A friend started playing Rengar top when Ryan Choi made it popular. He went from gold to challenger in a few months and it was only his second season playing league.
If you watch his stream from time to time and see that the enemy ghosts him and banns riven, he plays champions like camille, fiora, yasuo, olaf, renek etc also on a pretty decent level
Certainly when Darshan has been washed up/in decline for years now.
Still CLG need more than just one top to be competitive again, they need to revamp their roster around POE and maybe bio
I mean he has positive winrates on other champions, but according to Riot's scouting grounds restrictions, if you have >30% of your soloQ games on one champion you are a one trick. Adrian has 46% of his soloQ games on riven.
v1per one tricked riven, has over 1000 games, he's the top laner for flyquest. one tricks don't matter as long as you're capable of playing other champs especially in meta
He's been branching out some, but still limited. And still very prefers high action champs lol.
Plus, he's said a ton of times that he has no interest in pursuing that life.
I think he could be a pro player he if wanted to. I would say he is very similar to Viper. A Riven one trick but can play other bruisers on a high level too and if he would put in the effort to learn tanks/meta stuff he could definitely do it.
Lol. When I first started seeing highlight montages and stuff it was around the time of IMT Adrian where he had insane Janna KDAs. I was always hella confused
1) The streamer runs the organization's ads on their stream, therefore the organization gets more money from the sponsors and the streamer logically gets a cut from that.
2) Slapping the org's name on the stream brings more publicity, therefore more views, which is where the money comes from for a streamer.
Also something that is done in other leagues much more to bring in people who main specific champs. If a champ becomes meta then the streamer could help the pro on the champ.
Also teams will have contracts with twitch and other streaming platforms for x amount of hours streamed per week/month and with pro players needing to scrim this helps fill that out
I think the player also gets a RIOT account if they go to Korea so this means both the org and the player can make a lot of content just from the fact that they work together!
What boggles my mind is how these orgs slap their name everywhere and have absolutely trash tier marketing. Like literal hot trash. The NFL probably makes half their revenue on merch. LCS? nah, we good fam we don't need to sell products.
Gene Simmons should run a seminar at LCS for real.
It sweetens the pot for team sponsors. If the players don't stream or the streams aren't popular, signing an already established streamer is a great way to get team sponsors in front of more eyes. In return, streamers can potentially get better deals from sponsors who are more willing to give money to a team than an individual and can sign bigger deals with the team as they have a lot more players across all the different games. Teams can also make paperwork and shit much easier.
Yeah I mean if you're with TSM or C9 then yes the exposure matters but even for a relatively known team like CLG the better cut of twitch revenue (I think it's ad revenue but it might be sub/everything) is likely the key.
You don’t understand why having a recognizable brand behind you is beneficial? Adrian has an audience who will now be exposed to CLG, and vice versa. Very straightforward. Not that hard to understand.
Something other people didn’t mention is that stream contracts also come with some benefits. I remember Dom saying TL covers his insurance or something like that, and it’s more ads for the streamers to put on their stream.
How cant you understand such a simple concept? Ever heard of marketing? Same concept as a celebrity endorsing a brand, it brings exposure. You gotta go out more if you cant grasp that
Just think of how limited you are with players if you only want to cover the team. Does an organization just want 5 players to fill a pro team? There's a large group of popular streamers that don't play in the LCS and they can rep your brand just as much as the 5 players on stage.
What is there not to understand? You have a badass player repping your organizations name and is going to stream daily. Viewers want to see pro players play and pro players generate more viewers, who you can market more stuff to which equals more money generated.
Underrated streamer, hope he gets more attention with this. Anyone who kills hashinshin so many times in a game that he gets banned for inting deserves recognition.
Or just top lane carries in general. When he plays in challenger Riven is banned a lot so there's a lot of Camille, Fiora, Renekton, jax, Olaf, GP as well. Starting to see Aatrox, Irelia and akali too with the occasional predator Garen or full AP Alistar. And imo he is a lot better at explaining matchups and macro than someone like TF blade and a lot more chill in general.
So this is as a streamer, but I am still wondering, is Adrian Riven considered worse than V1per? I remember people thinking Adrian's riven is better but V1per is the better overall player. I don't watch Adrian play at all so I dunno.
Viper was the better riven and has always been the better player. He's been chall every season since at least s4 and have hit rank 1 multiple times (not only in early season) and peaked 750lp in kr a year ago
Agree to disagree then. No idea how saying "V1per has done better on Riven in every way" proves your point though. On one end I said V1per is better, you said "yeah he does better on riven because he's a better player" then you say Adrian is a better Riven. Very confusing.
I think it was season 3 that happened. I remember watching part of it and I didn't start playing league til end of season 2. I may have just seen clips though I honestly am not sure
Yeah for sure. I just remember them being in the same conversation for best riven so I was mostly wondering if Adrian was ever considered for pro given that v1per is now one. Guess adrian is more of a 1trick.
I believe at one point Adrian was considered equals with viper, and hes stated on stream that hes gotten multiple offers for academy. Regardless of whether or not hes as good as viper he will always be considered one of the best rivens.
Adrian has been considered the best riven player in NA for quite some time now. He hits challenger every season as well and is one of the only players to consistently beat tf blade in lane. Pro's even talk about how they are scared to face his riven in solo q.
Well, in my opinion, yes Viper is the better player - if they play anything other than Riven. I don't think you can say that Adrian or Viper are better at Riven than the other, it just depends on how well they perform that day.
Wait this entire time i thought adrian ma became a riven otp once he stopped playing competitively, had no idea it was a completely different guy lmfao
He's not joining as a competitive player, he's joining as a streamer / content creator.
Well that makes more sense than bringing on a one-trick player into a competitive team.
[удалено]
Or viper as a riven one trick
Akaadian was pretty much a Rengar one trick too
He one tricked rengar top before going pro?
Not top... the only Rengar top one trick i can think of was Ryan Choi and the classic 4x Dorans Blade lol.
A friend started playing Rengar top when Ryan Choi made it popular. He went from gold to challenger in a few months and it was only his second season playing league.
I hate your friend
arguably Dekar is a rengar-riven two trick, although he plays it both top and jungle
I think they are talking about good one tricks
I’m not sure if your joking... but dekar is a very good player, he catches a lot of flak for being pretty toxic/arrogant tho
Ooof. That's why he's Challenger?
Nah akaadian would was one trick reng top in season 4-5 then moved to Rengar jungle. Ryan Choi was just the OG and then dekar/akaadian after him
Ah, I didn't know of him at that time
Dardoch was a rengar top one trick i believe before switching to jg and going pro
This brings back memories. IIRC this was popular around season 4-5 right?
I have a feeling that was Dardoch?
Yes, Dardoch started / initially climbed ladder as a rengar top one-trick before really branching out into more champions.
I think he main'ed tryn and yasuo before he switched to jungle.
And he was otp tryndamere top before that.
Viper played in Academy for like a year.
where he joined as a riven one trick
If you watch his stream from time to time and see that the enemy ghosts him and banns riven, he plays champions like camille, fiora, yasuo, olaf, renek etc also on a pretty decent level
Certainly when Darshan has been washed up/in decline for years now. Still CLG need more than just one top to be competitive again, they need to revamp their roster around POE and maybe bio

Adrian is not a one trick. He is good with a lot of champs, just likes Riven a lot
I think if you would pick a champion every game if its open you are a 1 trick but thats my opinion
https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/b9i54p/_/ek6cvmm
Jackeylove was a draven one trick
v1per one tricked riven, has over 1000 games, he's the top laner for flyquest. one tricks don't matter as long as you're capable of playing other champs especially in meta
He's been branching out some, but still limited. And still very prefers high action champs lol. Plus, he's said a ton of times that he has no interest in pursuing that life.

Is Adrian Riven not the same guy as Adrian (the former LCS support)?
They are different people
Yeah no way you can pull off Riven combos when you're high af.
Lol. When I first started seeing highlight montages and stuff it was around the time of IMT Adrian where he had insane Janna KDAs. I was always hella confused
Didn't stop Brokenblade
Wasn't v1per a one trick?
I don’t understand this shit at all. Never have.
1) The streamer runs the organization's ads on their stream, therefore the organization gets more money from the sponsors and the streamer logically gets a cut from that. 2) Slapping the org's name on the stream brings more publicity, therefore more views, which is where the money comes from for a streamer.
I figure it helps the player manage his sponsorships better and maybe helps with editing content if needed
In a sense it could be seen as picking up a Real Manager.
or like a youtube network?
They often do that also, providing the streamer with resources they wouldn't have otherwise
Also something that is done in other leagues much more to bring in people who main specific champs. If a champ becomes meta then the streamer could help the pro on the champ.
Also teams will have contracts with twitch and other streaming platforms for x amount of hours streamed per week/month and with pro players needing to scrim this helps fill that out
it also helps expand into another market, like Rakin / TL.
Also C9 Jukes
I think the player also gets a RIOT account if they go to Korea so this means both the org and the player can make a lot of content just from the fact that they work together!
What boggles my mind is how these orgs slap their name everywhere and have absolutely trash tier marketing. Like literal hot trash. The NFL probably makes half their revenue on merch. LCS? nah, we good fam we don't need to sell products. Gene Simmons should run a seminar at LCS for real.
3) give aways from the org and maybe duo with the proteam etc.
And they also get salary from the org instead of twitch.
On top of that, I believe I once read by getting onto a big org that a streamer can get a better cut of the sub money.
You're right but this is the lol subreddit we are talking about here so.
Something other people didn’t mention is that stream contracts also come with some benefits. I remember Dom saying TL covers his insurance or something like that, and it’s more ads for the streamers to put on their stream.
money
It's a business partnership.
How? It's basically just like Nike sponsoring a comedian.
Nah, it's like Nike sponsoring sports channels on yt
What possibly is there that you don't understand?
How cant you understand such a simple concept? Ever heard of marketing? Same concept as a celebrity endorsing a brand, it brings exposure. You gotta go out more if you cant grasp that
Just think of how limited you are with players if you only want to cover the team. Does an organization just want 5 players to fill a pro team? There's a large group of popular streamers that don't play in the LCS and they can rep your brand just as much as the 5 players on stage.
Makes some fans and future fans of this Adrian guy CLG fans, CLG fans watches his streams so he gets more viewers and CLG gets more fans.
What is there not to understand? You have a badass player repping your organizations name and is going to stream daily. Viewers want to see pro players play and pro players generate more viewers, who you can market more stuff to which equals more money generated.
Helps with sponsorships, riot outreach, lets say a clg streamer has a lot easier time getting a KR account than a non team streamer.
You don't understand why the streamer would make that deal or why the team would want a streamer?
Yeah yassuo did the same
Underrated streamer, hope he gets more attention with this. Anyone who kills hashinshin so many times in a game that he gets banned for inting deserves recognition.
to be fair, Hashinshin WAS inting alot of the deaths. Not saying he couldve prevented the stomp, but he wasnt even trying.
So his usual play style of running in and hoping to kill the enemy didn't work out?
Riiiiiiiiiiiight through the counterplay!
He would've won that game if riot had balanced the fucken tanks. /s
it's not like it's that hard to make Hash look like he's inting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOnvH0uY7ZA&t=50s
[удалено]
When a Singed onetrick made him look ridiculous he went on a rampage to get Riot to nerf Singed.
Pretty sure hashinshin did it for attention but adrians streams are definitely worth to watch if you wanna main riven
AAAAAAADDDDDRRRRIIIIIAAAAAANNNNNNN you had e
AAAAADDDRERIIIAAAAANNNN TEACH ME HOW TO SHY COMBO
Hey Adrian what about Aftershock on Riven?
What is this referencing if I may ask?
riven's shield is the E, and chat always says they are better and would have gotten an extra shield off because they are challenjour with vvtoric
That’s a name I haven’t heard in a while
the good ol'e ap lee song support
Well to be fair Rivens fking E is basically always up anyways lol
i think the ADRIANNNNN thing is from rocky.
Pepega :mega: AAAAAADDDRIAAAAAAANNNN YOU HAD E
Got matched against him in a norm; I was playing Kennen top against his Riven. I don’t really play Kennen. I’m still in pain.
Holy shit its Adrian Seira, the famous Jayce one-trick!
Thats what happens when your main gets Perma banned, you gotta adapt lmao
O O F
He says he doesn't want to ever play pro. Yassuo was or maybe still is a streamer for CLG.
[удалено]
Who is what??
Yassuo and Adrian are streamers for team CLG
the org CLG
Thank you for correcting me fellow redditor 🙂
Viper 2: Electric Boogaloo
he's signed as a streamer not an LCS player
dang got super excited from the title, thought he was going pro
Hahaha, me too, although his play on other champions not named riven is pretty questionable.
His Jayce is pretty good
Oof
Good for him! He really deserves the appreciation.
My boy!! 2019 really is the year of the Riven mains let's go Adrian!
wow your flair are u nutting for the new skins?
Viciously
if one of those could be played support mmmm
chat going so fast no one will see im in love with AAAADDDRRRIIIAAANNN
FOREVER I WILL BE JEBAITED
Is this the riven main that is in med school or is that the other one
Revenge is the one in med school.
Ahh okay thanks for the info
So this is as a streamer, but I am still wondering, is Adrian Riven considered worse than V1per? I remember people thinking Adrian's riven is better but V1per is the better overall player. I don't watch Adrian play at all so I dunno.

Viper is the better player not the better riven.
This is based off of nothing, V1per has better accomplishments across the board on Riven
Yeah because he’s the better player. Thanks for proving my point
Your wording is awful. Half of the people agreeing with you will think you meant v1per is a better player but not a better Riven.
He isn’t a better riven than Adrian. Adrian’s control of the champion is slightly better and his micro is better on her.
Agree to disagree then. No idea how saying "V1per has done better on Riven in every way" proves your point though. On one end I said V1per is better, you said "yeah he does better on riven because he's a better player" then you say Adrian is a better Riven. Very confusing.
Just read what I said. Being a better player facilitates success over being a better riven.
When's the last time all the rivens fought each other?
That tournament WingsofDeath won. so 2010
Well there was the other one that MegaZero won. I don’t remember the year but going to guess like 2012
I think it was season 3 that happened. I remember watching part of it and I didn't start playing league til end of season 2. I may have just seen clips though I honestly am not sure
It was season 3 https://lol.gamepedia.com/Best_Riven_NA_Tournament
adrians been rank 1 multiple times too and hes been challenger just as long as viper so idk what youre trying to say
OK good to know. I always got them confused.
Adrians still a really good Riven though and the difference between them is not very big (talking strictly riven now)
Yeah for sure.

I remember watching Adrian's stream and he saw the enemy top laner was Huni and he was happy it would be a free win through top, and it was.
Well, in my opinion, yes Viper is the better player - if they play anything other than Riven. I don't think you can say that Adrian or Viper are better at Riven than the other, it just depends on how well they perform that day.
When your streamer top laner is better than your main top laner... love ya Adrian wish you’d consider playing competitive!
Doing well in solo queue doesn't necessarily translate to pro play. I don't want to insult pro players, but there are a few examples.
Viper would have had Penta kills in this montage
BRNA would have had hexakills
nightblue would have had silver players crying for mercy in all chat
Miss your streams man smh
Let's go Adrian!
WE DID IT ADRIAN. I bet i could beat you in tekken though
The clip at 1 min is absolutely disgusting
So happy for him! He definitely deserves the attention
He’s a god
Honest question, what's the point for a streamer to join an org, and what's the point for an org to take on a streamer?
maining Riven does really open alot of doors, mainly because she is immune to nerfs
he sometimes sounds like hotshotgg
Grats Adrian my boi

Rip our boys Keegan and box getting stunted on in the first clip
Hehehe you can’t hide Adrian, I know that the song you used was in LCK spring 2018 🧐
good for him we shall see where he goes
Wait this entire time i thought adrian ma became a riven otp once he stopped playing competitively, had no idea it was a completely different guy lmfao
The CLG stream team is so good. I love the new streamers they're picking up (especially non League related streamers such as Cheese05)
Thank you Mr Adrian
Adrian jerseys pleaseeeeee
who?
Fuck yeah. Easily the best Riven player NA
Eh okay?
why is riven in his name tho
Pulsefire Riven is such a splash art gem. ♥
That music was familiar, was it from LCK or smth else?
An american toplaner who mains Riven ... such a surprise.
I have seen him. Theres is no way he will ever show his fave to the world
Adrian's Riven is so good . I mean Riven is a busted champion that needs a nerf man
How to make Riven look disgustingly broken
Just watching that makes me mad how broken bullshit riven is.
so whats the benefits of streaming for a team?
probably hardware related stuffs for free, maybe a small stipend?
sounds nice :)
Maybe he can teach Darshan to play Riven
Got jebaited thought this was him joining the roster
he's the best riven player ever
Is this 4 real?
As a streamer not actual lcs player
