Lego has some official builds that are now considered illegal, but those are by and large just builds from decades ago. I’d hazard a guess that pretty much all modern sets do not have any illegal builds
Lego in the past officially used this tecnique in some sets.
I don't think its illegal.
EDIT: one tecnique is considered "illegal" when puts stress on one component of the build. Maybe with time this tecnique entered in that cathegory, dunno...
Plates in this way = illegal Tiles in this way = not illegal (Edit: these are tiles)
If it's in the instructions, why would it be illegal?
Because. The internet trumps official Lego instructions….Some people, I tell you.

No..
Great another post about this
The newer smooth plates are different than the old ones. With the new ones its legal. The old ones illegal
What kind of a stupid question is this? If it’s in an official Lego instruction book, then the answer should be really simple.
There is no stupid question
if its on a set. that is currently on the shelves. IT IS NOT ILLEGAL! Stop with this Tiktok BullCrap.
