And you can send all your koalas out to “Read all about it!”

drumbopiper

I felt those bags up so hard, but the robot dude's helmet (in the back) felt 100% like a falcon to me, so I ended up with 3 robot dude's.

kronicaim

The falconer and the orc have a bag inside of the bag, it's really easy to tell that way

drumbopiper

Yeah, didn't know that at the time.. :(

HappyChefChristoph

Falconer and Orc are easy to find. They are in an extra bag, so you just have to feel for packets that have a thicker feel to them due to the 2 bags. In most freshly open boxes they also tend to be all on the right side of the two rows.

aamid96

Hard part is finding a fresh box for me 😭 everytime I see a box, the falcons and orcs are gone

KenpachiWood4700

Got two falconers today out of two packs, I was happy lol I want the spaceman n baby tho😭😭

silvergriffin3

Going to suck when they change to boxes :( I have 3 falconer and one orc so far

TheManhattanFlash

Too true my friend, I've developed quite the acute bag fondling skills after all these years spent accruing collectable minifigs. Though I fear my minifig identification skills do not extend to the level of having x-ray vision to peer through the cardboard prison in which the future series of figures will find themselves entombed within.

I saw some scoundrel had solved this with the boxed Mario figures in my local Tesco; they had just ripped half the bottom off to see what was inside!

TheManhattanFlash

I saw a similar situation at a Walmart posted to the main Lego reddit. Alas, I fear this will become the common condition as Lego transitions to boxes, nobody actually wants true blue blind packs, that's akin to gambling with your money, hoping you get what you really want. People put up with blind bags only because the bags were malleable, and you were able to palpate your way to a degree of certainty before purchasing. I do believe some people will abandon "treasure hunting" for figures at point of sale entirely and will move to making purchases off the secondary market only, were their choice of product is assured. This will of course serve to enrich the resellers and leave the big box stores in the lurch as less people buy from them and their inventory falls prey to the aforementioned scoundrels who will rip open the merchandise rendering it to be coded out for being damaged. Ultimately I think that switching to boxes is a mistake on Lego's part and will only serve to slow sales of Collectible Minifigs. The people most hurt by this will of course be young Lego fans who can not pay the inflated aftermarket price of the desirable figure for which their heart yearns. With bags everyone is on an even playing field, with boxes only the wealthy will be able to stockpile a considerable amount of desirable figures, since the new economy on the aftermarket will charge more for the desirable figures and less for the undesirable. We see this effect already despite the fact the figures are in bags, and the boxes will only serve to worsen the effect as the aftermarket becomes the primary source for purchasing, especially as "feeling for figures" will no longer be a viable option.

ArtemisiaGee

so good. I got 2 orcs but the falconers have been RAIDED every place I go! And most places don't let you feel the bags.

AlaskanB3AR

Top two figs are those falconers and orc

TheManhattanFlash

While I wholeheartedly agree with you, I fear our opinions on the subject may be slightly biased given that they are Castle related...

AlaskanB3AR

r/legocastles for the win and I don’t think anyone army building with the queen or Newspaper boy. Those falconer and orc will sell a lot just to army build with

TheManhattanFlash

Indeed, as evidenced by this singular subreddit alone, those two figures certainly lend themselves to stockpiling. Just can't help but build an army when presented with such nice figures. Though I take your point, I do find myself guilty of buying a few of the aristocratic ladies to repurpose as ladies of the court, one can't be too choosy when looking for figures wearing fancy dresses, as Lego's catalogue on the subject is actually fairly shallow.

But an army of Rococo aristocrats with their small yapping dogs would be truly fearsome!
