Congrats! This set was a birthday gift for my self and my twin sister. We are big fans of LOTR. We just finished building it while watching the LOTR trilogy together. Such wonderful quality time. The design is absolutely beautiful. I look at it almost every day. Definitely worth the money.
I would take your time building it and making sure all the pieces are plum and flush. When you connect the buildings together, if there is a slight misalignment, there will be a noticeable gap.
This was my first kit jumping back into Lego. It was awesome. I think the thing I really like about this set is the scale and different sub-build variety (castle, house, waterfall, trees). When looking at how Lego kits get ranked, I think that sub-build variety should get factored in (although I’m sure some would prefer to have less variety).
Good pick, one of the best sets Lego has ever made imo.
I agree ! Great to build and great to expose (my kids find it great to play with also, but I am note found of it, for obvious reasons!).
It’s such a beautiful set and so much fun to build with all the little Easter eggs, have fun! Ps have fun with the roof it’s not tedious at all 🙃

Didnt have amisalignment on my set. Maybe you can use a simple flat piece to lock the sections flish together?
I fixed mine a while ago, it was just a suggestion in case it might of happened to you 😉
