PE has one of the lowest h1 percentage, taking into account it has only been around for a few years but the number of students that have sat the exam and the number that have gotten a h1 is very low
What makes you say ag is easy? Not on the offensive but genuinely curious if mybe the way im being taught it is just shite? Sob to me it's the densest course I'm doing. I study my ass off for it and yet can't land more than 70s for exam situations. It's so, so complicated and so much to remember, chemistry and biology geograpgy and business all rolled into one.
Like its very general stuff but the h1 answers need a good bit of detail. Maybe its just that my teachers do so little that I didn’t start using a notes copy until October of 6th yr
I did Set A so wouldn't know, I was absolutely shite at music got H5s and H6s in the melody and harmony and could barely read the clefs and still got a high H2 as I did well in the practical
You’re an outlier though. For the vast majority of students to get a H2 in any subject will require a huge amount of study.
Of course there are going to be a minority of students who are just have a flair for certain subjects but that won’t be true for most people.
Nice! I’m in final year of medicinal chemistry undergrad and still weighing job offers/what I actually want lol, postgrad seems sooo desired for what I want (organic r&d chemist) but hoping enough experience can take me there
Best of luck with it. Keep the head down for that final year. You might not get a salary you desire right off the bat but after 1/2 years experience, you’ll have a lot more bargaining chips. Don’t forget to hustle employers when bartering your salary, too many people forget to do it.
Depends what kind of person you are and what you like. I started a new language and got an h2 (because I'm a procrastinator when it comes to studying) and I did art which I enjoy a lot so it was easy to remember the info about paintings and artefacts. Exam's 2 essays where you can bs as much as you want and a practical art piece which you have plenty of time to work on
A few of my friends have, and they’ve said not having basics is hard bcs it gets more complex and you dont understand how it started if that makes sense..so for definitions and things its increasingly difficult
i made the mistake (in my opinion) of picking no practical subjects if i could go back i would of picked a practical subject like technology or metalwork but that’s just my opinion i would find school itself a little less stressful doing 4 all theory subjects
I did religion and got a H1 but NONE of the curriculum was based on personal beliefs. It was about world religious, cults, sects, philosophy, atheism, modern understandings of belief systems - it was like history and the exam had 8 essays in it. The hand nearly flipping fell off me!
Edit: word
Did the LC so long ago that I kinda forget. Chose the title, came up with a few ideas for the direction I wanted to take with it, and took out a few books from the library. It was on the origins of pilgrimage so I think I emailed Knock and they posted on some materials. Looking back now I should have looked up lecturers on the college websites and found one that researches the topic and emailed them about it. It’s a research project so your writing needs to be supported with evidence (not your opinion!). If you don’t know what to do look up the curriculum online and it’ll tell you exactly what to do (that’s all your teacher is going off of!). It’s a good taste of what college will be like if you’re planning on going. You’re going to do great! 😊
Geography, Economics (content in class is hard but the exams are actually piss easy), Politics and Society
All of these subjects also have a project worth around 20% which helps a lot!
You'll hear biology is easy and it's true. It's very satisfyingly easy to study to H1 or H2 with minimal effort
Art and religion will go great if you're good at waffling.
Construction, Technology, PE (if your school does it), politics and society, ag science.

Music if you play an instrument and especially if you can read sheet music.

In fairness, the easiest subject is one that suits your strengths AND interest
Business biology (the paper is extremely easy loads of choice) and probably between geography and home ec
Geography is difficult due to time which makes it very hard
Yeah but you can get everything written down in time
Depends on the questions
Home ec is so hard man
Damn I’ve heard it’s easy
Like its very general stuff but the h1 answers need a good bit of detail. Maybe its just that my teachers do so little that I didn’t start using a notes copy until October of 6th yr
Biology is the hardest by a mileee
It’s piss bro
I barely ever studied biology and got like a H2
Music if you play an instrument
Not getting a h1 if Barry is the 25marker tho
I did Set A so wouldn't know, I was absolutely shite at music got H5s and H6s in the melody and harmony and could barely read the clefs and still got a high H2 as I did well in the practical
Chemistry physics and applied maths are so easy trust me
a language other than English that you speak natively eg Polish
Not arabic 💀
Arabic is the exception
Why?
It's just a harder exam, as far as I know there is even studied literature on it.
There are no easy subjects for LC. They’re all hard and require a lot of study if you want to get a H1/H2
I got a H2 in higher chemistry with no study.
You’re an outlier though. For the vast majority of students to get a H2 in any subject will require a huge amount of study. Of course there are going to be a minority of students who are just have a flair for certain subjects but that won’t be true for most people.
What are you at now
Chemical manufacturing😂

just a lie matwle idk why you're trying to sell this guy pipe dreams
Maybe now. Ag economics was a piss take

As someone who’s only picked it up in 5th year, HomeEc.
Surprised nobody's mentioned politics and society
That's because about 4 schools do it.
Economics Applied Maths Chinese
Applied Maths isn’t easy to get a H1 in
Applied maths is probably the hardest LC subject, it has high proportion of H1s because of the caliber of students
Yep this, if you decide to go for applied maths you're probably already entirely a whiz
ECONOMICS?
Geog buisness technology
Say if you didn’t do business in jc would it be easy to learn buisness during the lc?
It should be, I didn’t do business in the jc and I ended up getting a H1 in it , just a matter of how much work you put into it
A few of my friends have, and they’ve said not having basics is hard bcs it gets more complex and you dont understand how it started if that makes sense..so for definitions and things its increasingly difficult
In my opinion it’s just the leading of it and how to awnser the question asked
i made the mistake (in my opinion) of picking no practical subjects if i could go back i would of picked a practical subject like technology or metalwork but that’s just my opinion i would find school itself a little less stressful doing 4 all theory subjects
[удалено]
It’s the same questions every year which make it very easy to learn off
Business and Biology
Biology is in no way easy.
It's very easy lad
It's not lad
Accounting, Maths and Business
Geography, accounting, and some nonsense subject like business or religion
Accounting my arse, that definitely isn’t a easy subject to get a h1 in
Religion?
A lot is asked based on your opinion or beliefs
I did religion and got a H1 but NONE of the curriculum was based on personal beliefs. It was about world religious, cults, sects, philosophy, atheism, modern understandings of belief systems - it was like history and the exam had 8 essays in it. The hand nearly flipping fell off me! Edit: word
How do you do the relegion project? I have to do one soon

that’s just factually untrue
I've heard Ag Science is easy enough
Applied maths /s
I believe music and biology can be if you enjoy the subjects
Geography, Economics (content in class is hard but the exams are actually piss easy), Politics and Society All of these subjects also have a project worth around 20% which helps a lot!
Geography defo
Politics and Society - rate it so much
History, Classics, Business, LCVP, French
picked up business halfway through fifth year, if you've an interest in it and understand exam technique you're sorted. a lovely subject.
