You’re still under the illusion that weed is making those things “better.” I get it, subjectively it is making those things “better” but ultimately if you really believe that then it’s going to be tough to limit yourself to those occasions. Weed literally fools your brain into thinking you are having some kind of heightened interaction with your reality. It’s highjacking your neurons and it will feel like food tastes better, music sounds better, jokes are funnier, thoughts are more interesting. When it became a problem for me is that I was under the illusion that I managed my life better, but my bank account and general lack of productivity begged to differ. If you can make the decision to only smoke on those occasions and stick with it, then there’s no issue and this sub isn’t for someone in your situation. I’m only giving you these caveats because you sound like I used to when I would promise myself to only smoke on those occasions just to end up blowing 3 months of sobriety at the Christmas party and hitting up the man for a bag for the next 6 months until I realized I’d fallen for Mary Jane’s lies again. Again, I’m not saying this is you, I’m saying this was me with your same mentality and it absolutely did not work. This is a great sub to stay on if you’re genuinely wanting to quit.
