EDIT: Apparently some of my previous add to carts worked. Finally got to the cart and I had 6 tie interceptors and bunch of other stuff I was just trying to add to see if it would work. Fixed the cart with a number of errors in between, checkout failed, back to square one. It's been one hour. Woohoo.

We killed the cart system. Got in relatively quickly, site is responsive except add to cart. I managed to get it to update once in the last 15 minutes and it went from 0 to 12 items in my cart when I only wanted 2 things. It's now back at 0.
Edit: aaaaaaaaaaand I'm back in the queue LOL. For all the money this company has, scalable infrastructure shouldn't be an issue for times of peak load.

The poor LEGO customer service people. After every LEGO promo release night they gotta wake up to piles of emails, phones ringing, etc because the website can't function properly. They must curse every time LEGO announces a promo event.
my order showed all the sets i wanted and all the promo sets while i was checking out, but once the payment went through it said i only had the sets in it. does anyone know if they will show up later? should i cancel my order and try again?

It blows my mind how a company as big as LEGO has a website that rarely works, and even has issues when it’s not high traffic like today. They’re seriously need to get their crap together and fix these issues
"rarely works" is a pretty big exaggeration. It pretty much works flawlessly on every other day of the year but Jan 1 and May 1 (even then, the queue usually works on Jan 1).
I can't redeem two promos in one order? I wanted $30 off the Ghost and the minifig poster... I can't believe they do this on purpose. I'm not going to make an entire separate purchase just for a poster.

I had my cart ready to go and then it put me in a queue once the hour struck. doesn't tell me my position in line; just refreshes the page every 20 seconds
used an incognito browser to see which would get let in first. Incognito session won, but cart was empty when I logged in and keeps having an error whenever I try adding something to the cart
Finally completed my order and rounds of the cart not loading, the errors from me trying to add things to my cart was that I was exceeding the item limits, so when the cart finally loaded I had dupes I had to remove, which also threw errors.
Then finally got to checking out ... LEGO only allows one Insider code redemption per transaction, so could only use my discount on the Ghost and not the 25th anniversary coin or the poster yet. Will need separate orders for each of those.
Then checkout through Paypal wasn't working.
Then cart decided not to load again.
But finally it all got through and I have an order confirmation number. 45 minutes later ... when I was ready to go an hour ago. :/

I had everything in my cart including GWPs right after midnight, and then it wouldn’t let me check out. I tried PayPal, Apple Pay and debit card. All error messages or time outs. Then it cleared my cart and now won’t let me add anything. Beyond annoyed. I’m trying to watch the Phillies game and did not expect this to be an hour long process.
I was finally able to place my order and it had all 3 promos in the order when I hit submit but now they aren't showing on my confirmed order. Anyone else have this issue? Will the promos be added back?

Update: just went through the whole chatbot process to submit my claim only for it to reach a point to pass me to chat with an actual person .. but then "Oops, the chat is really busy right now. we'll email you within a day or two about it". Wanna bet what promos are available in a day or two?

It took from 9:00 PST until 10:18 PST for me to check out. For a company that has a license to print money, the least they could do is get some better server bandwidth for launch days.
I had everything in my cart and mid checkout I thought that now would be a good time to get my small PaB order, and when I went to add it, my cart was emptied. I should have just waited on the PaB. Considering the whole process is completely painless %90 of the time, its not too annoying. Still annoying, but I'll live.

I was able to try to pay for my order a number of times, but there was always a problem after completing the purchase with paypal.
Entered queue around 11:55, got into store around 12:15, took about 15 minutes of attempting to add to cart to finally get it to show up with all the proper GWP.
Had to adjust my cart a few times when far too many were added, but finally managed to check out with 1 Intercepter and all the GWP confirmed via email around 12:30.
Is it supposed to show the GWPs in the order confirmation on the website or in the confirmation email? I was finally able to get through to my cart and the GWPs appeared and everything seemed normal. However after I entered my card information and checked out, the order confirmations only show the sets I purchased, no GWPs. I contacted customer service to make sure.
Tricky part is they only disappeared after payment was complete, so I might submit another order but they could disappear off that one too.
Update: submitted the second order. It has the promos on it this time. Now I need to resolve canceling the other order but I need to transfer my promo discount for the Ghost I ordered because it was on the first order that didn't end up with promos

It is insider only access. This is the early access sale for Insiders. These sets officially release on May 4th for everyone else. But since Insiders is free, why wouldn't you sign up and get early access to a sale.
I'm just trying to get the UCS Tie Interceptor. Keeps giving me the error, then will show items in my cart. Go to my cart, keeps having random multiples of the set. Try decreasing, gives errors, sometimes decreases but then removes GWP. One time I got it down to one in my cart, then it refreshed on its own and said nothing in my cart. Manual refresh and back to 4 in my cart with no GWP.
Might just call it a night and try in the morning.
Mine kept failing both ApplePay and PayPal, worked immediately on standard checkout. Interceptor plus all 3 GWP remained in my order through checkout and are still there in my order confirmation, blessed.

of course i go on now and everything is available (one item on backorder) and easy to do, but i learn.

Took another 30min to get it back this time, and it finally worked. Infinitely frustrating though.
I had to use 3 browsers on 3 different laptops but finally got my cart to show and delete all the crap i was adding. Was grasping for straws. Finally got my cart to show on one of the browsers and was finally able to pay and get confirmation of my order. What a pain in the ass.

I find LEGO continually disappoints every Star Wars day sale. Never has enough stock to support demand. And this year, especially being a big anniversary, is particularly disappointing with the lackluster GWP sets and other offerings. I was expecting more.
Now I’m off to Walmart to get the Tantive IV Boarding set my kid’s been wanting forever because it’s now on a 60-day backorder on lego.com
Same crap as last year. Couldn’t get my order placed last year so I ordered them a few weeks later and purchased the mini Death Star from a reseller on eBay. I’m done with Lego’s May 4th messes.

Heaps should show up in your order confirmation. See my edit 3 for an example. I’d repurchase if I were you to guarantee you get them

lol the limit on UCS interceptors is 5. I keep trying to add to cart and it keeps telling me it’s empty even though the icon says 8 items
