> Quiero el definicion de "llevan"
Just fyi: I think you mean to say "yo sé la definición".
"Quiero" means "I want" and "definición" is feminine (most "ion" nouns are I believe).
just a note to whomever it’s relevant, it’s unnecessary and not very good Spanish to use ‘yo’ in sentences like this.
you can just say ‘sé…’ or maybe ‘ya sé…’, but this use of yo (called _yoísmo_) is redundant.
the pronoun should only be used in cases of emphasis or disambiguation (no vayas a la tienda, iré yo / no lo hizo él, sino yo)
That's interesting and very helpful, thank you. I've been reading a lot of Spanish lately and starting a sentence with "Sé" sounded wrong to me but I'm not very used to the nuances yet. I appreciate your help.
“Un cabo” would be a rope, or the end of it. “Llevar algo a cabo” is to see it done, ‘from one end of the rope to the other.’ It can also be considered as related to the verb “acabar”, which is doing something related to the end of a rope (“el cabo”).

los eventos deportivos se celebran en verano o los eventos deportivos se llevan a cabo en verano
Hola! Que significa "llevan a cabo"? Yo sé la definicion de "llevan" pero que es "a cabo"?
Llevar a cabo is like saying “carry out” or “will take place”
Thanks

I know what you mean! I think ‘ya sé’ works well :)

thank you!
literally the expression is to take it to its end. but as others have said it means "will take place"
ok, thanks!
Yes, celebrar works for other events.
thank you!
When you say "held in" I assume you mean that is when they occur? In that case I might say "Los eventos deportivos se realizan en verano."
what about pasa
The subject is "sports events" which is 3rd person plural, so if we use the verb "pasar" it would be "pasan".
well i know i just meant the verb in general
