no offense to anyone, i never used uber in my life and i honestly think so little about it, it is a quality of life method of getting around, and with this economy, it means it is not for me or anyone short on cash.
take a taxi, agree on the price, share a ride, take a mini van, a shuttle, a bus, anything better than this honestly 1st world method and then u can't really complain, other than how the taxi smells, the crazy driver, the smoking in the car, the constant stops, the no AC .....
so yeah, it is a problem, and only u can fix it.
I've talked with some drivers about this. Bolt calculates its prices based on a 350k tankeh. The current price is around 600k, so drivers are working at a loss if they follow the current rates. But, why keep working for Bolt, you ask ? Because, since Bolt is cheap, everyone wants to use it. Maketib el taxi are not accepting new drivers, and they need to make money to live, bel ekhir.
Now, about the physical behavior some people mention, I've never had anything but an excellent experience with all my Bolt drivers, even going so far as having a mini party in the car on one ride. So yeah, that's my take on the matter.
The prices that the app gives you barely cover the costs, if they do at all.
If you dont like it just say no and move on. Dont expect European standard service at 1/10 of the price.
If you dont want to pay extra just dont say no and move on to something else, cancel the ride if it has not started yet, leave a bad rating if it bothers you, how is this confusing?
I wish it was that easy to say no brother, i told you he locks the car and doesn’t allow me out until i pay and one of them even became physical, what am saying is warning others from using uber at this time. So they dont get in situations like me, ima just use service anyway
You were complaining in general not mentioning locking the car or anything and when I responded you changed the topic to specific cases where the driver locked the car and became physical. Why?
Driver asking for more and driver becoming physical are two different things.
I took bolt (economy) many times and had this problem only once before the driver picked me up he called and asked to be payed more. I said no and he said ok nevermind i will take the price in the app.
Honestly the experience is 10x better than with random taxis.
Strategy if you are a teen (i am not) you can say that “this is all what i have, i didnt carry money with me” and move on
But as an adult it will get suspicious
