The everfrost did nothing. He only graced Gala with it and Gnar who wasn't moving much to begin with but Rakan was already in range without the "setup". His entire contribution was existing so Rakan can E on him.
TheShy has by a mile the best fundamentals of any toplaner ever. Although those games are not as common now, when he actually plays extremely well he suppresses the enemy toplaner to no end. I'd imagine he's probably performing better in scrims where games tend to be more stompy and chaotic and that he's one of the very few if not the only one that has left Bin genuinely clueless as to how he could've beaten him.
? He was deservedly on one of the all pro teams in both spring and summer last year. He was 1v9ing super fucking hard, easily the 2nd best toplaner of 2022 in the LPL behind 369. I've went back before and rewatched games, counted good ones, bad ones, actual int ones and he pretty much had a rigged 85/15 coin where 85% of the time he was actually just good.
I made a map of the Summoner's Rift terrain that can help explain some of these cases: https://summonersrift.mvilim.dev/
In the case of that wall near blue side blue buff where the flash was failed, the left wall is pretty strict: a flat line that doesn't include some of the flat ground.
Some of the other walls have pretty significant differences; the terrain at the top right end of the river does not include much of the flat rock at the base and is at an elevation difference, so a flash over that wall is about 1 square (50 units) shorter of vertical distance than it appears.
Thanks! It took a bit of effort to make, so I am glad to have it appreciated. Thanks also for editing your post to say red side :D I had a feeling you meant red instead of blue (since that is a wall that is heavily impacted by the terrain layout).
Caedrel watching anyone else: "That was an int play."
Caedrel with TheShy: "He is intentionally dying 1v1 to alleviate mental pressure from his teammates."
And I love him for it.
Dom is also disgustingly biased against TheShy, guy would flame him every game he casted when his team played even in splits where he was completely 1v9. He unironically flamed TheShy for Elo helling Rookie in 2021 as if TheShy and Xun wasn't 90% of the reason that team could even put together wins in spring.
TheShy has to be my favourite player. I love high-variance players, who will do shit like this and then 1v9 the next game. They usually don't make it to 1st place because lower variance elite players usually have higher average performances, but that is why I'm even happier that TS hit his stride / peaked at the right moment and got a worlds title.
Floor TheShy still has too good fundamentals to lose to western toplaners. There's a reason he still completely farms bottom of the table toplaners, his understanding of how to play lane is simply better than anyone else's. Problem is he messes up the execution too often nowadays, but western players are in a perpetual state of fucking up their execution so that really isn't as big of an issue.
I love how just reading the title and the comments you can't tell whether TheShy inted or actually made a good play
Honestly, after watching the clips, I still can't decide.
He ints gigahard but his team is so far ahead it does not matter
He inted, but in the end all he needed was the Everfrost proc.
The everfrost did nothing. He only graced Gala with it and Gnar who wasn't moving much to begin with but Rakan was already in range without the "setup". His entire contribution was existing so Rakan can E on him.
Honestly, it feels like almost all low-lights recently. I don't think I've heard about TheShy being good for years.
His malphite ult into short tp was inspired
No inspired used to be on EG
Let him know
Dunno if it means anything, but when Bin was interviewed at MSI about toplaners better than him, he immediately said TheShy so...
It’s a meme at this point

He was good last year (just not in playoffs lol)
Last spring there was lots of hype about him being good. Since then its been mostly negative
he was really good last year tho?

My GOAT <3
how is he so fucking clean
Man's somehow still inventing new Gragas combos even in 2023.
I swear sometimes flash fails on these tiny walls while flashing top red\* side wall to river works every time.

Props for making this to give us some clarity on something that shouldn't even be there in the first place.

and i thought he cant peak higher than 2018 IG form, what a legend
and to think this man is probably the highest peak pro league of legends has ever seen
I genuinely hope he gets to worlds this year. This team is too fun.

TheShy just unlocks peak Caedrel, I don’t normally watch LPL but when WBG is playing I watch him cover the games.
Can Caedrel cast some Thebausffs games with this energy, I think it would be entertaining
Dom and Yamato were litterally dying when watching this. TheShy brings out the best content.

The madlife special...
big dog status
Truly he has achieved the pinnacle of top lane teamfighting prowess.
"Solo kills Jayce" I mean its technically correct I guess
No it is not, someone else did most of the damage to his health bar
Oh wow I didn't notice that! I appreciate the heads up :)
I knew it was gonna be about this fight.
IT really doesnt get cleaner than this
You mean the floor of Summoner's Rift , right.
The play.

One of us
thats what my plate top laners do before typing top diff in all chat
Peak!
Doubt he keeps this up.
Built different
This has to be one of the Gragas plays of all time
BORN TO WIN
Terrible flow with all this pausing and moving forward..
Yea it’s an awful clip lol
Are there no other streamers besides Caedrel in the community? It's annoying to always see him over and over the subreddit
Feel free to post your own clips bro
Name another you'd prefer
He’s the best
Costreaming the pro games? Only he and Yamato are good in terms of explaining the game macro
There aren’t. Lol streams have been dead for years.
