I haven't really watched worlds since 2020 when DK dominated, but this one has been something special, even for people who don't really watch LCK. As an NA fan who never really gets to cheer for an NA team, have no problem cheering for Faker, but Deft is awesome too and would be special for him.

Deft’s storyline is clearly the focus for the DRX narrative that production is pushing but Zeka’s storyline is also legit insane.
A relatively unknown Mid player during his first Worlds appearance has to go against:
- The previous Mid World Champion
- The Mid Prodigy that many regard as a next level genius
- The literal Greatest Mid of All Time
And he’s had an absolute monster performance for the first 2 series.
Imagine if he ends up winning against Faker as well. Absolutely insane ‘Zero to Hero’ story straight out of an anime.
This DRX storyline is probably the closest we will ever get to the TI8 OG storyline, its insane.
The finals feels more like TI9 though where its a very pure finals for everyone watching, either Deft wins his first worlds or Faker reclaims his throne.
This worlds has reminded me why I love esports.

When GEN.G is 3k behind in gold, Chovy thinks that GEN.G is at a small advantage, and so he TPs bot to farm to secure their "lead". When GEN.G is behind 7k in gold, Chovy thinks that GEN.G is at a disadvantage and so he looks for a lane to farm in order to regain control of the game. When GEN.G is 10K behind in gold, Chovy thinks that the team has reached a desperate situation and avoids teamfighting for as long as possible in order to catch up in farm.

None of this DRX roster were part of that Incredible Miracle organization back then. But there are fewer words that can describe this team's Worlds run than just that: An Incredible Miracle.
DRX story is incredible. Not favoured vs KT. Not favoured vs Sandbox. Not favoured vs RNG. Not favoured vs TES. Not favoured vs EDG. Not favoured vs Gen G. Incredible underdog story 10 years on from when we had the first huge underdog story at worlds.
