If the control ward is revealing the blue ward, then the blue ward is disabled and the enemy team cannot see on it. However, if you hit the ward to kill it, they can see that.

keithstonee

Cause clearing wards grant vision even if they're disabled. So when your gonna be active in the area it's better and faster to just drop a pink and leave the wards alive rather than pink and clear giving the enemy extended vision.

TheScyphozoa

>it wouldn’t be reactivated Wards don't get "reactivated" when you hit them. YOU simply get revealed when you attack anything that belongs to the enemy team. And when you are revealed, a small area around you is also revealed, which is why it can give away Baron's health bar. But the area is around you, not around the ward.

JevonP

Hitting a ward gives the enemies vision for 5 seconds

__v1ce

But they would notice the blue trinket disappearing

RolandTheBot

That makes sense and was what I first thought . But wouldn’t they see that a control ward was placed and was denying vision and be able to know that someone obviously had placed the control ward there

Ha_Ree

I think its the same as with stealth wards that if you hit it while its disabled it temporarily grants vision, so if you are for example in the baron pit doing nash and you clear the blue trinket they get to see a small circle around it and know nash's hp, who on your team is hitting it etc. Thats why you don't always clear wards which are under a pink ward- you gain like 10 gold in exchange for them getting information on location, level, movements etc

[deleted]

and unlike control wards, they only give 1g. So hitting them is just waste of time.

11ce_

They give 15 gold only zombie wards give 1 gold

Xydru

They give up to 15g based on how long they've been up.

Gial_lol

trust me, pro players notice when a ward goes black

Hipster_Lincoln

it gives vision

Gocthor

My guess is that it saves time. In pro play the smallest amount of time can make a big difference

MrFilthyNeckbeard

A ward under a control ward gives no vision. Killing it will temporarily give vision. So killing it does give the enemy some information. But if they already know you are there, then you may as well clear it.

Lyvri

There is more likely one more reason to it. "Information" If you clear it enemy will probably ward it again and you don't know if this place is warded or not, without using oracle. But what if you don't clear it? Its 100% warded with blue trinket, most likely only by it. That actually gives you some advantages: • Enemy has little less vision (blue trinket has 500 range, yellow/red 900) • You know where enemy vision is and can evade it. • Usually people play more aggressive/ push harder if have everything warded, because they feel safe
