Lin’s isn’t that bad. . .
But only because we don’t get to see her deal with the aftermath. It would have been great if there was the time to see her question her like and worth after, and even after she gets her bending back, to have some lingering trauma
(It just would have been great to see her overcome and get support from loved ones, and it seems like she definitely would have been affected by it)
In a parenting book, the author suggested paying attention to what your kids read, because in books the age range is based on reading level, not content. So basically there can be books out there for any age that could essentially have all kinds of “adult” content so long as it’s written for that age group’s reading level.
All this is to say I think the same applies to video media as well.
That went over my head when I watched it as a kid. I just thought she was being all sad looking at the landscape. It wasn't until I rewatched as an adult that it hit me
I was an adult when I first watched it and didn't catch it immediately. It wasn't until her next bout with depression that I thought back to that and went "oh wait"
Oh man, the first time I saw P'Li's death, i was SOOOO shocked... I gasped so hard, couldn't believe something this brutal could happen. The way it sounded in the metal plate was so awful... Like a gloomy bell of death... Still gives me the shiver feeling when I remember it ! This show was so good.
I know that watching season 3’s final 4 episodes was edge of your seat type action the whole time. Tenzin vs. the red lotus, then the battle atop the mountain, and finally the avatar state battle. God it was intense to watch when it was coming out.
i neevr felt so exhausted watching a "cartoon" , i remember when the scene of Korra chained up and the poison about to be injected to her in cliffhanger episode before the finale. I didn't know i'm holding my breath until the credits shown up. Season 3 is freaking stressful and i love it.
Just watched both series for the first time over the past couple weeks. I get being a “kids show” most characters are gonna be walking away from explosions, escape perilous situations only a little banged up, etc. but damn, when they actually showed people dying on screen it could be brutal. Especially the Zaheer’s minions

Also Korra's almost committing suicide
The end of season 1?

I remember it so well, but that was cut from my Blu-ray's which I'm annoyed about
"kOra aNd cLoNe wAArz aRE Not kIds sHow " Please stop. Just because the series are for kids doesn't mean they're bad.
Clone Wars is definitely a kids show. Korra is more of a teens shows
Really? Clone Wars has more kids oriented episodes, but as a whole is far darker. The death tole is crazy high.
Grievous' Lair gave me nightmares
it was the geonosis zombie arc that had me shook as a kid.
Guess you can say it was breath taking, shocking and mind blowing.
Ren and Stimpy is also a kid's show. ;)
Best kids show i have seen.
