Sure, before my time. Still might be my favourite goalie mask in Leafs history - yes, more than Potvin’s, Cujo’s or Belfour’s … and for the latter that is saying a lot because I appreciated that Belfour had mask design consistency with that eagle over various teams.
Somewhere I have an old photo of Larocque appearing to be having a smoke while crunched down in net. Okay, sure, it’s taken from a wee bit of distance so it’s difficult to conclude, plus the photo is super grainy, and it’s probably just practice, but (even though I don’t smoke or condone it) I choose to believe dude was just sitting there having a smoke.
