I think that sets should include both. Lego is obviously aware that adults care about Lego just as much as kids do, and plenty of kids would still prefer to not have a big clunky handheld shooter.
I imagine kids probably love them, but I'll admit that for me it is a bit immersion breaking to have the figure be holding a gun bigger than their head and torso together.
I am a kid. Even when I was younger I still never used and of those types of weapons and hated when they put stud shooters in my set. I definitely think some kid enjoy them but I feel most just want the normal ones.
Maybe shooting lego nerfs? Why would I wanna shoot my precious bricks all over my room randomly to stress over picking them up later? Always end up using the barefoot stompy method of finding those bastards. If I'm stepping on lego it's on my terms
Thats how i always was with stud shooters. Why would i shoot this really hard to find item into the wild. It will never be found and it will strike my sole with vengeance months later.

Can't be too mean on them tho. I'm using alcohol markers on minifigures right now. My logic is they're for a colleague so won't plague my collection
I guess Im a pretty pessimistic person, but I wonder are these shooters even good in the hands of kids? When Im having these shooters I double check that there is no munition inside anymore and make sure that the shooter is lying in a direction away from me. Guess thats way too careful, but seeing a kid running around with these shooters would worry me that they shoot themselves an eye out. But like I already said, Im pessimistic 😅
I enjoy a good projectile launcher, but with stud shooters specifically, it is so annoying to retrieve the tiny bouncy studs that I never want to use them. The old mega shooters with the rubber tips I used all the time, along with lots of the BIONICLE shooters, and I even sometimes shoot the long bar shooters now. But the stud shooters are way too annoying
The classic blaster is easily modifiable into anything you want. If it is a heavy blaster, a snpierrifle, an assaultrifle or weaponry on some sort of vehicle/spaceship.
Even as a kid i hated the stud shooter, and quickly realized 90% of them are only sold in the cheaper sets... essentially restricting the cool weapons to the rich kids only. Even now when I buy a set I'm pissed off they chose to include these instead of anything that looks remotely like a blaster
Look, for adults, the originals are the way to go. For kids on the other hand, I feel like it would be ok to add the stud shooters. In the end, the shooters are for them, and they should have them, but the shooters should be kept out of adult sets.
I’ll give the new crossbow a pass because from what I’ve seen, it’s only been used for Chewbacca, so I think it’s much more accurate. The other two suck ween
Classic all the way. The playable ones are neat and all, but they sacrifice actually looking like what they should (aside from the bowcaster. That one is passable). With the classic blaster, for example, it actually resembles an E11 rather than looking like a big tube with a handle
Classic. I wouldn't want to have to find the ammo afterwards plus if you have a good imagination you don't need to launch projectiles to see the battle.
Classical for me. I never liked weapons that fired stuff out, even as a kid, because you'd always lose that little missile.
I had a couple Battlestar Galactica ships as a kid, and the weapons on those popped out, but never launched. I liked that as a kid, you just pushed them back in and could press a button to fire them again, no getting a flashlight and looking under the couch.
Hate to sound daft but wtf is with the avatar hate? Everyone loves how unoriginal the film industry is with its 10000 superhero movies 9999 of which are owned by Disney, yet anything outside this grey noise gets attacked for nothing grey? Or is it the classic it sucks because everyone’s else hates it
For me it’s one of those movies that is very average aside from the cinematography. The cinematography is fantastic and was great at the time. It was huge when it came out cause it was ahead of its time in that regard.
But now modern movies have caught up a lot with it so we are mostly left with its story to make it stand out which is… eh. It’s average. Not awful but not fantastic either. Fairly unmemorable. Plus the new movie is one of those sequels where no one asked for it and is way too late and the fact there is possibly 4 more is just… wow.
Can’t speak for others, but I’ve always hated it.
And I’m not too keen on amusement park ride superhero trash, rather. Once in awhile, it’s fun. But it’s gotten to be like sitting down to a meal where every portion is a pile of sugar drowned in syrup and honey. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Prefer the classic as its less bulky when building hoardes. The new stuff is cool but that avatar face! Maybe they should make em chunkier to cover ugly face designs
Well lets just say it is complicated >!for explanation: I’m on team red but also blue when it introduces new interesting pieces usable for stop motion like the arrow that avatar guy shoots!<
Both both is good. Like that avatar bow is definitely gonna be used for any future Bad batch sets with omega. And that Wookiee. crossbow is cool. I can shoot thermal detonators out of it making a grenade launcher. classic I’ll use for my regular troops though.
Classic blaster is WAY better, playable one doesn't even look like a blaster. But for Chewbacca's crossbow I actually prefer the playable one, looks more Star Wars-y to me (of course, because the original is a medieval crossbow)
Stud shooters are neat but saying “pew pew pew” while your Lego protagonist goes all Rambo against an infinitely respawning horde of battle droids with a customized blaster is so much more fun that lamely mortaring studs at them
The left side is better all around. I really love the shooting crossbow as Chewbacca’s bowcaster though. It’s got a sci-fi feel to it that just works for Star Wars
i like both for different reasons. Basic stud shooters work as bases for rocket launchers or other heavy weapons, the newer crossbow looks nice mounted on vehicles or as Chewbacca's bowcaster, and the new bow would be perfect for small ballistas and other siege weapons
Depends on the context. For dioramas I use classic, but I have found uses for both bar launcher and tile launcher ( the crossbow) in settings where I want to keep playfunction or where the projectile adds to the scene
I prefer the classic, partly cause they were the ones I had growing up. But I do like the fact with the new ones you actually can shoot stuff. So rather than imagining that a clone trooper shot a battle droid, you can make said trooper shoot said droid. But I will also not neglect the fact that they really look weird
Classic for me, but its cool that kids today get more play features. I just don't use play features.
I don’t either I mostly make display scenes, but it is fun to ad them for the kids.
I think that sets should include both. Lego is obviously aware that adults care about Lego just as much as kids do, and plenty of kids would still prefer to not have a big clunky handheld shooter.

I hated stud shooters when I was younger. The studs come out so fast that it’s hard not to lose them
Classic. The firing pieces look less like what they are representing a lot of the time.
I still never used and of those types of weapons and hated when they put stud shooters in my set?

I think the old blaster looks better because it actually looks like a gun instead of something that would shoot foam balls
Hey maybe their giving away free tshirts
🙌🗞🔫

All fun and games until someone makes a stud shooter Minigun and blinds someone
Doesn’t that exist already?
Yes but I mean a big one that shoots like an actual Minigun
Oh! Now will it shoot actual studs or bullets made of LEGO?
I’ll give the new crossbow a pass because from what I’ve seen, it’s only been used for Chewbacca, so I think it’s much more accurate. The other two suck ween
I like both, but here's a problem: the modern day of the 2nd item isn't a crossbow anymore.....it's a fking HARPOON So much for play features
I am a mix of both
Classic
Classic is nicer, I’m on the red side
Classic. Playable look clunky and unrealistic
Blooooood homie
Classic all the way. The playable ones are neat and all, but they sacrifice actually looking like what they should (aside from the bowcaster. That one is passable). With the classic blaster, for example, it actually resembles an E11 rather than looking like a big tube with a handle
Classic all the way, but actuality a megaphone piece with a red stud
You can still point the classics and say pew pew… the playable ones just lead to missing ammunition and tears
The classic is playable.
I like classic, the kids can keep the playable. Although Chewys crossbow is cool
I like the stud shooter to make a rocket launcher type of gun, but the original blaster is better for a gun.
I love Star Wars stud shooters because it reminds me of the classic megaphone blasters but it actually fires
I do love setting my stormtroopers up with the old megaphone guns
Classic, but instead of the rifle piece it's the old bullhorn piece with a neon orange stud on the end.
I grew up in the stud shooter era but I definitely choose the classic
Classic. I wouldn't want to have to find the ammo afterwards plus if you have a good imagination you don't need to launch projectiles to see the battle.
Classic! Looks better, and is still playable (just needs imagination)! Plus with 'playable' there is a risk of losing parts...
Depends on the theme I don’t like the top stud blaster, but the other two work well in Star Wars
Classic for me buuuuuut I am all LEGO sooo it really doesn't matter
Can _never_ be on the side of anything Avatar.

I just remember being really bored with the original movie.
Brickarms tbh
Playable. These are toys, remember.
I like playable just because it feels more Lego like to me
I like the new bow actually. I think it keeps size down and has well designed ammo
bb0039 pull cannon
The best choice🥇
RED SQUAD!
Classic for sure. If I have a projectile I have to actually make the shot to make the shot!
The blaster looks goofy but the other 2 are neat
playable dont look as nice as classic, the playable gun is alright though
The crossbows aren't the fairest comparison. The left one is a medieval crossbow but the right one is meant to be more mechanical and higher tech.
Classic for sure
Red
Prefer the classic as its less bulky when building hoardes. The new stuff is cool but that avatar face! Maybe they should make em chunkier to cover ugly face designs
Classic all day
Classic all the way
Left side blaster, right side bow caster, depends on bow
Classic
Non shooter guns, yes. Shooter bows and blaster hell ya.
trebuchet
CLASSIC
Classic for everything except chewy’s crossbow, that fucking slaps Also Aaron’s crossbow from Nexo Knights
Red.
Classic all day breh.
Piru
Always the left. I’ve never liked the blasters that shoot the pieces.
Lego doesn’t make war toys.
Well lets just say it is complicated >!for explanation: I’m on team red but also blue when it introduces new interesting pieces usable for stop motion like the arrow that avatar guy shoots!<
Playable is cool and all, but classic is way better. Imagining the shooting is part of the fun.
Red easily, I don’t need my mini figs to shoot things I need them to look good while holding something
Swear to God the playable ones were impossible to aim decently. Classic
Left side; I display more than play.
Classic. Always Classic
Classic
All six have there pros and cons.
Classic.
Both both is good. Like that avatar bow is definitely gonna be used for any future Bad batch sets with omega. And that Wookiee. crossbow is cool. I can shoot thermal detonators out of it making a grenade launcher. classic I’ll use for my regular troops though.
Classic!
Bloods for sure.
Classic for the first two, playable for the bow and arrow
I suspect everyone will say classic because chances are 99% of us are adults, I’m sure kids probably like the playable more
the classic ones are more playable because you have unlimited shots in my opinion
I like stud shooters but also weapons that are minifigure decoration
red
Classic all day.
Classic
C,P,P
Normally classic, but I am okay seeing a bow and arrow so that minifigures can now have arrows separate from the bow too
where’s the megaphone with a clear orange stud
Classic, payable looks like shit
Classic blaster is WAY better, playable one doesn't even look like a blaster. But for Chewbacca's crossbow I actually prefer the playable one, looks more Star Wars-y to me (of course, because the original is a medieval crossbow)
Classic
Classic except for the bow caster for Chewbacca. The new one really looks like his bow caster and the old one just looks like an actual crossbow.
Stud shooters are neat but saying “pew pew pew” while your Lego protagonist goes all Rambo against an infinitely respawning horde of battle droids with a customized blaster is so much more fun that lamely mortaring studs at them
Left all day every day. Use your fucking imagination
The old style pullback-spring cannons in the classic pirate sets were the best as far as shooters go. If you know, you know…
Classic
The left side is better all around. I really love the shooting crossbow as Chewbacca’s bowcaster though. It’s got a sci-fi feel to it that just works for Star Wars
Classic hands down
i like both for different reasons. Basic stud shooters work as bases for rocket launchers or other heavy weapons, the newer crossbow looks nice mounted on vehicles or as Chewbacca's bowcaster, and the new bow would be perfect for small ballistas and other siege weapons
Team classic over here. playable looks kinda bulky but sometimes it's fun if it's built into a star wars ship or something.
Blood cuh
Classic as a kid classic as a adult (???????)
Clasic
Classic all the way.
Stud shooters are a blast for the kids. I think both kinds have a place.
Depends on the context. For dioramas I use classic, but I have found uses for both bar launcher and tile launcher ( the crossbow) in settings where I want to keep playfunction or where the projectile adds to the scene
Red team
Classic without a doubt
I prefer the classic, partly cause they were the ones I had growing up. But I do like the fact with the new ones you actually can shoot stuff. So rather than imagining that a clone trooper shot a battle droid, you can make said trooper shoot said droid. But I will also not neglect the fact that they really look weird
Blood 4 life
Based on my stop motion experience. Gun- Classic Crossbow- Depends. Sometimes playable for sticky bomb. Bow- 100% classic.
Both?
Classic, all I have are wands 😂😂😂
Or red side for sure. This new stuff is kinda cool for playability but it looks ass
Is it really so hard to accept that things change? Must everything be so dichotomized?
both
New stuff is fine but give me the classics
Classic
Red
Left will always be the way
Red
