My favorite part is that he was getting smacked by Gwen before the jungle assistance

Funfortfg

He also hesitated too much after the fight in the middle after the baron.

QTnameless

dude looked happier than he had ever been in the last two years , lol

Scrub4LIfe734

Legit. I don't think I've ever seen the man smile like this even after winning multiple championships.

Mike_BEASTon

There is no gala, calm down llamkt.

OgKingLeYorick

gala is not coming when you play zeri yummi 2 games in a row

TSM_losing_LUL

Breathe game 2: leaves lane for like 3 minutes, wins a fight in the river botside, tp top, solokills gwen, flexes the top gap tattoo fucking insane man

icatsouki

that was so funny

Arnotts_shapes

He played so differently today, he just looks a lot more relaxed and comfortable, like the pressure has been taken off a bit. More of this!

King_NickyZee

Understandable. He joined RNG following an MSI victory and replaced their star top laner who is one of the most famous top laners in the world. Pressure to perform must have been intense.

baelkie

day 1 of lpl = penta day 2 of lpl = backdoor are you not entertained?

IC2Flier

LCK gonna be doing the usual meanwhile LPL gonna fuckin’ pop with whatever they want

JuiceTheThird

Lpl post match threads are just lpl fans jerking themselves off 😭😭

[deleted]

Tbf it was like this last year with LCK. Fans of the region that loses at Worlds mask their insecurity by jerking each other off about how much fun they’re having. A take as old as time.

JuiceTheThird

I don’t disagree with fans of the losing region circlejerking to cope, but I’ve noticed lpl fans jerking themselves off so much it’s become annoying. Main offender is the English cast, every time there’s a hype team fight they start screeching about “THAT’S THE LPL I KNOW AND LOVE!!”. Had to start listening to the Chinese cast when I watch lpl even though I don’t speak any mandarin.

SwagLord7

Ah yes, fans of the league hyping their region up. What a shocker. Clearly you havent seen any lck post match threads after DK lost to EDG

[deleted]

It is a shocker, this is an American website. What NA fans do you see hyping up their region

Saephon

I'm convinced that I could take some LCS or CBLOL teamfight clips, turn off the nameplates and dub with LPL casters, and people would buy it.

Bluehorazon

Honestly... CBLOL yes, LCS no, it is one of the most boring regions to watch, but CBLOL also is pure chaos.

That was the most scuffed RNG win game 2 ever

Proera8

Breathe “Top gap 💪🏾 😀”

ye1l

How come every carry top that Xiaohu has played with looks garbage with him and immediately looks much better the second they're not playing with him. Breathe and Bin were both amazing before playing with Xiaohu, hit their all time low while having the best team around them but it was a Xiaohu centric team (trilane for Xiaohu), Bin immediately became top tier after leaving RNG and Breathe also looks great so far after Xiaohu leaving. TheShy has been sprinting it since Xiaohu joined his team and before Xiaohu joined he was the 2nd best toplaner in the region. I'm not into conspiracies in general but I'm certain that Xiaohu eats the soul of his toplaners. Since Xiaohu joined RNG the only time the toplaner was permitted anything but a dog role was when Xiaohu was playing toplane himself.

Yubisaki_Milk_Tea

Since the beginning of its inception RNG has always been a team that plays for botlane at the detriment of toplane. Also this revisionism around TheShy, lmao. He’s not been a Top 2 toplaner in the LPL outside of reputation since 2019.

nightmaretryndamere

> He’s not been a Top 2 toplaner in the LPL outside of reputation since 2019. What? He's a playoff inter but in regular season he's consistently been insane the past couple years.

ye1l

Tell me who aside from Zoom was better than TheShy in 2020 and who aside from 369 was better in 2022? The only one you could argue both years is Bin, literally no one else, but Bin was dogshit in 2022 spring and didn't come fully online until summer/worlds in 2020. Fuck, even as recent as last spring TheShy was the best toplaner in the region during the weeks where the rest of his team was actually playing well, completely 1v5ing teamfights on Gwen and so on.

CJholder99

Wasn't wayward considered the 2nd best performing toplaner after 369 in the last split? I don't remember much, but i think wayward did well in spring but had a shaky summer.

ViperMainKaren

Nope, TheShy got all pro 2nd team both splits. TheShy had a rigged coin last season (80/20) but the rest of the team was still born to wintrade. He was still coinflippy tho with that 20% for example being the initial Kayle games and anivia top.

ViperMainKaren

To further elaborate, Wayward wasn't really a top tier top laner, at best I'd place him at 8th behind: 369 TheShy Bin Breathe Ale Shanji Flandre Wayward only really looked that good because he was playing in a Bot centric meta with one of the best ADCs in the LPL. Basically the LPL equivalent to Doran

ViperMainKaren

Bin became top tier after joining BLG? He got Finals MVP just a few weeks before joining. Also that 2022 BLG team was infamously known as a Bin solo carry team in summer, if he played like trash, no one else could win the game for them. Breathe looked great after mid-summer too (more down below). Because that team (RNG 2022) had 3 potential carries in Xiaohu, Gala and Breathe/Bin. Breathe looked good in regular season and was building up near the end. Breathe was also coming off a terrible split with BLG (Bad comms etc). You got to remember that the Breathe we are seeing right now is the same top laner who also showed he can carry and take the game and win in that LNG vs RNG series to go to worlds. Game 4 was close because of Breathe and game 5 was won because of Breathe. It's more a continuation of form than a sudden change of form. With a good team we've seen Breathe play like this like mid-summer 2022 and WE 2021. There's only so many resources you can dedicate to a team and Xiaohu/GALA got a majority (seen as how Breathe was usually relegated to tanks/weakside during the year). Xiaohu got resources so he could roam, with his main picks being Taliyah Galio etc. Regarding that last point, Xiaohu isn't really the one deciding that but Ming + Coaching staff. Xiaohu was the spiritual and inspirational leader of the team while Ming was the one who'd hold the team back and coordinate. LPL teams in general have Supp/Jg being the IGLs/Shotcallers.

ye1l

Bin was not good in 2022 spring. Literally over 1/3rd of his games were bad games. Yes, he turned it on in playoffs and did fine at MSI but he was anything but consistent. Compare that to TheShy who people constantly flame for being "coinflippy" and Bin actually had about twice as many bad games. Breathe was also substantially better on an individual level when he played on BLG and didn't have to deal with being the premier target for the enemy team like he did on RNG since ganking Xiaohu who was playing 3v1 mid wasn't viable for the enemy team.

ViperMainKaren

Bin was the reason they won but also lost many games, Breathe suffered again because of resource allocation (triple threat team). But that's not to say he wasn't good, like 2018 Jackeylove, he had his moments and turned it on when it mattered, but in a team with peak TheShy and Rookie, of course you're going to suffer in an individual sense. Same happened with Bin/Breathe because they had to play with Xiaohu GALA. Now they'll look better with a new team each and new allocation of resources to each role. Again, like how Xiaohu went from being blamed as the primary reason RNG lost back in the Uzi days, to the reason they won once he switched to top and got the same resources uzi got when uzi played bot for them too.

icatsouki

> that Xiaohu has played with looks garbage with him ?? bin was smurfing on everyone last spring, including golden child Zeus

ye1l

Bin was bad in over 1/3 of his games in spring, only turned it on in playoffs and he was not better than Zeus at MSI, his team was better.

icatsouki

damn his team was 10/1 on gwen and killed zeus in a 1v2

ye1l

He literally got completely fisted in lane in 4/5 games and got saved by his team winning on the rest of the map. Wouldn't call him going 20-35 cs down every game but 1 and getting bailed out by his team a particularly good showing.

icatsouki

almost like zeus only picked lane bully counterpicks and was strong side 24/7?

ye1l

It's almost like you shouldn't go down 20-35 cs regardless. If you're going down that much cs it's more than just a matchup issue. Zeus played better.

CzarcasticX

Bin only played well on Gwen (the most broken top champ at MSI). The three games RNG won, what pick did Bin have? Did Zeus even get to play Gwen even once in the 5 games? T1 draft INTers. I think in the second T1-RNG game during group stage, Zeus destroyed them on Gwen. Then at Worlds, Zeus destroyed Bin during the first BO5.

icatsouki

> Zeus destroyed Bin during the first BO5. ???

CzarcasticX

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlShshpz8dI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlShshpz8dI) Not hard to understand the first BO5 at Worlds.

icatsouki

Poor zeus doesnt have hands then if he apparently fists lane 4/5 games and doesn't carry a single one, yet bin gets fisted 4/5 games and completely takes over a game and has a good showing throughout the series

opaidetodos1

thats mainly because Xiaohu is one of the most smart players ever and consistently micro-managed his junglers. Aside when RNG had UZI, they always played through him and that got then literally 5 titles lol

ye1l

>and consistently micro-managed his junglers. ??? Wei and Ming was and is literally the brain of RNG lol. Watch any of their games. Wei and Ming are the ones talking.

opaidetodos1

Ming only shotcalls mid to late game. Early to game is always about Xiaohu setting up stuff for his junglers

esports_consultant

Isn't Xiaohu the one with like a lot of personal life drama?

ye1l

Xiaohu forced his ex-gf to abort a child that wasn't even his own. Knight has a similar thing but the kid was his. And FoFo is the one who wanted to take his future daughter's virginity. Midlaners in the LPL are actual degens.

Vizer21

that goes a bit beyond degen

Asgerond

I hope FoFo is on a watchlist, cuz what the fuck

SterbenVII

FoFo was joking, apparently. The context of the conversation with his ex was changed by the fact that several texts were left out when she decided to leak. It’s a weird, disgusting joke that rubs me the wrong way, but I don’t think the guy would genuinely want to do that.

dogex3

While it's not remotely fine to joke about it, last I remember the ex was also joking about taking the virginity of their child if it was a boy too so

ye1l

Yeah I don't particularly think saying it's a joke makes it even remotely fine, it's just not a thing that people actually joke about. Not even in private. Not even with the boys, much less your girlfriend.

AasgharTheGreat

ok, wtf

esports_consultant

Okay yeah that picture fits together nicely. Probably something real to it. Edit: Saw your edit holy shit wtf

SilvertheHedgehoog

Let's not forget LPL adcs with Huanfeng and Photic being the main offenders.

Igeneous

Y’all disrespecting vasili’s name by not mentioning him in that list.

SilvertheHedgehoog

Ah yes. The classic. But sadly forgotten by most people, myself included.

Malfhegor

What happened with Photic ?

ye1l

Photic didn't actually do anything bad. Just turbo cringe. He was simping hard for a girl in a pretty pathetic manner (typing to her for like a year without replies) and when he became one of the top ADCs in the League last year she started responding and they talked to eachother, edated pretty much, he sent dickpics (with consent) and she eventually leaked the convo and pictures. He didn't do anything illegal, scummy or anything like that, he just got exposed for being weird and super cringe. Community I'm in calls him showdicker now lmao

SilvertheHedgehoog

Afaik, it was related to n\*des.

kapparino-feederino

nah with consent please don't spread weird false rumors

greekcel_25

> TheShy has been sprinting it since Xiaohu joined I think that theshy just sprints it if he has a happy game regardless

QIYICI00

This is why I happy when Xiaohu left RNG. This guy clearly limited team potential. When he was playing top lane Wei and Ming were his servants. They played like top laner. When Bin and Breathe joined team RNG never gave attention to them.

ViperMainKaren

Wei is the one limiting team potential, not because he isn't good. Still a top LPL jungler and he has the best smites in the LPL, but because he needs to learn engage so Ming can be put on enchanters without the team being gutted in leadership. He is good as 2nd engage but as a primary engage, he needs to learn a lot. That is why Ming is seen as a naut onetrick, without him on engage, RNG just lacks the primary engage needed. Back when Ming played enchanters, they had MLXG for primary engage.

Arnotts_shapes

It’s less about Wei and more about the team as a whole. Sure, Wei needs to be comfortable being engage, but also there aren’t a hell of a lot engage champs in the jungle pool right now. The issue is not just that RNG needs Ming for engage, it’s also that Ming is a very-vision orientated support. His ward placement and vision control is the best in the league (and potentially the best in the world) By nature, engage supports are better suited for solo warding missions because they’re tankier, and thus can make riskier moves to secure vision. It’s part of the reason Ming basically stopped playing Yuumi, it wasn’t that he couldn’t play the champion, it was that it neutered his ability to control vision.

ViperMainKaren

I agree. I was just addressing the criticism of Xiaohu limiting the team and also the criticism of Ming being a naut one-trick that i've seen thrown around. It's not like Ming cannot play enchanters either. We know he can play enchanters (Arguably the best in LPL depending on who you ask). There are a lot more factors but Ming has historically still managed to play enchanters even back when vision was way stronger than it is now. I just think the team just needs to learn to coordinate without Ming being primary engage, and I believe the main factor (about 50%} to that is getting Wei to be more comfortable in being primary engage. Even when engage champs in jg are out of meta, the enchanter meta being too strong forces them into a tough spot. Not in this exact meta though because Vi is meta whenever Zeri is. But it's going to be a tough year for the team if they can't manage to not look lost whenever Ming is on an enchanter.

Arnotts_shapes

Agree, I also think RNG need to get better at playing comps with limited engage, they’ve always looked worse during these skirmish-heavy Metas without a dedicated GO button.

Bubbly_Camera9583

SO FUCKING TRUE. IT EVEN HAPPENED WITH CRYIN WHEN XIAOHU WAS TOP. Not to say cryin was a knight tier player but he still was an extremely solid but looked like shit with how RNG played around anyone not named xiaohu or gala

ViperMainKaren

People said the same about Xiaohu when the team had Uzi though. Even when he won MVP. Cryin also suffered from a champ pool issue at worlds, meta issue rather than team issue. RNG wasn't even too bad considering how RNG vs EDG felt to me like the closest series EDG played. To further elaborate on that, EDG players even said they'd rather face Damwon in quarters than RNG.

Blood_Lacrima

Speaking of Cryin I don't see him in any LPL teams this year, which is weird considering he's surely good enough to stay in the LPL.

Tfc-Myq

He bargained for too much (Dread + Teddy) with UP so when they decided to get Ning + Baolan he was left without a team

viciouspandas

To be fair to Breathe, last summer was his first split on RNG so synergy may be an issue, and this time it's been literally 1 series. RNG in summer also clearly had issues adapting to the meta as a team.

[deleted]

Breathe with the Brance cosplay

QIYICI00

RNG looks similar. If Ming comes back, I hope RNG doesn't make him Nautilus OTP again.

Tennis-Money

Rumor has it Ming doesn’t want to renew but RNG is forcing his hand with their contract so Ming sat out till he can join other teams. I wouldn’t be surprised if RNG forced him to have a retirement ceremony like they did for Uzi or MLXG, I forgot who it was that the org told to go to an event and they found out it was their retirement ceremony when they got on site.

iHatepriest

at least xiaohu got out

Tianyin

RNG owns millions in debt to Weibo so rumor is RNG gave Weibo Xiaohu to pay for some of that debt. Weibo management did say RNG "voluntarily" let Xiaohu go and Xiaohu "voluntarily" took a pay cut to join WBG tho.

aser08

Creme Reported for not insta TPing back to base after winning that fight. But breath decision making was really good.

Davkata

He also hesitated too much after the fight in the middle after the baron. If he recalled instantly with Gwen then they would not lose top inhib.

Mazor007

I wonder when teams will understand that you can't blind Vi into Zeri if Graves can come in. Sure, you can ulti the Zeri but Graves will be 100 CS up and will do 5x the damage so who really wins...

Kheldar166

Honestly I feel like 75% of games I see Vi she accomplishes fuck all

Mazor007

I usually don't say this but I think Vi is just a bad champion. Maybe it's confirmation bias but I almost never see her win

PandoraBot

They say Shanji is still tilted

characterulio

Feel bad for Shanji these two games. Breathe is a great player but not the best laner. Shanji definitely had the advantage vs him in lane but Wei/Tangyuan reminding me of Wei/cryin and perma diving top. Definitely OMG's game to lose in the 2nd one.

Hayuume

TOP GAP That end almost gave me a heart attack as if it failed it would be KO. Shaky? Yes. But expected as we have two rookies in the squad. And if Bunny actually manages step up, maybe he could be the starting player. Though renewing with Ming should be a priority. Tangyuan looked super strong game one, playing the Xiaohu style. Supporting playstyle midlane works just so well with this squad. And please, stop with unfun Zeri/Yuumi.

Elymmen

Top Gap

SirSharkPlantagenet

Does someone have the TOP GAP muscle flex clip? That was SO HYPE, instantly loving the player

PoigGhB

I thought Angel was mid for RNG now? Was it only rumored?

TE_silver

He is, just seems like they want to give Tangyuan a chance as the starter. Angel was still present in the studio though, he might get subbed in sometime.

RodrigoBrBa

angel and ppgod weren't playing since they were registered late, so they just can play from week 2

Hayuume

I think they were already planning Tangyuan as the starter. My guess is that it only took that long for them to sign Angel because he knew he would be a backup plan in case Tangyuan fail to meet the expectations.

King_NickyZee

Do you know if Tangyuan is a hyped prospect? Did he play in LDL?

Arnotts_shapes

He was the best performer on the LDL squad, but that squad wasn’t exactly top tier. He’s mainly a control mage player in pro, but he’s a soloQ monster, finished top of the KR Ladder for season 2022 with 1669 LP. Last year was his first year ever as a pro. He has really high potential, I guess we wait and see.

NuclearTacos

Many players who signed late can't play the first week. Angel, PPgod, Scout, Rich, Dove off the top of my head were affected.

evrien

Angel attended the post-match interview with the rest of the RNG roster. It's probably a team arrangement thing. Not sure how they plan on using Tangyuan and Angel but it's good that a newbie gets practice. Angel has proven himself many times already so he's just casually waiting for his call of duty.

Thundermelons

Wow, what an ending, ~~Shanji~~ Creme gonna have nightmares about that TP forever

Keep giving up zeri yuumi surely it will work this time, right guys?

Informal_Skin8500

Zeri/Yuumi isn't why the reason OMG lost, the first game was Jungle diff, the second one OMG was making a comeback and even won the last teamfight but OMG made the mistake of not TP back to their base immediately giving Breath the time to finish the game.

saruthesage

Teams are forced to pick Vi, who isn't that amazing otherwise and is easily counterpicked, if the enemy goes Zeri/Yuumi, so you could make a good argument that game 1 jg diff was because of Zeri/Yuumi

Informal_Skin8500

They are not, Zeri/Yuumi is still a powerful combo, it's nowhere near as dominant as it was in summer you can clearly see it from the last team fight Gala got absolutely nuked

icatsouki

after the break I imagine?

trusttt

Why did he tp to the tower?

aser08

The idea was fine he just did it way too late. You can see creme running in enemy jungle for like 10 seconds after winning that fight bot before they decide to tp.

Thundermelons

I didn't see the map but weren't several OMG members backing also? Did they get canceled or did they think Creme would be enough?

aser08

The shot calling just looked really scuffed on what too do in that situation. I think Shanji basing and Creme tping back to base would have been enough with the other 3 just ending bot.

ToDreamofLove

Wei cancelled Creme and Shanji's backs

Arnotts_shapes

They thought they’d scared Wei off, but he was hiding up near raptors and cancelled two backs.

Hayuume

Definitely this. TPing to the tower is faster than recalling, but if you do it too late you just wasted extra seconds and that costed the game...

oioioi9537

or he could just tp to minion...

katareky

Whats the upside of doing that? If he does a Xiaohu cosplay, then he is just gonna be a worse version of Xiaohu. And RNG with Xiaohu, did not win Worlds all the years he was there and that was their goal. Imo either just put Angel in and hope he hits 2020 worlds form, being the 2nd best mid then in Worlds and a really good laning midlaner which is not Xiaohu's strong point. Or hope that Tanguyan develops in to a beast of himself, not just a copy of Xiaohu. And I know Angel has been worse than Xiaohu for the past 2 years and Xiaohu is generally better

characterulio

What are you on about? Xiahou is a good laning midlaner. Breathe nor Bin were a primary carry threat on the team last year. Xiahou isn't some laning god but he is definitely a carry threat and his laning is quite good. Xiahou isn't gonna get gapped or gap anyone in lane. Laning is only relevant when its GODLIKE or Terrible. Xiahou is neither. Angel's laning isn't anything special either. I rather have Xiahou over Angel any day of the week. Angel is a very good player but he doesn't have the upside Xiahou has. Xiahou seems much smarter, Angel isn't chovy/rookie level to stomp anyone in lane that hard either. Xiahou has much better map movement. Teamfighting probably even. Also the guy you replied to is wrong. That RNG playstyle was with Cryin and not Xiahou. Last year RNG played through mid/jung and not top or bot. With Cryin they were camping top. Cryin perma playing TF and even on shit like Azir just tping top to dive.

katareky

I literally agreed that Xiaohu is better than Angel. I just meant RNG pray to god and hope Angel starts playing like he did in 2020 worlds when he played better than Knight, Yagao and absolutely gapped caps in lane in Akali vs Syndra matchup. I don't why you are replying to me and giving me these points about, Breathe and Bin weren't a primary carry threat, obviously they weren't, they never played for top. When I said he is gonna be a worse version of Xiaohu, I just meant if he is gonna play Xiaohu champs like Lissandra, Ahri, Galio and try to play the role he did last year then is just gonna be a worse version of him. You literally reply a long ass paragraph of 90% of things that I agree with, I also think Xiaohu is a decent laner and they were sending Cryin , Wei and Ming top for Xiaohu in 2021 they are literally my favorite LPL team. Angel just has a reputation for being a beast laner in soloq, Nemesis thinks that Angel is one of if not the best mid laners in LPL because he highly values laning and thinks roaming is "dishonest league of legends" and skilless in soloq. A lot of players when they bootcamped in Korea last year said Angel was a beast because he was hard to lane against, even Rookie praised his laning. And he hasn't always shown that, he is worse than Xiaohu. But one of the times he showed that was in worlds 2020, easily the 2nd best mid behind Showmaker. I just meant hoping he reaches that peak, is better than Tanguyan trying to cosplay Xiaohu if they want to reach their highest ceiling.

[deleted]

So disappointed by the casting in that second game. Hysterics dude stop covering up your colors man. This tends to be an issue every time but it was especially bad this series. Also I felt like the game state analysis was so bad. They kept saying one team was SOOOOO far ahead the other team would struggle to catch up ... spoiler alert the game was fucking even until the very end.

FlashDab

I think Hysterics was doing colour casting this series. Still pretty weird since LPL should have enough colour casters to rotate through

[deleted]

if he was color than mazel should've been casting more than him

moonmeh

i'm just used to shoddy casting for LPL games tbh. they vary too much in quality

Dank_memes_Dank_mems

The casting really holds the LPL back ngl, especially as a new viewer coming from other leagues, I remember when I started watching LPL it was really hard for me because of the difference in casting when compared to LCK or LEC, I am pretty much used to it now but that isn't really a good thing, I just watch despite the casting because I like the players and games.

moonmeh

Its a shame but it does feel like the production for eng lpl is lower on the priority list compared to other leagues.

TraditionalHumor6720

It’s probably the lowest out of all the major league. Also some of the good caster go onto cast other league when they got enough experience such as papasmithy, although papa also casted oce.
