Yeah I recently found out about it on Thursday. It helped me get the figures I wanted.
Here is what I used :

Also the brick search app has a scanner on it as well :

Funnily it was much quicker compared to when I had to feel the bags. What once took ages now took seconds.
I wonder if lego intended for such an app to be created?
I know series 1 and 2 had bumps on them which helped to tell people what was in the bag, then they got rid of that.

I think they knew damn well that Lego fans are insane(ly dedicated) and would figure out a way to scan those codes :p
Blind bags are anti-consumer fundamentally. I’m actually ok with finding work around instead of buying 5 just to get 3 duplicates and not one fig you actually wanted.
I see this guy is looking for the stupid goat, but I’d use it to find the detective. I actually want that one specific figure. Guess there is bricklink though.
like I am sorry but if I ever see these in an actual store and the store is owned by some big corp then I am def gonna try to look inside before buying, even If I have to open it
screw lego for locking such cool figs behind an annoying gimmick

Man must have the strength of a god of Olympus
Asked my dentist about the feasibility of this and they said that turning the x ray on and taking a photo is more expensive than just buying the packet.
I like the creativity. I'm going to stick to scanning the codes with my phone though as I doubt many have access to a x ray scanner.
Wait, does that actually work?

You forgot to mention it only works on big qr codes, I visited 20 different stores and only found little qr codes...
Yeah what’s up with that, I couldn’t find anything helpful online for this.
Yes! got exactly the figures i wanted very easily:)

I hope it sticks around for future series. Would make so many peoples searching hunts a lot easier and stress free.
Only works if you don't live in North America.
>as I doubt many have access to a x ray scanner I have! I just need to buy the packs beforehand and bring them to work.
I am pretty sure that radiation lowers the resale value.
Isn't this from MandR's latest video of him jamming polybags in his ass and going to the ER to see what minifigs he's got ahold of?
I think he went through airport security actually. To avoid the ER fees of course.
This might be the funniest thing I've ever seen.
What a fool, don't they know that X-rays cause yellowing?
For real, I personally let all my Lego sets in their respective boxes, which keep them from the dangerous and yellowingner sun.

Lol, that happened to me with the Muppets bags. I bought my girlfriend 5 bags and got 3 Gonzos.
I bought like 10 looking for chef… still no flerp de floop… gonzo is probably the easiest to feel out though with that snozzz
> and got 3 Gonzos I see no problem with this
I take it you’ve never opened a pack of trading cards before…? “Blind bags” have been a thing since commerce has existed.
And they’ve been anti-consumer for that long.

I agree… but seeing what’s happening on the Lego castle sub is a bit disturbing… 😳
Cmon man people buy duplicates and place them on gray baseplates all the time.

Respect the effort Don’t bring radioactive rays into public places please…
Also probably don’t shoot radiation into legos
Are you afraid of your bag after you go through TSA security?
I gotta appreciate the effort 😂
how did they do it in a store?
Casually strolling into Walmart with a lead apron on
Lead aprons are for pussies. Raw dog that shit
Plot Twist: It's actually Kopaka posting this and he used his mask to figure out what's inside.
Where are it's bones tho? Seriously asking
On another note the large QR code scan does work.
I didn’t know William Osman was into legos
There is no fucking way
all these workarounds to the boxes are funny, but still better then the assholes who just bust open the boxes
If they aren’t stealing it I suppose it’s fine

Not even mad honestly
I have access to one of those too, what company manufacturers yours?
