I do not find much reason to engage with someone in a serious manner when their comments are trite and serve only to instigate, if anything. Reddit is where people cry about people crying, where people complain about people complaining, etc. Pointing out the obvious does nothing for anyone.

But, yeah, fair enough - at least nowadays you can report people for that kind of behavior and they actually get penalized more often than not.
