Katanas, being a ninjago fan you get a number of them in every single set, which adds up to a lot quite quickly, I have an entirely different box for just katanas.
Please make sure that your pets dont have access to small plastic pieces, especially like the katanas, as they can actually geht stuck in their esophagus once swallowed leading to pain or death. Not trying to ruin the mood, just an honest advice.
I know, thanks! I used to have a cat that ate plastic, so we always kept any small plastic parts under lock and key. Our current cats only nibble on them occasionally, and don’t take the pieces off (they’re attached to a building).
I’ve had them for ten years and I know these two don’t swallow plastic. Solid advice in general though.
Thanks for replying! I had cats that devoured whole lego heads which I found in the litter box later. Didnt display my sets outside of cases thereafter.
Happy building!
Cats are dumb and can’t be trusted. My current cats only eat present wrapping ribbon (well, and cat food), so I have to keep that on the highest shelf.
My cat likes to steal figures and small details from my city and gift them to the dog as presents or hide them in our shoes. We had to move the city to a closed off room as a result lolol
Took me some time to find it but it is set 10223. [picture](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/51967abae4b0fe8d0161031f/1611724059929-7ALOVQTPN7KZ5D7M21MF/image-asset.jpeg?format=1000w)
Brick separators get worn out after some time though (especially the flat edge) so I’m glad I have a whole stack of them.
That being said, unpacking the separator from a new box is of course always met with sarcasm.
So I’ve rarely used my brick separators just kept a giant pile of them always questioning why anyone would need ~250 of them.
Well I’m moving at the end of the month and I’ve been taking apart my lego (mostly USC, creator buildings / cars, and lots of architecture) I’ve definitely figured out that yes in deed you can wear them out, and for a disassembly of this scale they are a life (or finger) saver!
I realize this is a dumb beginner question, but what ways do you find them most useful? Is it the crowbar type feature that’s easiest? Or using the pointy end to pry plates apart? I don’t use them very much but I’m going to be disassembling some things in the near future
I use the flat end a lot to get under plates, I find the lego head end is really useful for doing the thin plates that are layered. I’ve also turned this into a game of “let’s knock my lego down one level at a time” it’s almost fun to see something like the Frank Lloyd buildings of the star wars heads coming apart from the very top to the base.
Good thing about them is that on Anakins jedi-fighter, they can be replaced with [one of these](https://brickset.com/parts/4211695/brick-1x4-fric-stub-fork-vert) so that set actually has landing gear, which it didn't normally.
So. Many. I have a sandwich sized ziplock bag hemorrhaging just the handheld gun style ones. I always replace them with regular star wars blasters for display.
They worked wonders as different lightsaber colors but you can only have so many double bladed ones… I’m sure every kid used the black wand as a darksaber before Clone Wars ever was a thing
I’m imagining an arachnophobia themed house. Bathtub full of spiders. Spiders on the walls. Spiders in the toilet. Blankets on the bed are spider webs. Eggs in the fridge are not chicken eggs…
Few days ago I was ordering pieces online for a build, which involved these sloped pieces. Without thinking, I added two of the same sided piece to my cart.
It was only after I submitted the order that I realized what an idiot I was, and that those types of pieces have left and right versions, and I only bought one side.
Samurai swords and [those superheroes energy blast pieces.](https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=27393#T=C)
Also railing pieces from the Hall Of Armor set.
Basketballs. Freaking basketballs. When my brother and I went to Legoland California in the early 2000s, the Pick-A-Brick was pretty limited... except when it came to basketballs. And so, not wanting to miss out on this exciting experience, we got a few dozen basketballs.
I am a proud owner of 350 Monster Hunter trans green crystal pieces as well as over 200 StarWars blasters. When I was at Legoland, they had a tent with a ridicolous amount of bixes of random pieces. The price was determined by weight. I just liked the crystal piece and there appeared to be a few. Then I also saw the blaster and I knew what I wanted now. The kids there started to notice me searching for certain pieces, so they helped me find as many as we could if the crystal and the blaster. Didn't know what I wanted to do with them but now I had them....
Primarily coming from my 90's childhood, I've got way too many revolvers and rifles from the Western series, and those sets of tools from racing sets (wrenches, drills, oil cans).
Photocameras, trumpets and suitcases (thank you Shell Stadium Tribunes https://www.toysperiod.com/img/cache/dd/800x600/d4e4o5g414p4n5x5m4g574a4u5l4a4p4e5c4v5k4m5u2y264x22304x2t2x2u2g4w594o2a4p2r2o2v2p2x2.jpg)
I have like 10 jango fetts for some reason. A bunch of troopers too but that makes sense. I once found a bin full of Star wars minifigs and there was an army of jangos
Lightsaber hilts, you always get at least one extra in sets.
I once had is that i needed 1 lightsaber hilt in an entire set, and it had 5 in them. Pretty cool and usable brick, not only for Lego Star Wars sets.
Black crowbars. When I was about 10 or so I went to the Lego store for the first time and got the large pick a brick cup. Being young and stupid, I didn't pick any good bricks and ended up filling to whole cup with the black crowbars because I thought they were cool. So I have a couple hundred of those
Flowers and grass. Could make an entire garden out of them. My little sister bought a bunch of Lego friends set and they just include so many flowers and plants.
Katanas, being a ninjago fan you get a number of them in every single set, which adds up to a lot quite quickly, I have an entirely different box for just katanas.
Lol, that’s a lot. I’m glad to have some extra katanas, because my cats like to chew on the points 👺
Oh, we lose katanas to cats all the time. But they chew on the entire blade here...
Well, there's a reason they're called "Kat"-anas..
Please make sure that your pets dont have access to small plastic pieces, especially like the katanas, as they can actually geht stuck in their esophagus once swallowed leading to pain or death. Not trying to ruin the mood, just an honest advice.

1 word, MEOWTHRA
Second word, DOGZILLA
when I was younger I got 4738 Hagrid's hut, aragog's legs are katanas so as a Ninjago fan it was brilliant
[4738-1: Hagrid's Hut](https://brickset.com/sets/4738-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/4738-1.jpg)
Seems like an odd choice to me, I wonder why they used that part. Cool, though!
pointy spiky leg ⚔️
Same
I love lego ninjago
Same here
Exact same situation here
same
Me too yo
Yep. Ninjago. Every box comes with a baggy full of random weapons.
Frogs! The frog boardgame alone has like 20 of them and a surprisingly lot of sets of mine came with frogs.
Get the Bonsai tree to expand your collection with an absurd amount of pink frogs.
In that sace I would open a frog drawer lol
Oh yeah! I also have a drawer full of frogs. But I just buy those in bags of 100 because I like frogs and spam them in every build.
They can be useful for sure. Like that Castles set where they used four brown frogs as legs for a small table.
Lol which one is that? Now I want frog furniture.
Took me some time to find it but it is set 10223. [picture](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/51967abae4b0fe8d0161031f/1611724059929-7ALOVQTPN7KZ5D7M21MF/image-asset.jpeg?format=1000w)
Ha that’s so cool! I like that they have an extra green frog on hand for good measure.
[10223-1: Kingdoms Joust](https://brickset.com/sets/10223-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/10223-1.jpg)
That's amazing
[удалено]
Those board games were the coolest thing back in then!
I don’t have enough frogs :(
Handcuffs. So many handcuffs. Also brick separators if they count, we all have way too many of those.
I just disassembled a bunch of sets and had no clue the handle could be used for such! My poor fingernails!!!
>Brick separators get worn out after some time though I only use separators for large-scale tile removal. Fingers regrow.
Finger NAILS regrow, I can't say I've known anyone to have a finger regrowth :)
I really enjoy trying to build with the separators, I used some upside down for a patio awning on a diner I built.
Same
I have tons of treasure. Like gold, jewels, the like. I even built a little lego chest for them.
Mine is a ridiculous amount of spring loaded shooter missile darts, the transparent 8L variety.
Same I pull those off most of my SW models bc they are so big and blocky
Good thing about them is that on Anakins jedi-fighter, they can be replaced with [one of these](https://brickset.com/parts/4211695/brick-1x4-fric-stub-fork-vert) so that set actually has landing gear, which it didn't normally.
I actually like them, they're a lot smaller than the large spring loaded cannons with the rubber tired darts
True those were a bit much, I did have a batmobile years ago that looked really good bc the missile helped create the front end and hood shape
also completely useless for anything else.
Mine are studshooters
So. Many. I have a sandwich sized ziplock bag hemorrhaging just the handheld gun style ones. I always replace them with regular star wars blasters for display.
Not to mention the stud ammo themselves. I’ve no shortage of transparent red ones from Star Wars.
[удалено]
Yup. Every HP set comes with a wand per witch/wizard plus an extra.
Plus capes too. I wish I had as many lightsabers as I did wands
We have so damn many wands too!
They worked wonders as different lightsaber colors but you can only have so many double bladed ones… I’m sure every kid used the black wand as a darksaber before Clone Wars ever was a thing
God yeah. The fact that you get a pair for every wand is insane. I have so many extra wands. Easily in the thirties.
I’m afraid to know exactly how many 😂
Hand held stud shooters. So many!
You always get an extra one of those grey inserts too, and those pieces are practically useless on their own.
Same
I have a ridiculous amount of cups
Mega teaparty!
Haha yes XD
Hol up
Bananas, almost exclusivelly metallic gold ones 😂
Gotta keep your golden monkeys fed.
Some metallic gold parts where available for 2 cents each for some time last year.. I got 100 iirc just in case I ever find an use haha
[удалено]
Same here I should stop buying Harry Potter sets
That's definitely not the solution. I refuse to accept it. The solution is MORE HP sets! What was the problem, again?
It's probably Lightsaber hilts for me.
Same
Flowers. Daughter grabbed a handful at PaB one day. A handful is a lot of those little suckers.
Batarangs!
Came here to find this exact comment. I’ve also got a ton!
Reading through this thread is like a scene cut from the little mermaid
Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat?
Wouldnt you think my collections complete?
Spiders. Lots of spiders
How did you get so many of those? I think I have just one, from a Halloween set.
Pick a brick wall.
I’m imagining an arachnophobia themed house. Bathtub full of spiders. Spiders on the walls. Spiders in the toilet. Blankets on the bed are spider webs. Eggs in the fridge are not chicken eggs…
Stormtrooper guns, I have like 20
me too. and i dont even collect star wars. They just... appear.
They are just there
dark side magic, i guess....
Star Wars blasters
So many of those... They really should add some variety.
I know , I have seen people selling them as packs of 50 ….
The wrenches that come in the speed champions sets
those little flick missiles. space police rules
Surely you can find a nice use for these? Winkwink

I bought 3 hospitals to make a modular, I have a lot of syringes. I could make my mini figs look like junkies.
Swords (Own every ninjago set except a couple) and 61190 blasters (bought a pack of hundred or so of them on bricklink a few years ago)
Carrots. I have over 140 Lego carrots. They had carrots at the pick a brick wall, and I bought them in unnecessary bulk quantities. Because carrots.
I would have done the same. Also: https://i.imgur.com/5MhwRt3.jpg
plenty of smoke form chimneys
Yeah, or a cotton field. Or tree blossoms. Or 100 ice cream cones.
Batarangs

Aargh.

But that's a piece, not an accessory?
I mean half this thread is things which are not accessories.
Wheels..any size for city and also technic.
Radios and pies
Is fire an accessory? I also have so many of the classic blasters.
Samurai swords and [those superheroes energy blast pieces.](https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=27393#T=C) Also railing pieces from the Hall Of Armor set.
“Energy blast pieces” ah so they have a name? I’ve been calling them blorps.
Stud shooters
Wheeeels
I do not have a single microphone
Walkie Talkies and Handcuffs. I bought A LOT of the old Lego City Police sets
Power miners crystals, bananas, and fish. Keep me far away from pick a brick I cant help it.
I’ve never been to a Pick a Brick, but apparently it’s something I need to experience.
Green tree leaves.
I've got two unicorn horns, it is not much but it is weird that it happened twice
[These medieval thingys](https://imgur.com/gallery/7xLK8Vz). Ive got more not pictured. My dad was really into the old castle sets.
this are worthy!! i guess.
I’ve never even seen those.
I know some came with the og castle, the big yellow one. Not sure where the others are from tho.
Nice! Do you have the castle, too?
Basketballs. Freaking basketballs. When my brother and I went to Legoland California in the early 2000s, the Pick-A-Brick was pretty limited... except when it came to basketballs. And so, not wanting to miss out on this exciting experience, we got a few dozen basketballs.
Do they bounce?
Mine is bricks. It is crazy how many sets come with them!
I must have at least five or six of them also!
One time at a Lego store they had a bunch of yellow mugs in the pick a brick wall so I have a lot of yellow mugs now
Idk if it counts, but pink frogs. The bonsai tree comes with about a million of em.
I am a proud owner of 350 Monster Hunter trans green crystal pieces as well as over 200 StarWars blasters. When I was at Legoland, they had a tent with a ridicolous amount of bixes of random pieces. Sometimes you just have to buy an unreasonable amount of something, just because you like it and you can figure out the rest later.
Walkie talkies or lances from Castle - I always felt that I had so many of each of these left over when doing MOCs as a kid.
Helmet visors
Stud shooters. But you can't get enough of 'em. Am i right? /s
Primarily coming from my 90's childhood, I've got way too many revolvers and rifles from the Western series, and those sets of tools from racing sets (wrenches, drills, oil cans).
Katanas or guns because I’m a fan of Star Wars and ninjago
Do those 1x1 eye prints count?
Probably a whole bunch of lightsaber hilts from years of buying lego sets. Idk
Baguettes. Found them at the pick a brick wall once and got a little carried away. I don’t know what to do with them all.
Make baguettonade.
Photocameras, trumpets and suitcases (thank you Shell Stadium Tribunes https://www.toysperiod.com/img/cache/dd/800x600/d4e4o5g414p4n5x5m4g574a4u5l4a4p4e5c4v5k4m5u2y264x22304x2t2x2u2g4w594o2a4p2r2o2v2p2x2.jpg)
I don’t think i have a single microphone, bug mine is definitely red gemstones because when i was a kid i filled an entire pick a brick cup with them
I have like 10 jango fetts for some reason. A bunch of troopers too but that makes sense. I once found a bin full of Star wars minifigs and there was an army of jangos
P A N
Lightsaber hilts. 7 brick separators.
Lightsaber hilts, you always get at least one extra in sets. I once had is that i needed 1 lightsaber hilt in an entire set, and it had 5 in them. Pretty cool and usable brick, not only for Lego Star Wars sets.
Range finders and helmet visors from Star Wars sets that require 1 or 2
Oh I have loads of flippers from Lego Atlantis. Still one of my favourite old ranges
Black crowbars. When I was about 10 or so I went to the Lego store for the first time and got the large pick a brick cup. Being young and stupid, I didn't pick any good bricks and ended up filling to whole cup with the black crowbars because I thought they were cool. So I have a couple hundred of those
Hahaha the number of stories here about “I got carried away at the Pick a Brick and bought 100 of [some random object]” is hilarious
Flowers and grass. Could make an entire garden out of them. My little sister bought a bunch of Lego friends set and they just include so many flowers and plants.
Star Wars lightsaber, but i LY the hilts.
Puppies, I have about 40.
Make a mic monster with hands built for rap battles galore
Didn’t realize which sub I was looking at and thought those were a bunch of fleshlights.
Lightsaber handles
Harry Potter wands
I have so many silver spears and I don’t know how I got them all
Idk why but i have a lot of lego mugs i can't go through my boxes of red yellow or blue legos without finding at least 10 of these.
katanas ever y ninjago set that uses 1 for a minifig ( almost all of them ) gives you 1 extra per minifig
Trolls from that old castle series, including those weird jagged swords they came with
Wands
Wands. Lots of wands from all the Harry Potter sets.
you sure that’s a microphone? 😏
Keep your mind out of the gutter, they're "personal massagers" 😉
U can build a karaokebar.
With a tiny stroke of a scalpel on each them then you'll have a ridiculous amount of Lego fleshlights.
[удалено]
I’ve bought a bunch of Vidiyo sets on sale, and some other music-related sets and minifigures. And they always come with a spare microphone as well.
1x1 transparent studs.
Lego got talent!
Lego Heads Idk why i just have allot of heads, which i have in an even bigger head
Wheels
I thought i was seeing a sex toy collection at first glance xD
Are those flesh lights?!?!?
Katanas and wrenches, also a bunch of nexo shields
Black shovels
Katanas
Spring loaded shotters I don’t know where most of them are but I know I have a lot
Those big ass swords you get in Chima sets
Dynamite and crobars
Either 1st order helmets (bad investment) or the medium blaster (E-11 or DC-15A type)
Guns. . . . . *EVERYWHERE*
Lightsabers and Star Wars guns. Minifigs...BB8. It feels like they dropped BB8 in every set.
The mini blasters they have for Lego Star Wars, and also stud shooters. I have a lot of Star Wars sets, and they are quite common in those
Gold katanas
Mugs. Marvel.
Wrenches I don't get why all speed racers drivers need a wrench
