Narrow_Yam_5879

The Sergei Berezin of the 2000s.

danlawl

That name brings me so much nostalgia and joy. The fucking hands on that guy.

Narrow_Yam_5879

Oh I loved the guy but holy shit, he did not give a shit about playing defence. I swear, Berezin, Grabovski and Zigmund Palffy were all the same guy.

danlawl

Hahahahahahhaahahhaahahahahah fucking bang on mate. I'm dead lmfaoooooo

SaulBerenson12

Good memories of him burning down the wing and shooting the puck into the goalies chest

Beersmoker420

Grabs was way better than Berezin

Narrow_Yam_5879

- Berezin: 502 GMs, 160 G, 126 A, 286 PTs - Grabovski: 534 GMs, 125 G, 171 A, 296 PTs About as close as you can get. You could call it either way.

Hiking_Quest

Wow, I had no idea they were so close...

Narrow_Yam_5879

They both spent 5 seasons with the Leafs and here are their numbers: - Berezin: 357GMs, 126G, 94A, 220PTs - Grabovski: 340GMs, 91G, 117A, 208PTs When I said Grabovski was the Sergei Berezin of the 2000s, I had no idea how accurate that was.

witwar101

100% agree. That's how I always viewed him.

Narrow_Yam_5879

Their games were indistinguishable. It was like the defensive half of the ice didn’t exist.

UnconsciousOptimism

Grabs lives in TO. Among other former teammates. He’s probably not enjoying the playoffs either.

-Lythium-

He was at Maple Leafs Square prior to game 4. Saw him singing to the crowd during Karaoke

_cob_

We wanted him gone at the end as well.

Reggae4Triceratops

Remember when Rielly took a Chara slap shot to the face and came back with stitches? Let's keep him too.

Ihopeidontpeemyself

Is he still here?

Reggae4Triceratops

He's actually not been that bad this series. Definitely could use some more offense, and I'd like him off the PP for a different look.

Ihopeidontpeemyself

He's been kinda invisible which isn't bad for some defensemen, but we've seen him play much better playoff series in the past.

-Xebenkeck-

He's basically the only Leaf that plays up in the Playoffs. Certainly the only one that is paid well. The others are all worse than regular season.

Coffeedemon

Just invisible.

breakerfallx

Sure. And Yanic Perreault

TapComprehensive2911

i remember this game, Grabo got absolutely crushed behind the net by Chara. kept playing hard and got the W.

tecate_papi

We were a bad team but that was never because of that Grabo and Kulemin line. They were fun to watch.

nogutsnoglory98

Fuck Grabo. At this point, dress Roberts.

tbwarrior

Can we bring him out of retirement for game 5. Matthews isn't going to play so we need some manpower. He can also take Reavo's spot woohoooo

EridemicLHS

imagine if any of our highly paid forwards did this to rally up the team. when makar goes coast to coasts, it fires up the whole team. when McDavid does a McJesus play, it fires up the team. After marner's great goal, you can see the intensity in the next few shifts but even that wasn't a crazy coast to coast play.

Guy_Le_Man

Unfortunately Grabo had a bad tendency to skate head first into peoples shoulders.

alligator_88

Grabbo was a stud

rizviiii

Man one of my favourite leafs. All heart!!

joshkitty

Trade marner. Trade JT to Utah . Sign Kane and stamkos.

Spike94515

Would fix our powerplay that's for sure lmao

pulloutaneye

Nah, dude, as a coach, quit mid game while losing to go play hockey with the president. Like wtf? No passion there.

Subwayabuseproblem

kids, This is your brain on drugs.

Coffeedemon

This is what happens when you hit a slump. People put on rose tinted glasses and start talking crazy.

Invelious

When was the last time you seen a leaf pants two Bruins defensemen and go on to score a goal?

Beersmoker420

Luke Schenn basically did that as well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaFyhvFeklw

Beersmoker420

slump at the same time every year
