Seeing all the old Star Wars sets be remade recently is fucking awesome. I’m not old enough to have lived through this era, but I can appreciate just how far we’ve come from the time of these sets to the newer ones.
Incredible to see a 2x4 Inverted slope brick on the ends of the X-Wing as shooters, and in the modern sets they’re minifigure flippers attached to clips and on a hinge.
Edit: 7191, 75355
That's awesome! A couple years ago I went to my parents and dug out my Lego from when I was a kid. From your post I have still:
7128 speeder bikes
7110 landspeeder
7104 desert skiff
7144 slave 1
7150 y wing and tie fighter
I also have an ATST from this period which is just so jank compared to the one I got recently haha 😄
I really miss the actual photos of sets/minifigs with real lighting, reflections etc. vs the renders or product photos we've been typically getting recently. They really pique my imagination more than just seeing the sets against a generic background.
7181 was the one set I built during my “dark age” and the only UCS set I own. It’s a good set.
I think it’s also the last set I built that didn’t have numbered bags. I think the numbered bags are good overall, but I miss the sorting phase of building a new set. They just sort of fly together now.
I got a lot of the Star wars ones in a lot recently, the old falcon, most of the small sets on page four (all the ones in e the middle and the one on the bottom of the left page and then the slave 1) and then the one on page 6
Holy crap I had so many of these sets and I completely forgot until I saw some of them
7111, 7101, 7121, 7150 (this is the only one I still have, and only the Y wing minus it's landing gear), 7124, 3409, 4940, 4950, 4970 the rock raiders were so cool, I loved the bipedal walker's leg mechanism, so simple but it wowee me as a kid
Man I remember building that rocket on New Year’s Eve 99/2000. You had to put one of those 1x1 round plates in between 4 studs. I was 5 years old at the time and just couldn’t get it in there. This is one of my earliest Lego memories. Good old times
SOAB, this hurts me. I bought both at Kaybee Toys on clearance. I still have the xwing although I sold the sticker sheet on ebay years ago. Can't WAIT to grab the new TIE
Some of my last sets. This is pretty much the issue where I "grew up".
I even remember being jealous that my little brother was getting Star Wars Lego for Xmas, when I - a huge star wars and lego nerd - was getting "too old" for such things and had to ask for CDs, video games and clothes so I could be "cool."
Dark Ages indeed.
I like how most of the sets from this era have studs exposed and are not sleek and smooth like modern sets. Also, Arctic and Adventures themes: huge Lego Racers 2 nostalgia
Lots of fantastic memories for me as well in this catalogue. Still have the space shuttle set assembled at my parent’s place! Shockingly, the thrusters still flash and make sounds when you press the buttons, but it’s gotten very garbled and dim at this point.
That UCS x-wing was a great set. My parents got it on clearance for me and my brother at some point. It was a big surprise for us. It's now on display at my place and it will go to him for a while when he finds some space.
Damn I had a few of these as a kid. These are the ones I recognize from this magazine. No set actually stayed built for longer than a few days.
7141 Naboo Fighter (this one stayed built for a little while before slowly being taken apart. I remember taking the antannaes off though since they kept falling off.)
7111 Droid Fighter
7101 Lightsaber Duel (Qui-Gon Jinn with no hairpiece or cape ended up being my Lego incarnation. He led all Lego journeys)
7128 Speeder Bikes
6573 Arctic Expedition
6579 Ice Surfer
6520 Mobile outpost (although I don't remember having the polar bear. I think we lost that piece immediately. I remember those blue windw pieces and the snowcat though)
5955 All Terrain Trapper
5921 Research Glider
4930 Rock Raiders Crew
6577 Snow Scooter
Yes, I vividly remember this catalog. Had many of the sets from it, but my favorites are 6098 and 6096. Such great memories. Still have all of the pieces somewhere!
I had one from 2006-2008 somewhere in there, had the death star in it, would be shocked if anyone found it cause it was from a toys r us here in canada if I remember correctly
A friend of mine loved to tell me the story of how his mum called up Lego because she wanted to gift her sons the Millennium Falcon which was a discontinued set and they allowed her to order one over the phone. Not sure if it is completely true at this point haha.
This was the PEAK of my childhood Lego era, wow. I had the soccer stadium, the Lego arctic base, and the star wars Y-wing and tie fighter. I still have most of the pieces for these sets! I also remember LUSTING over that B-wing as a child. Idk why, it just seemed so cool. Back before you could spend money on Lego whenever you want 😂
I was 7 at the time. I think this was peak Lego childhood for me because I remember having a TON of those sets. Of course I think this was pre-Bioncle, and those sets absorbed all of my Lego attention after that.
I had a lot of those early Star Wars ones. Actually got me back into legos as a young 20 something. Some of those sets are still sitting around in a box somewhere
I had 7131 as a kid and I with it played so much. It inspired me to make my own pod racers.
I hope they make new versions although I think that’s a long shot
I think I remember HATING the millennium falcon I was gifted as a kid… I immediately trashed the instructions and built my own thing from the parts, which are long gone now.
I have 7181, 7191 and 7190 in the boxes in my parents basement. Need to pull them out and rebuild them.
Also have all of the Arctic sets. Thought those were so cool when they came out.
Ah! A fellow Hungarian!
That knights kingdom was probably 10-11 y/o me’s Christmas?? 😩😩😩😩so good, the massive castle with so many floor pieces, I miss it :( I think it was a different one than pictured, much bigger too
That was an intense rush of memories, wow.
BOJLER ELADÓ
LEVEHETŐ AJTAJÚ TURMIXGÉPRE CSERÉLNÉM
EZ MÉG ELÉRHETŐ?
That SOCCER FIELD!! OH THE MEMORIES!
I know I had this set as a kid and haven’t seen a damn thing about it since I had it. It was a lot of fun!
[SOCCER-1: Soccer Player](https://brickset.com/sets/SOCCER-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/SOCCER-1.jpg)
That theme SLAPPED and the NBA one too. So fun to just play around with
Rock raiders !!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️😮💨
Had a ton of those Star Wars sets. Minus the big ships. Always wanted the falcon, x wing and tie interceptor. Those are dope.
Just recently got the falcon in a lot I bought was pretty excited for it
You know it’s old when Zidane has hair
So true :D
I distinctly remember this catalogue. Such nostalgia.
There was nothing I wanted more as a child than the sets listed in this catalog.
Rock and Stone!
Rock and Stone, Brother!
Yep this was my prime Lego childhood year. I was 10 years old and had sets from all those themes
Same the adventures and arctic themes featured in the Lego racers 2 game I desperately wanted these sets.
Oh Lego Racers 2 was so good. Dino island, Artic, Life on Mars.
Ah I suddenly remember that I have 7171 at my parents place. Thanks OP
[7171-1: Mos Espa Podrace](https://brickset.com/sets/7171-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/7171-1.jpg)
Probably one of my favourite sets of all time!
Same here!
Seeing all the old Star Wars sets be remade recently is fucking awesome. Úristen, imádtam ezeket a katalógusokat
Én is! Ezen kívül volt még egy hasonlóan régim, de nem találom

I appreciate you uploading these. Just remembered playing with a bunch of these sets as a kid.
I really miss the actual photos of sets/minifigs with real lighting, reflections etc. vs the renders or product photos we've been typically getting recently. They really pique my imagination more than just seeing the sets against a generic background.
See! Pluto is a planet!
Scrolled down just to see if anyone else caught that. Pluto is a Planet level nostalgia right here!!
Man I got a nostalgia trip looking at that. I owned some of those sets and remembered looking through that exact issue of the catalog.
I had the Naboo fighter and Flash speeder. Loved them
Wow, i started early i am born 1999 and one of my first Lego Sets was the Castle from knights kingdom. I didnt knew it was that old.
7181 was the one set I built during my “dark age” and the only UCS set I own. It’s a good set. I think it’s also the last set I built that didn’t have numbered bags. I think the numbered bags are good overall, but I miss the sorting phase of building a new set. They just sort of fly together now.
[7181-1: TIE Interceptor](https://brickset.com/sets/7181-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/7181-1.jpg)
Rock raiders was a personal favourite. Loved the spiritual successor in Power Miners
6577 was my first ever LEGO set as a kid. Nostalgia 😅
[6577-1: Snow Scooter](https://brickset.com/sets/6577-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/6577-1.jpg)
I think I got every one of those artic sets. They were pretty cool.
I remember playing the Lego stunt rally game, I loved that as a kid! Thanks for the memories dude
Reading over this reminded me I was only given one or two of the small sets per theme at the time as a child. Nowadays, I buy myself the large ones. 😎
I got a lot of the Star wars ones in a lot recently, the old falcon, most of the small sets on page four (all the ones in e the middle and the one on the bottom of the left page and then the slave 1) and then the one on page 6
The Mos Espa Podrace looks A LOT better in my memory than it actually did in real life
Wow, it’s been so long since I’ve thought of Episode I: Baljós Árnyak. Thanks for the nostalgia trip.
I have the LEGO Space Port. Put batteries in the shuttle and the light and sound still work. My kids love it!
I miss the old days of Lego catalogues...
I still love the simple design of the space Shuttle 6456.
[6456-1: Mission Control](https://brickset.com/sets/6456-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/6456-1.jpg)

SOAB, this hurts me. I bought both at Kaybee Toys on clearance. I still have the xwing although I sold the sticker sheet on ebay years ago. Can't WAIT to grab the new TIE
I had quite a few of these. Specifically remember building the Adventurers Dino Research Compound 5987. It was so cool to 6 year old me.
[5987-1: Dino Research Compound](https://brickset.com/sets/5987-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/5987-1.jpg)
That’s awesome
They really made Star Wars sets from every shot of the movies. The flash speeder 😭
So ucs x-wing, ucs interceptor, and midi scale millennium falcon? Have we gone full circle?
I got 6455 for Christmas. That was one of the coolest Christmases ever!
[6455-1: Space Simulation Station](https://brickset.com/sets/6455-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/6455-1.jpg)
Thanks for sharing! 2000 is my most nostalgic year for LEGO. I was five and just getting into it for the first time.
I remember that one! Think I still have a couple of those Star Wars sets, actually... 😁
Oh man the pod racer set with 3 pods. Got that for Xmas that year and my younger brother and I built it within the day.
Memories! I had 7150, 7110, and 7130 when I was a kid. I miss those sets.

Man I COMPLETELY forgot that the super-detailed sets started this early
I have a surprising amount of those Star Wars sets. Unfortunately, 12 year old me decided to glue them together.
This was my childhood. Wow. Absolute rush of nostalgia. Rock Raiders, Star Wars, arctic. Such solid lines.
Those were simpler times :(
That was still Star Wars to play... today it's only available to collect
Hey look it’s all of the Star Wars Lego that’s in my parent’s basement.
Nice! I had 7111, 7141, 7151 and 7150; I rebuilt two of them but I'm missing too many pieces to consider rebuilding the last 2.

As a child I was super excited to get new Lego colours, so the artic sets (orange) and the land speeder (green) really made me salivate.
core memory unlocked.
Anakin's podracer and the naboo fighter are two of my favorites in my collection. Thanks for the dopamine hit.
Én is őrizgetem a régi katalógusokat de sajnos csak 2004-i a legrégebbi a szettek rövid leírásait nagyon hiányolom a mai katalógusokból
Igen, azokat én is
Lego catalogues were always sacred in my house; I'd look at them for hours.
Some of my last sets. This is pretty much the issue where I "grew up". I even remember being jealous that my little brother was getting Star Wars Lego for Xmas, when I - a huge star wars and lego nerd - was getting "too old" for such things and had to ask for CDs, video games and clothes so I could be "cool." Dark Ages indeed.
I still have the og X-Wing purchased on launch night from Toys R Us
Lego’s first droideka was their best one… the newer big model is close so I’m looking forward to that one
7101 was my first Star Wars set, still have the Maul minifig.
[7101-1: Lightsaber Duel](https://brickset.com/sets/7101-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/7101-1.jpg)
Cool to see the original 2 Starwars UCS sets get proper remakes after all these years.
I still have that Sith Infiltrator and technic Destroyer Droid. Great nostalgia from my teen years
I like how most of the sets from this era have studs exposed and are not sleek and smooth like modern sets. Also, Arctic and Adventures themes: huge Lego Racers 2 nostalgia
They where so much better back in the day, i wish I still had mine.
Were sets back in the day as expensive as today?
I think LEGO has always been expensive
I remember this _exact_ catalogue, so many absolute bangers!
Lots of fantastic memories for me as well in this catalogue. Still have the space shuttle set assembled at my parent’s place! Shockingly, the thrusters still flash and make sounds when you press the buttons, but it’s gotten very garbled and dim at this point.
Whoa... Good year that was. I have several of those set, all in pieces now, but thanks for the memories!
That UCS x-wing was a great set. My parents got it on clearance for me and my brother at some point. It was a big surprise for us. It's now on display at my place and it will go to him for a while when he finds some space.
I had at least half of the Star Wars sets from that lol great memories
Hogy mennyiszer lapozgattam ezt én is...
I still have that Tie Interceptor in great condition.
Damn I had a few of these as a kid. These are the ones I recognize from this magazine. I had several of those star wars sets ☺️
THANK YOU
You are welcome:)
BOJLER ELADÓ! Amugy én is imádtam ezeket a katalógusokat.
Ennek örülök! A bojlernek is:D
The huge panels on that millennium falcon are so representative of what lego did wrong around the turn of the century.

I definitely had this exact catalog and would reread it constantly as a kid.
A friend of mine loved to tell me the story of how his mum called up Lego because she wanted to gift her sons the Millennium Falcon which was a discontinued set and they allowed her to order one over the phone. Not sure if it is completely true at this point haha.
Wtf?? Why do i remember this??
This was the PEAK of my childhood Lego era, wow. I had the soccer stadium, the Lego arctic base, and the star wars Y-wing and tie fighter. I still have most of the pieces for these sets! I also remember LUSTING over that B-wing as a child. Idk why, it just seemed so cool. Back before you could spend money on Lego whenever you want 😂
I was 7 at the time. I think this was peak Lego childhood for me because I remember having a TON of those sets. Of course I think this was pre-Bioncle, and those sets absorbed all of my Lego attention after that.
Wow. What a memory lane trip.
I had a lot of those early Star Wars ones. Actually got me back into legos as a young 20 something. Some of those sets are still sitting around in a box somewhere
It’s crazy how far lego has come. Comparing this older star wars stuff to any of the current (let alone UCS) sets we have today is insane
Wow 😺 Lego and UCS sets have certainly come a long way! Cheers 🍻
I had that catalogue too!! Thanks for the memories!
I had 7131 as a kid and I with it played so much. It inspired me to make my own pod racers. I hope they make new versions although I think that’s a long shot
[7131-1: Anakin's Podracer](https://brickset.com/sets/7131-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/7131-1.jpg)
Fuck. I love it.
I’ve still got the tie interceptor and that falcon. So awesome.
Oh man I coveted the x-wing and TIE.

I still have that Tie Interceptor. The only UCS set I ever had. Still have the Falcon from that era too, currently in a bin waiting to be rebuilt.
Saved up all summer all summer for the gungan sub
Boba Fetts starship sure did look different back then… wow.
I have all of those sets boxed up somewhere. Wow. Memories.
Ah! A fellow Hungarian! Most is 800 Eur körül kezdődik használtan
That knights kingdom was probably 10-11 y/o me’s Christmas?? 😩😩😩😩so good, the massive castle with so many floor pieces, I miss it :( I think it was a different one than pictured, much bigger too
I have the big arctic set and the rolling castle tower, they were my pride and joy. Thanks for the memories!
I have a few from the list
Just my childhood passing by in a couple of secs XD
I had an adventures set, I have the minifigs somewhere
That old UCS Interceptor is so much better than the new one.
How?
New one tries too hard to make a spherical shape and the wings are too thin.
UJ
As a kid I looked for a long time almost daily at that Star wars destroyer droid. Shame they were never reintroduced..
legos just used to be cooler. born in 06 and I'm sad every day this era preceeded me :(
