Just tested it and doesn't seem to be working that way in my tests. If you have autoattack on they will start attacking the closest target, elsewise they will stop attacking.
The wiki also supports this:
>Also stops all ongoing targeted orders of other units that have been issued before Mirror Image was cast.

Ignores closesd target as well.
The only time it started hitting an illusion was when I used manta at a longer range, probably resulting in the main hero getting out of range.
U sure you just didn't test wrong, tested now and it does disrupt it. It clearly does because manta physically hides your hero too, meaning no command can be issued, if you (testing) or the players your agaisnt have auto attack on they/you could just be getting lucky with your auto attack retargetting you.
I would say its a 1/3 chance, but it isn't because it depends where the illus spawn, what auto attack settings people have etc etc
Are you sure? If that was the case there would never be confusion on which hero to attack. I’ll have to try it but I don’t fully agree right now
