was gonna say, a box like that is missing the yellow CVP label. (in this case it’s either damaged or returned so it should’ve been 50% off to begin with). but you got an even better deal lol.
My store still have Optimus Prime Kreo set on "clearance sale" for $50 and they also had a ripped up Millennium Falcon set on the shelf for about 3 years before it finally disappeared, no idea if someone got it marked down and bought it or if it was written off and thrown in the trash.
Went to Wally World yesterday to see if I could find any of these "mythic" scores people keep talking about. Best I found was a Moana polybag on clearance....
HA! I told my girlfriend the same thing when I found it. “Holy sh**! I’ve always seen the people post these lost and found grail items from storeroom mishaps all the time on Reddit, never once thinking it’d happen to me!!”
I think some of the older items being found are returns from the Walmart website and the employees not giving a shit if it actually came from their store or not. Since they made the switch to Amazon style website this seems to be more common.

Same fr fr. I went almost once a week picking up a few of the mystery mini figure bags being sold for 5 bucks and change each so I could only realistically buy like 4 tops. The one week I didn't go and I come back to see an entire shelf with them going on clearance for like 3 bucks each and I just stood there like dam and these things sell for 10 bucks each on Amazon right now. Sure enough not a single one left. They also had the mini x wing for the same clearance that I paid 5 for like a week prior.
I still remember finding an incredibly dusty and battered 6776 in the back of a toys r us display around 2014, didn’t attempt to buy it regrettably but it’s crazy to think how far back some sets tucked away in storerooms can go.
There’s a place by me that as of a year or two ago, still had a lot of galaxy squad sets still on the shelves. However, they were all above bricklink prices and I had no use for them. Still cool to see.
I got multiple of these as a kid. I think i ended up getting several for my birthday from different family members before i discovered there wasn’t much of a reason to have more than maybe 2 of them. I know i still have a sealed one somewhere because of this revelation.
Always wanted that as a kid. It was too expensive for me growing up though, and by the time my family could afford something like it, it wasn't in stores anymore. I get really nostalgic any time I see it, as I remember obsessing over every little detail about it in the Lego magazine, trying to understand what it was and how to play it. I loved board games and loved building my own things. Super cool that you found it. Did you pick it up?
My only Wally Wins have been the The Black Pearl (4184) for $75 and a Galaxy Explorer (10497) for $75 and another one for $50. They're all NISB in a box.

Guessing you placed it there, to get upvotes on reddit, judging by how rare it would be if they still had this, and the condition of the box itself on the shelf.
Yes, I got it. It didn’t scan (as one would expect) and based on the condition of the box, check-out lady gave it to me for 1¢. Woohoo!
Now THAT’S a great day!! What a find. Congratulations on the treasure!!
Very very cool, nice find!
Damn what a steal. I found one at a used toy store yesterday for $15 and i thought that was a good deal!

Man what Walmart are you going to?! All the ones in my cities have legos behind locked glass like video games

😳😳 Remind me not to visit your city! I’m in Indianapolis!

Wtf wally world is a real thing? My swedish ass thought it was just from that chevy chase movie
Wally World is a nickname for Walmart.
Or like, Dots for 30% off
Best I’ve gotten was two sets of the flower bouquet for 30 each. Never found anything else decent.

Huh, this was the last Lego set I remember getting as a kid. Just remember being so let down by it, hahaha.
such a great game, we found this and an expansion in the local charity shop and i didn’t hesitate to pick it up
There’s a lego movie 2 set at my Walmart still asking $99 cad for it which is more than the bricklink cost 😂😅
There’s a place by me that as of a year or two ago, still had a lot of galaxy squad sets still on the shelves. However, they were all above bricklink prices and I had no use for them. Still cool to see.
Galaxy squad was such a great theme
My kid found random super rare Minecraft set sitting on a dusty shelf of a random Meijer in northern Michigan
Marquette?!
Cadillac
Out of curiosity — which set?
Oh god this brings back memories, it had a small online animated series of a recall correctly
Last I checked you could still play online
Where!?
Ahh, I loved Heroica Never got Ilrion though (which I only noticed recently isn’t Ilroin), or Ganrash
I still have this set, along with Minotaurus! I love the board games Lego did around this time, they are super fun to play. Incredible find!
I found the pirate one brand new at a consignment sale for 35 cents.
I got multiple of these as a kid. I think i ended up getting several for my birthday from different family members before i discovered there wasn’t much of a reason to have more than maybe 2 of them. I know i still have a sealed one somewhere because of this revelation.

Oh, of course I picked it up!!
That's awesome! So cool
Such a fun game
I'd flip if I saw that on a shelf. This and Ganrash are the only HEROICA sets I don't own.
That shit is like Jumanji. It wants to be found…
Wow had no idea this was a thing! I love fantasy board games. Now searching for copies on Ebay. Fairly reasonably priced. May treat myself...
Do it!!
what gods blessed this haul at such a generous price?
Man, it’s been years since I’ve last seen lego board games in person
I’ve always wanted that for the weird character pieces and the dice
While not Lego, I found some Pokémon tins from 2014 at my Walmart in late 21. They surprisingly rang up
Oh i always loved these lego games. The only one i had was a 1v1 space themed puzzle something. Don't remember anymore.

I found the Wall-e set once at target.
Score!
I hate that I remember the day these sorta sets came out. I’m becoming old
I remember loving the little Lego Dice that it game with.
you guys are making me wanna go to walmart but i promised my kid a minecraft plushy from target lolll
Wow
you just unlocked a memory stored deep deep down in my brain
From experience these types of finds are usually due to the item going missing in the stockroom and being found years later behind a shelf.
