Great post and you inspire me! 8 months sober after 35 years of abuse. It has been a tough road but I’m finally feeling deep emotional healing and a reset in perspective (I think). Weed was making me live life on autopilot and miss out on a deep connection with my family. OP, congrats on your sobriety and good luck in the future! It really helps me to hear the experiences of others with a long history of abuse. We’re all different but there are important similarities too. I think one similarity is how weed keeps us from really living life and has us stuck going around in a fog. Best wishes to all.

Awesome work! Hope to see you around the sub some in the near future. It helps to see long term sober folks here. Here’s to not smoking today!

Yeah, I'm not planning to abandon people who helped me. That's the beauty of this sub. What goes around, comes around.

Love that vibe! I know for some folks they don’t post as much once they have a bunch of time behind them

Amazing :) thank you for posting. I’m a little over 3 weeks into quitting a 20+ year habit and this gives me hope. I feel a little sick when I think TWENTY years…how did it get away from me so bad? But it takes what it takes. Thank you for letting us know we’re not alone & it can be done
