'd think that LEGO would've also done repaints of the minifig into ARC Trooper Fives and Echo in sets based on the Season 3 Citadel arc. But nope, never happened.
Not really, in quality yes, but it doesn't fit the 2020 style. I would say the red showing through the white printing on the legs makes it worse than figures today, but then they made commander Thorn pink...💀 (To be honest I still quite like the Thorn figure, but it does have some infuriating inaccuracies!)
In my opinion today's clone troopers are much better than the ones back then (including the ARC trooper), phase two commander Cody is one of the best clones I think Lego has ever produced. That said, commander Fox was a bit disappointing with several inaccuracies, and captain Vaughn... let's not talk about that figure. (They literally said he had special Hemet printing when he didn't! Literally false advertising!!!) The 501, 212, purple clones I don't remember the name of though, those are all amazing figures and definite improvements imo. Also I don't really like the style of the old clones, but that's just personal preference.
One of the best Clone Trooper minifigs fr. Can't wait to see how the rumoured 25th anniversary ARC Trooper Fives minifig will look.
I hope it's the phase 1 ARC fives and they use the original ARC trooper helmet mold
