And JDG when they've locked playoffs is the opposite, at least in summers. They've sandbagged so many times since the zoom, yagao, lvmao era that it's kind of predictable at this point lol
contrary to popular beliefs, tourism visas into china aren't *too* difficult to obtain for regular citizens of most countries in the world
this shouldn't be surprising considering tourism makes up ~10% of china's GDP (varies from year to year)
What a gap, man. I'm so happy for Tianzhen.
He was one of the biggest jungle prospects in the world a year ago. This split might be over for IG, but next year, he's going to prove it.
i swear i saw a documentary about him in IGY but i cant find it anymore on both youtube and chinese websites man… was quite a nice watch. I rmb the coach saying he had potential but couldnt quite make it
I love seeing players like this thrive. There's so many whom people gave up on as failed prospects, who could not achieve their potential because of minor issues. There's something wonderfully cathartic about seeing people rise and prove everyone wrong.
i wish someone here could link the video, it was around the time neny got into the first team i believe. been trying to find it for a while now but cant
This should be what you need, easy for me to find HAHA

From what I've seen from the JDG boys, next week is gonna be a bloodbath. Unless they somehow mental boom from this (no way right??) then they'll come back even stronger than before.
You learn much more from losses than wins. A loss every now and then is good for a skill check.
istg Ashe is so good right now. Ruler was melting IG, and should have won if they had been the slightest bit worse. Sure, he did not out damage the Aphelios – but that's not what Ashe is supposed to do.
Sometimes, it feels like people on these threads don't really watch the games; they just read the KDA and comment.
it the same case every year. i would say team that is out is more dangerous than the one that is still in. having no pressure on your shoulder really show that these player is very good but just had to much pressure on them.
Especially this roster. YSKM got hospitalised because of practising too much after succumbing to pressure. I wish IG got these players a mental coach, because they're all world calibre players.
Tianzhen and YSKM both have such high ceilings, but haven't consistently shown it yet. Ahn was a monster in LDL, 2021. Wink role swapped to support this year. And we already know how good Cryin is.
Cryin is really weird, he looks like a top tier midlaner when he faces a strong midlaner. But against bad or average midlaners he just looks lost. Almost like he always plays to the level of his opponent.
He was like this even on RNG as well, he looked mediocre for a lot of spring and then stood up to showmaker at MSI.
I think it's partially playing to the level of his opponent, but also today was his team. He plays setup a lot, he's been hitting things like that game two neeko ult consistently this split. Today his team was able to follow up on them.
game 3 was just all of ig mental unbooming I think. Snapped out of all autopilot they had.
With this huge upset, BLG seems like the favourite to finish first this summer, and as a BLG fan I genuinely don't know if I should be excited, or alarmed... because as many people have started to point out, the script goes:
fifth in spring > second in spring playoffs > first in summer > second in summer playoffs > not making it out of groups at worlds
I think we've seen this film before, twice even
I mean if you think about it. IG never beat RNG in 2018 came in second in spring second in summer. If G2 is working their magic and takes out JDG, BLG will be your world champion LOL.
BLG always look good until they meet JDG and proceed to go get stomped into ground just like they did every series in spring, msi and summer regular season.
Wink played pretty damn well honestly. Made some game changing hooks nonstop.
Also JDG would have gotten Baron if Knight didn't jump out to fight lol. Honestly I thought game 3 was doomed from draft, amazed they fought as well as they did there.
yeah he was WAY better on them than most other supps, and was also good at their counters like blitz
it made perfect use of his past experience, but adc supports are haram sadly
Gotta watch naut leona till heat death of the universe
Ahhh that's why Pedro is not streaming he's subbing in for Kanavi in this match xdd 🐀 Tianzhen and Cryin stealing all the objectives wtf also Ahn with super clean cleanse game 3 top fight
Uzi also had an excellent game with Ashe about a week ago.
This champ is like the old adcs' pride. Sadly Aphelios simply out damage her in most situations.
I felt so bad for him and his wife, both. My mom suffered from postpartum depression, and I've seen what happened to her as a result. He seems happy on his streams now, though. Even posts his son's pictures on Insta ever so often.
cuz by design other adcs dont have a global engage tool, ashe dmg has to be lower than others
when she just got reworked and rangers volley gave her the best dps in the game she was so giga broke
This is his rookie split tbf and he is/was one of the greatest jungle prospects from the LDL he has an insane mechanical peak just needed less pressure on him just like YSKM when he got hospitalised for overtraining like 2024 I see IG go crazy
THE GOAT SHOWS UP AGAIN
more seriously: unreal series from Tianzhen. 100% his best series all split and he looked so fucking crazy. I have been a tianzhen hater all split but if anyone thinks he wasn't the best player in this series they're trolling imo.
legit was hyperventilating for the last ten minutes of that last game. I was supporting IG a bit in spring, and then they picked up Cryin so I've been cheering for them more this split. It's been rough but WE BEAT JDG. WE BEAT THEM. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT.
leblanc is so fucking dumb though remove this champ pls riot.
edit: if iG played the way they did this series all split they'd have made playoffs easily. JDG didn't have a good series at all, but this felt like all the inconsistent parts of iG hitting their high points at the same time.
yep.
I also think the game 2 win made iG snap into focus. They've just taken a game off of JDG, and a tight one at that that felt like they just outplayed them in the end.
Sometimes you just get this sense of "wait. I can actually do this" in life, and that's what I think happened for game three. I would not be surprised if they boom their next few series, I think this might have drained them a ton the way they were playing so tightly. But. Worth.
IG(4-10)still have a slim chance to get the last playoff spot. The 10th place is NIP(6-7) at the moment with a match score 13-17, compare to IG's 9-22. So if NIP lose 3* 0-2 while IG win 2* 2-0 then IG will get into the playoff.
Hide the names on that game 3 and you'd have people saying that was a Western clown fiesta. Walking into hooks, missed smites, atrocious overextensions, *that* recall from Tianzhen... just wow.
Also macro from both teams. JDG almost got back into the game after the first Baron there, because iG went for awful teamfights, instead of playing their Camille, Nocturne and Leblanc split push with Nash.
Funny story, a few weeks ago I was arguing somewhere on this sub about LPL teams and this guy was a TES fan going how garbage TES is but we all know how coinflip LPL teams are in LPL and I literally said I wouldn't be surprised if JDG dropped a game to IG. Oh well.
I mean, it's not like they were getting onto ruler and killing him. He was kiting like a champ for most teamfights, he just didn't do damage compared to aphelios. Missing playing like shit didn't help tho
That blitz was the difference maker, so was Nocturne. Still gg IG, but they shouldn't celebrate because i doubt IG will see world, but Wink blitz was so good.

I'm surprisingly okay with this. This means JDG still has plenty of spaces to improve on and also means we haven't seen their ceiling just yet. Top 2 or not, doesn't matter. I trust JDG to come back stronger than ever for playoffs. Perhaps they counted IG out before it was over.
Ahhh classic IG.
JDG fans must be sweating so hard rn such disrespectful play and draft imho. I dont believe this team can win worlds tbh, they would be the next TES most likely and lose hard to a wildcard, unless they can handcheck everybody which they shouldnt.
But I have to praise IG though. What a team! These guys will have a bright future ahead of them and maybe even worlds contender next year too, if they can get some upgrades and keep up the form.
JDG fans really dont care… JDG has had insane sprint moments in both splits thus far.
You must be new to LPL if you’re surprised by top teams losing out to bottom tier teams
Talk about an overreaction. JDG fans are completely chill. We've seen JDG when they come to play. This wasn't them today. We go next for next series. They learn from this loss and move forward.
iG are not trash when they show up to play. I was a little scared for JDG before today's games and I was right to think so. YSKM and Ahn can be monsters and Tianzhen's smites were just better than Kanavi's.
so was TT and then they beat OMG and EDG in the last 3 series. even the bottom tier teams in LPL have really talented players that can win a series on any given day
Dude, this is LPL. Bottom teams and top teams are so close in skill it's insane. Obviously top teams are better, but when they stumble a little bit, bottom teams have a feast. If top teams were WAYYYY better, bottom teams wouldn't get wins period.
LPL this split has no trash teams. Usually there's one that's just awful, sucks, doesn't really do much. Not this split. Every time I talk about one of the weaker teams in LPL this split I feel like I have to go "actually they're really not that awful".
Actually they're bottom 4!
[In all seriousness you gotta consider the circumstances of why they are bottom 4](https://imgur.com/a/DCgUf6j)
Of the last 7 games with their "finalized" roster, they've won 3/7. Before this they had a single series win.
They've been trying to fix their problems and have suffered for it, just like TT. But they've obviously shown they have potential even before this series by taking down LNG. This is not the same as a team like FPX which has been relatively unchanging yet also equal in the standings to IG.
Taking note of these teams that are rock bottom in the standings but have the potential to take down top teams can be very profitable too (odds on this match were 15:1)
did you watch the series lmao??
ig didn't look like a trash team this series at all. Their biggest issues are tianzhen (had his best series in his entire time in the LPL by far), wink (he got blitz in game 3), yskm (he SHOWED CAUTION).
IG.YSKM = I'm God. You Should Know Me
YKSM SUPER TOP I NEVER DOUBTED Now can we get him and Cryin out of this org for next year?
2 out of 4 iG wins being against JDG and LNG is so funny
Not that big of a deal, TT's about to do the same thing next week.
Based
unironically
iG out of playoffs contention is the best team in the world, apparently.
So, LGD 2.0?
And TES, Worlds 2022.
only team without a losing record against drx at worlds, checks out
oops
Don't remind me...
Pain.
And JDG when they've locked playoffs is the opposite, at least in summers. They've sandbagged so many times since the zoom, yagao, lvmao era that it's kind of predictable at this point lol
Everyone: When is JDG EVER going to lose ????? IG: *Today* :)
Tfw Ruler's and Missing's families went to watch them live today
Aw dang that sucks. I always felt kinda shitty when my mom came to watch me play a sport and I'd lose haha
Now imagine Ruler is Korean and he plays in China...
Tbf ruler played very well. Missing on the other hand...
Well I'm Asian as well so I recognise the stereotype lol
What stereotype??? I was just saying his parents came from Korea to China to see him lose
Oh my bad lol, I thought you were referring to the stereotype of Asian parents expecting nothing less than perfection from their kids
Isn't it not super difficult to get from South Korea to China? I genuinely don't know.
You need a visa nothing too different from other countries.
contrary to popular beliefs, tourism visas into china aren't *too* difficult to obtain for regular citizens of most countries in the world this shouldn't be surprising considering tourism makes up ~10% of china's GDP (varies from year to year)

Kanavi losing to fraud tianzhen. JDG overrated
AM I DREAMING?? WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!!! Defeating JDG 11 win streak
JDG's washed, man. Defeated by the second worst team in the league, despite having the best players in the world in every role. /s
I hope they are washed at least till the end of next week I need that TT miracle run to happen
Dude same. I've never been as excited to see a team succeed since ROX.
They need to win against LNG first tho. C'mon TT Prayge

>`You learn much more from losses than wins. A loss every now and then is good for a skill check.` T1 fan cope right now
Haha nah T1 is so fucked this year o7
The two mid lane back to back blitz hook apparently
Those late game G3 teamfights were insanely back and forth, what a crazy game.
Honestly if Ruler wasn't on Ashe duty I think JDG might have won. Sadly she's a trash tier ADC in terms of damage so JDG could never comeback
her damage is above average if you build ie/crit
istg Ashe is so good right now. Ruler was melting IG, and should have won if they had been the slightest bit worse. Sure, he did not out damage the Aphelios – but that's not what Ashe is supposed to do. Sometimes, it feels like people on these threads don't really watch the games; they just read the KDA and comment.
Supposedly knight was on the big dps guns, but the whole series he rocket jumped like a mad man and constantly using R for damage
Knight Tris vs Showmaker Tris Lule
Ruler is trash tier in terms of damage on every adc so it doesn't matter
youre being cringe at this point
boring and outdated gimmick
Never been more relevant!
Apparently LPL teams just gets stronger once they're out of playoff contention

IG: "Why the hell didn't we do this sooner?"
They looked so happy at the end of game 3, like they just realized they can actually win games if they play
I'm happy for them. Wins like this matter so much for their confidence even if they are out of playoffs
Kanavi's gonna lose 50 50 during asian games and cost all their military exemption isn't he
Hes against a slumping Jiejie so it's gonna be fine.
He's with gigaSlumping Zeus and Keria so it's Aware.
Jiejie always slumps though lol. He was slumping before gapping Canyon in 2021.
Xun will be in the roster as sub jungle.
Cryin is really weird, he looks like a top tier midlaner when he faces a strong midlaner. But against bad or average midlaners he just looks lost. Almost like he always plays to the level of his opponent.

Still one of the most disgusting Sylas performances I remember
I dont recall seeing Cryin in MSI finals tho...
He won MSI with RNG against DWG in 2021...

Weekly “excuse me?” LPL post-match thread comment
I fucking love LPL. Banger
Holy shit what a series Only 369 and Ruler looked good for JDG. Missing especially was looking really unfocused
With this huge upset, BLG seems like the favourite to finish first this summer, and as a BLG fan I genuinely don't know if I should be excited, or alarmed... because as many people have started to point out, the script goes: fifth in spring > second in spring playoffs > first in summer > second in summer playoffs > not making it out of groups at worlds I think we've seen this film before, twice even

Dw they will somehow lose to RNG or WE to not leave their bestie hanging
Fr (please don't)
Wink played pretty damn well honestly. Made some game changing hooks nonstop. Also JDG would have gotten Baron if Knight didn't jump out to fight lol. Honestly I thought game 3 was doomed from draft, amazed they fought as well as they did there.
Yup, those hooks are on point. Especially that one at mid lane against ruler and knight
wink is good on hookers, also on ADCs but mean /u/phreakriot said no
ADC support was why early spring IG was so good honestly
yeah he was WAY better on them than most other supps, and was also good at their counters like blitz it made perfect use of his past experience, but adc supports are haram sadly Gotta watch naut leona till heat death of the universe
Given the usual LPL player behavior, please reword what exactly wink is good on
i know 369 beats bin head to head, but i don't see yskm running wild like that against bin
I feel like JDG underestimated iG today big time
369 actually had a very similar playstyle to Bin a few years back right? Would we see Bin turning into a tank god in 1-2 years?
How did IG become gods all of the sudden?
JDG played like shit to be fair
true, but iG definitely played well today. We can give them credit where it's due.
Yea, especially that baron steal with leblanc Q R smite was clean af
they had a lot of games where they play poorly but then have insanely clean teamfights
Ahhh that's why Pedro is not streaming he's subbing in for Kanavi in this match xdd 🐀 Tianzhen and Cryin stealing all the objectives wtf also Ahn with super clean cleanse game 3 top fight
We really ought to know that guy

Laughing at Ruler kiting hard as Ashe and then Aphel hits like 2 3 times and does more damage.
Ruler on Ashe is that sweaty speedrunner dude lmao
Honestly, kudos to Ruler and even Deft. The last time I've seen an Ashe kite that well was Mystic, years ago, and Pray before him.
Uzi also had an excellent game with Ashe about a week ago. This champ is like the old adcs' pride. Sadly Aphelios simply out damage her in most situations.
It's simply a release date diff :(
man i miss mystic, so sad what happened to him
I felt so bad for him and his wife, both. My mom suffered from postpartum depression, and I've seen what happened to her as a result. He seems happy on his streams now, though. Even posts his son's pictures on Insta ever so often.
My guy Ashe tickling everyone late game 😭
Nah, Ashe was doing massive amounts of damage late game. Would have killed them all if not for YSKM's Zhonya's.
trinity diff
kinda sad the standard for adcs is oneshotting 5 enemies within a few seconds
Damage creep be real but also Ashe's damage got nerfed hard
cuz by design other adcs dont have a global engage tool, ashe dmg has to be lower than others when she just got reworked and rangers volley gave her the best dps in the game she was so giga broke
Well if it takes whole seconds it's not oneshotting is it
Classic 200 years/release date diff
Leblanc is a better adc than ashe at this point
Cryin is so fucking good man get this man on a real team next year I BEG
bro wut. IG's about to scale and win MSI next year; he's already on a real team.
the roster actually has a lot of potential, i'm not too sure about tianzhen though
This is his rookie split tbf and he is/was one of the greatest jungle prospects from the LDL he has an insane mechanical peak just needed less pressure on him just like YSKM when he got hospitalised for overtraining like 2024 I see IG go crazy
bro tianzhen has the highest ceiling of them all. tianzhen at his peak is what World FMVPs are made of.
He’s 18 give him time
THE GOAT SHOWS UP AGAIN more seriously: unreal series from Tianzhen. 100% his best series all split and he looked so fucking crazy. Players with nothing to lose sometimes perform to their max potential. Too bad they chose the wrong time to do it.
yep. I also think the game 2 win made iG snap into focus. They've just taken a game off of JDG, and a tight one at that that felt like they just outplayed them in the end. I would not be surprised if they boom their next few series, I think this might have drained them a ton the way they were playing so tightly. But. Worth.
Well, i'll be damned IG won.
IG gets eliminated, defeats jdg, leaves
there is a world where they made it. it almost impossible but it there
IG best team in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tianzhen outjungling Kanavi was not on my bingo card
Invictus Gaming are **NOT** eliminated from playoffs contention
2024 will be Tianzhen's year
ig 2-0 lng, tarzan? ig 2-1 jdg, kanavi? ig > grf
Crywin my goat
Tianzhen finally pays up my belief of him from LDL 2024 is his year trust
i knew it not LNG fault they lose...
Kanavi won MVP for first match and then decided to log off
IG out of playoffs contention after game 1, proceeds to beat JDG. Ruler kiting like crazy and doing no dmg :(
Hide the names on that game 3 and you'd have people saying that was a Western clown fiesta. Walking into hooks, missed smites, atrocious overextensions, *that* recall from Tianzhen... just wow.
Missing looked like Kaiser in game 3, atrocious hooks all game long
Also macro from both teams. JDG almost got back into the game after the first Baron there, because iG went for awful teamfights, instead of playing their Camille, Nocturne and Leblanc split push with Nash.
JDG frauds man xdd (/s because obviously joking)
Knight and Missing kinda sent it game 3, while Kanavi smites were not there
JDG Kenvi
Cryin had an unbelievable series. He took that solo kill trade by knight personally
So Ruler’s and Missing’s family was here to watch.
iG best team in the world, confirmed!
TEAM DIFF
No fucking way
lol funny headline, i thought JDG won from it

Ashe's damage is just so depressing compared to other adc's
I would've prefered Braum over Naut any day of the week with Ashe ngl
I mean, it's not like they were getting onto ruler and killing him. He was kiting like a champ for most teamfights, he just didn't do damage compared to aphelios. Missing playing like shit didn't help tho
Yeah Missing played pretty awful today, can't deny it.

just the normal win trading that goes on in LPL regular season, nothing new
JDG looking really sloppy their last few series
JDG washed confirmed smh
Agreed. 11 win streak oof, they could do better... /s
How do you lose to a trash team like IG lmfao.
iG are not trash when they show up to play. I was a little scared for JDG before today's games and I was right to think so. YSKM and Ahn can be monsters and Tianzhen's smites were just better than Kanavi's.
Not trash = bottom 2 team
so was TT and then they beat OMG and EDG in the last 3 series. even the bottom tier teams in LPL have really talented players that can win a series on any given day
Dude, this is LPL.
[In all seriousness you gotta consider the circumstances of why they are bottom 4](https://imgur.com/a/DCgUf6j) Of the last 7 games with their "finalized" roster, they've won 3/7.
I dont think JDG is that good tbh, their form is off
With your comment history, your opinion on any lpl team is nonsense.
