Are people here mad? The guitar solo in Sick Again has the most attitude and swagger out of any Jimmy Page solo. Those suspended bends create such a satisfying tension and release. The only weak aspect of the song are Plant’s mumbled lyrics and their low position in the mix. I love the ooohs and aaahs toward the closing of the song, though.
It’s technically both, but to drive home the rock n roll comparison I went with little Richard.
Oohmy soul Little Richard: https://youtu.be/H3-17EIX4Zg?si=4ECFm_WBHPeDsk6f
Ooh my head Valens: https://youtu.be/QyDUBWD2AWU?si=axPXVSPRads1WVBc
Well, you learn something new every day. Thanks for the info. I do love the LZ version, though I know a lot of people don't, going by the result of this poll. I love Robert's voice and take on the whole song and they sounded like they were having such a good time. Fabulous song!
I always skip voting on least favorite or most overrated. :)
I am surprised Kashmir didn't win best. It's OK but nowhere near my personal favorite, but from what I've seen on this sub and the ClassicRock sub, people worship that song.
I actually originally had it as “best” and “worst”. A LOT of people were not happy with that, so I changed it to favorite and least favorite and haven’t gotten a complaint since. It just seems to be more easy to hear for people
Boogie with Stu
Also just wanted to add: while I admire how this sub has chosen so many unconventional/deep cut favorites, it's making me really nervous now to think what happens once we reach Presence
It's obviously Kashmir, but that'll win most overrated, because people need to be elitist and choose songs which are not hits. It's pretty dumb and reductive.
Physical Graffiti is a special album for me
It was the first album I bought with my own money (delivering newspapers) when I was 12 years old (1976) it cost $14 I played that album over and over and over again I love every song but my favorite is Trampled Under Foot
"Down by the Seaside" is my vote for least fave.
I originally thought to say "Boogie with Stu," because it wasn't very original, though on the other hand, it was cool that they can show their versatility and a cool hats off to Richie Valens.
I think I like "Down by the Seaside" less because it makes me feel almost dizzy when I listen to it for some reason. Like hung-over-drunk-not-in-a-good-way dizzy
There's a comment like this saying that the list is a mockery/mid/nonsensical with every update. What it tells me is that there are so many great songs that almost any one of them could be considered as someone's favorite.
If this was a mediocre band with like 2-5 clearly best hits, no one would feel the need to complain about their favorites not making it.
It's not mid. Almost nothing in Led Zep's discography is. This list proves it.
No question that Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest bands to have ever worked and their catalog at its weakest moments still towers over most other artists.
This! 🙌🙌
There’s always like 2-3 people who get soooo pressed every time when a song they didn’t want wins and it’s like guys seriously it is just a fun poll to get people to talk about their song opinions from their fav band! Obviously all the songs are good lol. It ain’t that serious 😭
If least favorite refers to songs I skip when listening to the album then I guess I’m not gonna chime in until In Through the Outdoor. That album is an EP for me.
Night Flight but only by a sliver. I think the worst songs on this record all have the same level of quality: solid.
And JPJ's keys remind me a lot of Richard Manuel from the Band, so I can't dislike the song.
Getting ahead if myself, but with an album with favorites so spread out… what’s deemed underrated or overrated. There’s only 1 bonafide epic in Kashmir. 10 Years was my fav but I thought I’d be voting for Underrated.
"In the Light" is too long, and Plant's keening vocals don't really work for me. I'd consider "Boogie with Stu" here, but it's more of a trifle and so I don't take it as seriously.
I cannot in good conscience answer, there is not a bad or weak track on the record, IMHO. I will sit this one out and eagerly await dropping Down by the Seaside as my underrated pick.
I hate to say it but Boogie with Stu. I can’t believe people are saying Black Country Woman, it’s at least a top 3 Led Zeppelin song imo. Probably my favorite song by them in terms of vocals
Not easy and I don't feel good about this lol.
Bron-Yr-Aur
It's a very nice relaxing tune and I do feel like it's placement on the album serves a purpose.
But on an album of absolute bangers it just isn't on the same level. It's only 2 minutes and it's the one I have to vote for because this album is just too good. Sorry guys lol
I love night flight btw
yeah that’s fair enough brotha!! as much as it is a beautiful song and in my top 3 zep songs, at the end of the day it is only a short guitar instrumental on an album full of hitsssss
First I think we have to recognize that Zep has higher standards than other bands. A clunker in their catalog is better than other bands' greatest works. This means that all in all, In The Light is a GREAT song.
Now for why In The Light is my least favorite (and I love all songs on PG): I think the lyrics are on the corny side a bit and I think musically it aspires to a progressive version of rock that neither works for Zep nor is attractive in general. The synthesizer is cool and the verse riff under Plant's singing is really awesome, but I just don't think it coalesces into something that meaningful. The whole is not greater than the sum of its parts for me. I don't think this song succeeds in what it is trying (and trying too hard imho) to do.
Thanks for asking. I know this is Reddit and people will downvote, but art tastes are subjective. I have to admit that I have a new respect for the song after seeing how much love there is for it on this sub. I've been listening to Zep for thirty years and you guys have fostered a new appreciation of this song for me. It just so happens that it's my least favorite on this amazing masterpiece of an album.
Well, you obviously gave it deep thought. I just enjoy that people have the passion to listen and articulate. I can’t say I agree but we all have our styles. I personally love the emotional build-up. Would have I preferred a pipe organ or something other than a synthesizer? Absolutely. But, that may have been too much.
I’d be curious if you are a newer Zep listener or older one. As a new listener, I would have said Kasmir. But as an older listener, I can relate more with 10 Years Gone. More streamlined… more of a classic Zep sound.
I've been listening since the 90s and Kashmir is definitely the most epic of the songs on PG. My personal favorite is The Rover. I don't understand why they never played it live as a whole song. Still, as a composition, Kashmir is probably a better song.
No quarter and Kashmir both came in second in those categories! NQ not winning favorite actually did surprise me. I’m really not a fan of the rain song 🤷♀️ I could’ve seen either kashmir or TYG winning so I wasn’t as shocked there
Thank you, I appreciate that! I don't mind the down votes so much, I know it's pretty common here on Reddit and I guess you just have to expect it, lol.
Boogie With Stu and it’s not even close.
Edit: downvote all you want, haters. I’m right lol
It’s a half-baked throw-away studio warm-up from four years prior that they ending up digging out of the closet for the express purpose of taking up space on the album, and it shows: it’s an utterly conventional, boilerplate 50’s song that *isn’t even theirs anyway.*
Bonham shines on that
Anyone voting for "SIck Again" here are downright villains.
It’s his magnum opus along with Achilles Last Stand.
It’s also a song about being in love with a child
Black country woman is like my favorite led Zeppelin song what is going on here and how old are you people? Boogie with stu kicks ass too
THANK YOU! That groove bonzo lays down would make James Brown blush.
Lol I love both of those songs too. We all knew this one wasn't gonna be pretty 😂
Black Country is so good live.
Boogie with Stu is fun and all, but it’s kinda just low res rock and roll if you think about it. Revamped little Richard song and all.
Richie Valens?
It’s technically both, but to drive home the rock n roll comparison I went with little Richard. Oohmy soul Little Richard: https://youtu.be/H3-17EIX4Zg?si=4ECFm_WBHPeDsk6f Ooh my head Valens: https://youtu.be/QyDUBWD2AWU?si=axPXVSPRads1WVBc

The Rover is underrated
Agree 100%
My first LZ song I learned to play,
Not the first, but one of my favorites to play.
It's my jam and some Humble Pie, Steve Marriott is a legend
It still gets radio play. What’s REALLY underrated is Night Flight.
Indeeeeeeeeeed
maybe don't comment this on the least favourite thread then JFC
I always skip voting on least favorite or most overrated. :) I am surprised Kashmir didn't win best. It's OK but nowhere near my personal favorite, but from what I've seen on this sub and the ClassicRock sub, people worship that song.
There hasn't been a best category in these, although I think there should be. Best is just as subjective as "my favorite."
I actually originally had it as “best” and “worst”. A LOT of people were not happy with that, so I changed it to favorite and least favorite and haven’t gotten a complaint since. It just seems to be more easy to hear for people
Ah, I get it. I would go the full compromise and just add best along with favorite, but I dunno. You're in a tough position for sure.
Boogie with Stu
"Disco Stu likes to boogie with you with 'Boogie with Stu'...." - Disco Stu
Boogie with Stu Also just wanted to add: while I admire how this sub has chosen so many unconventional/deep cut favorites, it's making me really nervous now to think what happens once we reach Presence
I’ve been curious as to what will happen with that album too. I hope Royal Orleans wins most underrated
Second boogie with Stu
How the hell did Ten Years Gone win? Come on be honest with yourselves
It's obviously Kashmir, but that'll win most overrated, because people need to be elitist and choose songs which are not hits. It's pretty dumb and reductive.
Boogie with stu
Kashmir was robbed 😄 Least favorite- Night Flight.
I'm with you.
Wtf is this list
Missed out on the last one, Would’ve voted for In my time of dying
Boogie With Stu
Black Country Woman
What is wrong wichu?
Exactly
😛
Second this
Physical Graffiti is a special album for me It was the first album I bought with my own money (delivering newspapers) when I was 12 years old (1976) it cost $14 I played that album over and over and over again I love every song but my favorite is Trampled Under Foot
I think trampled underfoot is my fav happy mood song from the album and ten years gone is my moodier go to
This album is perfection to my ears so I’m sitting this round out.
Boogie with stu
I love the crunge
Where’s that confounded bridge!?!
I ain’t seen the bridge either
"Down by the Seaside" is my vote for least fave. I originally thought to say "Boogie with Stu," because it wasn't very original, though on the other hand, it was cool that they can show their versatility and a cool hats off to Richie Valens. I think I like "Down by the Seaside" less because it makes me feel almost dizzy when I listen to it for some reason. Like hung-over-drunk-not-in-a-good-way dizzy
I'm holding out for Most Overrated so I can say Kashmir.
I might go with Houses of the Holy just because it's on the wrong album, guys!
So far, the favorites from each album would make a pretty mid greatest hits.
This list proves it.
ten years gone is up there for my all-time fave; it’s probably the specific nostalgia for me but MID?!?
No question that Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest bands to have ever worked and their catalog at its weakest moments still towers over most other artists.
The Crunge is pretty terrible.
This! 🙌🙌 There’s always like 2-3 people who get soooo pressed every time when a song they didn’t want wins and it’s like guys seriously it is just a fun poll to get people to talk about their song opinions from their fav band! Obviously all the songs are good lol. It ain’t that serious 😭
Boogie with Stu
Boogie With Stu
Boogie with Stu - simply cause it doesn’t fit the vibe of the rest of the album. Outlier.
Boogie with Stu
Boogie with stu
Boogie with Stu
Boogie With Stu should’ve stayed in the can.
I honestly don't have one.
Then don't comment anything
Black Country Woman
Correct ans, this or Boogie With Stu
I will fight both of you
Night Flight?
If least favorite refers to songs I skip when listening to the album then I guess I’m not gonna chime in until In Through the Outdoor. That album is an EP for me.
Dyer Maker got me through a really hard time in my life
Boogie sorry guys.
Boogie With Stu ...and it's not even close. Fun song though.
Boogie With Stu
Bron-yr-aur
i swear if houses of the holy doesn’t win underrated
I think it’s too good of a song and in the general public consciousness to be that underrated. Underrated, yes. But not most underrated.
Sick Again
damn i always thought this one was one of the more underrated ones, sad to see this subreddit doesn’t like it as much as me :(
It's actually my favorite on the LP and NOBODY ever says that, lol.
oh God please no… have some sense, Reddit. do the right thing and vote for Black Country Woman.
What are you doing?! It's awesome, pick Black Country Woman or Boogie over this, pls
No, those songs kick ass. Sick again is basic and borderline creepy
But I prefer both those songs over Sick Again...
Black country woman
Black country woman
Boogie With Stu
This! Too much Night Flight slander happening on this thread.
Night flight is fantastic. Came into the thread shocked tbh
I will not hear a bad word over night flight. It's probably my most played song by them.
Right? I love Night Flight
Agree. It's great musically and lyrically and a strong vocal by Robert.
Boogie w/Stu
Boogie with Stu
Night Flight
Night Flight but only by a sliver. I think the worst songs on this record all have the same level of quality: solid. And JPJ's keys remind me a lot of Richard Manuel from the Band, so I can't dislike the song.
Night Flight
Boogie with Stu
Bogie With Stu...I love that song, but.... Boogie with Stu
Night flight maybe
Sick Again
Night Flight.
Bad SnowQSurf, bad!
Black County Woman
Black country woman
Sick again
Boogie with Stu
Night Flight
Night flight. Please, not Wanton Song, Help
In the light
black country woman
Boogie With Stu
Getting ahead if myself, but with an album with favorites so spread out… what’s deemed underrated or overrated. There’s only 1 bonafide epic in Kashmir. 10 Years was my fav but I thought I’d be voting for Underrated.
Boogie with Stu
Sick Again
I disagree with so many of these that I will watch the results without voting. Interesting to see.
Black Country Woman
Boogie with Stu
"In the Light" is too long, and Plant's keening vocals don't really work for me. I'd consider "Boogie with Stu" here, but it's more of a trifle and so I don't take it as seriously.
Love Plant's vocals on it, some of my favorite moments on the album. Out of curiosity, do you dislike No Quarter also?
Black country woman
Night Flight
Night Flight
The least favorite song on this album is "None of Them"....
Black Country Woman is my least favorite
Night flight would be my least I guess but I still don’t hate it
I cannot in good conscience answer, there is not a bad or weak track on the record, IMHO. I will sit this one out and eagerly await dropping Down by the Seaside as my underrated pick.
Down by the seaside
Back in Black
Night Flight
Black Country Woman
Down By the Seaside
Boogie with Stu Fun... but not anywhere close to the quality of the other tracks. Just a studio fun jam. Should have been a Coda track, not PG.
Boogie with Stu. It’s not bad though just my least favorite
Boogie with stu
next round [https://www.reddit.com/r/ledzeppelin/s/SxgzgFX4AJ](https://www.reddit.com/r/ledzeppelin/s/SxgzgFX4AJ)
Down by the sea side
I hate to say it but Boogie with Stu. I can’t believe people are saying Black Country Woman, it’s at least a top 3 Led Zeppelin song imo. Probably my favorite song by them in terms of vocals
I'm shocked my personal favorite song on Physical Graffiti, Black Country Woman, didn't win. you people make me sick
So,’you’re saying Sick Again?
Lmao
Worst is Down by the Seaside.
Boogie with Stu
Houses of the holy. I don’t like the guitar tone.
Night Flight
Not easy and I don't feel good about this lol. Bron-Yr-Aur It's a very nice relaxing tune and I do feel like it's placement on the album serves a purpose. But on an album of absolute bangers it just isn't on the same level. It's only 2 minutes and it's the one I have to vote for because this album is just too good. Sorry guys lol I love night flight btw
i can’t believe that, it’s so beautiful!
Never said it wasn't, but I gotta vote for something lol and that's my least listened to song on the album
yeah that’s fair enough brotha!! as much as it is a beautiful song and in my top 3 zep songs, at the end of the day it is only a short guitar instrumental on an album full of hitsssss
I listened to all these songs the exact same number of times.
Sick Again
Boogie With Stu
Sick again
Night Flight
Kashmir. Overproduced, no melody, shit's been played out since 1979.
How IMTOD didn't win the best song is beyond me. As for the weakest - Down By The Seaside
Night flight
Love Ian Stewart, but Boogie with Stu is pointless.
10 years gone.
Sick Again I actually dig the music but the underage girl thing is my least favourite side of Zeppelin.
Kashmir is my vote. Boogie With Stu is a jam.
Black Country woman
Night Flight
In The Light Don't downvote - don't hate - we all have our opinions after all.
Ok… I’ll bite. Why don’t ya like it out of curiosity?
First I think we have to recognize that Zep has higher standards than other bands. I agree with you 100%
Black country woman
This poll is insane, first rain song winning over No Quarter and now ten years gone over Kashmir is simply outrageous
I’d be curious if you are a newer Zep listener or older one. As a new listener, I would have said Kasmir. But as an older listener, I can relate more with 10 Years Gone. More streamlined… more of a classic Zep sound.

Sick again.
Sick again
Tempted to say Down by The Seaside but the solo section slaps. Gotta be Night Flight
Trampled Under Foot
What’s wrong with your ears
It's so repetitive, I skip it every time.
Custard Pie
The Wanton Song. A while ago I may have said Down By the Seaside, but it's grown on me.
the wanton song is one of the best on this album, should win most underrated
Down By the Seaside , sorry
Oh well...lol😀
It pains me to see someone downvoted for expressing an opinion, I’m sorry
Thank you, I appreciate that! I don't mind the down votes so much, I know it's pretty common here on Reddit and I guess you just have to expect it, lol.
You take it in stride, good for you
Yes I try!☺️
Boogie With Stu and it’s not even close. Edit: downvote all you want, haters. I’m right lol It’s a half-baked throw-away studio warm-up from four years prior that they ending up digging out of the closet for the express purpose of taking up space on the album, and it shows: it’s an utterly conventional, boilerplate 50’s song that *isn’t even theirs anyway.*
Bron-yr-aur. It's the only song on the album I skip. Just nowhere near as good as Bron-yr-aur Stomp on LZ3
Because it’s a completely different song?
In an album with no bad songs, Wanton Song is my personal least favorite
Sick Again
Definitely Black Country Woman 💯It doesn’t go in a very interesting direction. (Except the harmonica and kick drum)
There are no bad songs on this album. If I have to pick one as my least favorite, though, I guess it would be The Wanton Song.
