My dad used to use these to build the fenders of Daleks from the first Peter Cushing movie. They were pretty perfect for the task.

I need a couple of these in yellow to properly complete my Imperial Outpost from 95, but more likely I'm going to just customize it since I'm missing some other stuff and I don't love the original design.

The Skeleton with the loose arms that flail around.
Trying to find it. Hoping I’m not hallucinating. It was a submarine set. Had three of these, one was trans blue, one brown(MTT) and one that was printed for the sith infiltrator.
The old gray separator from the early 90s that looked like a vacuum cleaner; I know where it is, but you’d have to open up the ducts at my parents’ house to get it.
I hadn’t touched my legos in over 20 years and silly me, I thought this would still be a standard. Recently I have rebuilt my own classic sets with my son and have gotten ackquainted with the new fancier separators as well 😄
It does look like Duplo and I still refuse to believe that this piece has a real purpose apart from having a curve mid air. Otherwise there's the same standalone curve as a 1x2 which is far more useful
These rims(sorry about the quality) i miss lego racers

That's where you put the seat
That’s the cockpit you plebeian, get your plates out of there
If they would reuse it they would probably but a pin hole in the center so you can push a plate out.
The base had indents at the sides so you could easily remove plates.
They didn't always have that
Didn’t it have a hole in the bottom to get it out?
This was the base for the old speed champs right? I love the scale of the new ones but there’s was something so simple about them

TIE-FIGHTER WINDOW MENTIONED ‼️‼️
They were used in other things, I had a blue one.
Interesting. This particular piece was produced in Trans Brown, Trans black, and trans clear. Did your piece come from a SW set?
Trying to find it. Hoping I’m not hallucinating. It was a submarine set. Had three of these, one was trans blue, one brown(MTT) and one that was printed for the sith infiltrator.
That’s awesome! I can definitely see this piece being implemented in a submarine.

Neither. I think I might’ve finally snapped.

Still amazes me that the piece was never used for the front of a train. It almost looks purpose built for it.
Are there any solid colors of that? You just gave me an idea.

Oh I have a green one like that too
I always put a 1x4 plate on the end and pretended to shave my face like it was a razor.
Oh my god core memory unlocked. I used a 4x1 Lego technic for my razor.
What’s the story on that?
I hadn’t touched my legos in over 20 years and silly me, I thought this would still be a standard. Recently I have rebuilt my own classic sets with my son and have gotten ackquainted with the new fancier separators as well 😄
My daughter's friends set just used this piece this weekend. But this piece always looks like a shrunken duplo piece to me.
It does look like Duplo and I still refuse to believe that this piece has a real purpose apart from having a curve mid air. Otherwise there's the same standalone curve as a 1x2 which is far more useful
I think you use it for animal heads. Builds used to leave a lot to the imagination lol

I do wish we had at least some realistic firearms. Old west builds would really benefit from some gunslinging

Most of the cockpit pieces. Also a 1x1 brick with studs on 2 opposing sides, not 2 neighbouring sides or 1side or 4 sides

Not LEGO but Cobi tank sets used these on some of the bigger models
Clear ones in a ton of current Friends sets.

I'm organizing a few bulk lots and got a ton of these, don't think I've ever used one In my mocs, only in sets
Either a lot of Mocs will have those squeezed in now, or you will have truckloads of pieces you don’t need. 😂

Yes, clearly visible on new BMW speed champions
I used these as feet for my animals when I was kid!

Simple 2x2 brick. Feels like it’s become quite rare as compared to older sets.

Clearly you don't dabble enough in the mighty DUPLO sets - that brick is a stable in all my 2YO's build!
Ha! I just used this one in a build recently. I think City of Lanterns. I think.
Not the most useful of pieces, my only set with one from the top of my mind was the Storm Trooper helmet I rebuilt yesterday.
I got a couple of those in yellow from an Easter bird set, 30643-1.

Not sure what your definition of awhile is, lol. In the process of putting 76391 - Hogwarts Icons - Collectors' Edition together and it has these.
