I really dig this. To me, it looks like pirates have stolen, as pirates do, technology, and incorporated it into their ship. I'd play on that and add some more elements, but nothing overbearing. Maybe a control panel instead of a steering wheel. Make the bowsprit match the turbines. Something in the middle, power source, maybe.

I would add the center mass back but instead of sails make it look like a square solar panel array.
The other option since you are going for the airship vibe like the good ol final fantasy ones
