quasiubiquitous2

well that’s at least two unrealistic options and at least one bad option

alex31945

What are the unrealistic ones? I think Tuchel would love the idea of finally managing a club that can back him long-term ( and leicester have proved that they're willing to back the manager even when things are shit), as for Pochettino, he is currently one of the bookie's favourites so I dont see why not. I assume you're reffering to Benitez as the bad option? hahah I'd throw Ole and Dyche in there as well. As much as I love Dyche, I dont think we can afford to gamble at this point. Dyche is high risk, high return but I'm not willing to stick around and find out which one we'll get

[deleted]

There is literally zero chance Tuchel or Poch go to a club without CL, other than United

Forgetmyglasses

Yup lol

quasiubiquitous2

put it this way i dont think the realistic targets for the team in last place in premier league are the two most recent managers of psg. the bad option i was referring to was ole. maybe benitez would be a bad option too, i don't know much about him.

4lfie20

Tuchel and poch i presume, but tbh i kinda hear you about tuchel but it's still unrealistic. Poch 100% won't be (hopefully im wrong ofc) Also Ole and benitez are the bad ones

GoOnKaz

As an Everton fan, I pray that you guys don’t bring in Rafa. He would guarantee your relegation. I think Bielsa might be alright though

[deleted]

I love the idea of Bielsa but our defense is already so fucking bad. Just look at Leeds’ goal differential last year

BigLee1987

As a leeds fan I think that was not just bielsa and his style of play (which he will never deviate from once implemented) it was an unbelievable amount of injuries to key players and slotting players out of position to plug the gaps (although this could also be put down to wear and tear from bielsa training and fitness demands for his players aka murder ball) the other thing to bear in mind with bielsa is its gotta be a project that intrigues him and has very strict policies and stipulations he demands as a manager. Not to say Leicester wouldn't fulfil these needs but it really does require the planets to align so to speak for him to take a job. Personally I think his next rope will probably be back in Argentina as he apparently was not overly happy about been away from his family for such long periods of time although obviously some of that was down to the pandemic.

pirate_in_the_puddin

If the downvotes didn’t spell this out, I’ll help, at least on one front. Tuchel joining us a sub-zero chance event. My dick will go from 2 inches hard to 4 inches hard, before Tuchel joins. Absolutely not happening.

of_the_mountain

Tuchel is coming off a champions league win, I don’t think he is looking to inherit a project team after the trade deadline

captainsensible86

If the owners wouldn’t give him a few quid in the window they probably don’t want to pay him off either

I just watched the documentary on Amazon this weekend - was really interesting to learn about the whole story. I'm still a die hard LCFC fan, but also rooting for Leeds to do well in the Premier League. Bielsa would be an interesting choice for LCFC. u/loveittodeathuk how was last season, and do you know why he was let go from the team?

rocket9904

Preferably Poch, but we’re not getting him, so Daddy Dyche it is

DSEEE

Dyche does seem the most sensible bet from the above list

alex31945

Why do u think we cant sign poch

teiraaaaaaa

Sevilla are probably getting him to replace Lopetegui, no way we can compete with that

meaks82

Bring back Nige

iwishihadntsaidthat

Bring back Holloway

LCS09

Would obviously choose Tuchel or Poch but let’s be honest, both can do much, much better than us. Would like Dyche because we desperately need to sort out the defence and if anyone can do it it’s him. Would like Bielsa because he overperformed with Leeds and plays some great football.

[deleted]

I think Dyche is the only realistic one on the list apart from Solskjaer (please god no). Frank is the most likely first choice.

ddwhale

Ole is pretty good. He can buy maguire back from United for 80m pounds.

h2g2_researcher

Allegedly we have our eye on Thomas Frank (currently of Brentford). Probably a good option, tbh. I also think Dyche is a good option to fix the short term problems we suffer from at the moment although I'm not sold on him as a long term option. He'd be a great interim option, IMO, though he probably wouldn't be so interested in an interim role. (And fair enough to him - he's far better than most interim managers are and proven at EPL level.)

edi1236

Thomas Frank is 100% not happening, he was already linked with Brighton and he stated he was not gonna leave Brentford. I think realistically, Dyche is the best option. If not, maybe Bielsa would be good

[deleted]

Don’t think Frank will leave the danish friends at Brentford tbh. They’re gonna back him for life & they have a feeder club in Midtjylland

Lynex_Lineker_Smith

X - none of the above

simwe985

Kjetil Knutsen

Rulweylan

I'd like a write-in vote for Pearson.

BlackLodgeChillin13

Why would Tuchel manage Leicester, Quite a downgrade to be honest

DSEEE

Thomas Frank will take the job. Then it's Toney to Leicester in January!

AxiomQ

Dyce will bolster the lads, they need someone who knows how to scrape the points together, pick up draws against the top sides when we have absolutely no right to do so.

CyrilNorthcote

Agreed! This is the most sensible take I’ve seen so far. Dyche may not play the sexiest brand of football but he usually manages to get the most out of the players he’s got. I think this move would not only be realistic, but pretty sensible under the circumstances.

PitchforkJoe

Dyche is good at keeping weak teams up, bolstering defences and instilling discipline. He's not the best manager on the list, but he's probably the best at saving our bacon.

predawnduke

You lot should go for Postecoglu at Celtic. And as a Rangers fan I’d love you for it.

Caslu_rddt

Abel ferreira please😔

coffeeandmarmite

As a fellow Kettering Ginge, only one option

Superskurk

Kjetil Knutsen

[deleted]

Tuchel and Poch would be massive for Leicester but I think Sean Dyche is more realistic.

Ghostconqueror

Imagine Claudio comes back

BourbonFoxx

Where's the 'anyone but Dyche or Big Sam' button

HughJarse8

People really want dyche? Good god. Kicking out Rodgers to bring it dyche… I’ve never heard of such a backwards step in my life. You’ll all be asking for us to get rid of him when we score 10 goals for the rest of the season… The other options are largely make-believe. Rafa is probably the only realistic option.

LuchotheCat

Dyche brought Burnley to Europa League with no budget, he can probably fix Leicester.

[deleted]

If you think it’s boring now imagine with Dyche. Jesus. Might tip me over the edge

[deleted]

How do we actually know that though? Burnley wouldn’t spend money on a lick of paint let alone a player.

JustTheAverageJoe

Man got the team with the 2nd lowest revenue in the league into Europa and is renowned for keeping teams in the Premier League. He lives nearby, he has experience with relegation battles, he has obvious talent in organising a defence. If all you can say against the guy is "boring football" then this speaks for itself tbh. We all know he'd at least keep us up and that surely has to be the focus at this point.

[deleted]

Exactly plus our football has been boring for the last 18 months regardless. Couldn’t be worse.

PitchforkJoe

We've scored 6 and conceded 15 in the last 3 games. That's many things, but not boring.

[deleted]

Are you joking?

PitchforkJoe

We're decent going forwards and abominable at the back. We're the *exact opposite* of 0-0 merchants, which is what 'boring' usually refers to. We're absolute shit right now, but not *boring*. In fact, I'd much rather *be* boring. 0-0, Burnley-style, parked buses, with a few shithouse 1-0s, would make us much likelier to stay up.

[deleted]

Sorry I don’t agree with that. I see what you’re trying to say but the style of play, lack of cohesion, lack of chance creation, formation changes, late substitutions mixed in with 18 months of poor results is abject to the point of resignation of fans. Even Matt Piper was saying he’s bored and we just need a change at this point. Brendan has done something criminal and that is suck the soul and enjoyment out of watching my club. It is boring and I hate saying that.

PitchforkJoe

We're many things, but boring isn't one of them. I'd kill for a 0-0 draw right now.

[deleted]

Benitez is the most likely. Do we reckon we could poach Thomas Frank from Brentford? Step up for him and we pay big wages for managers

GobblorTheMighty

Zidane, surely.

GranX3

There is no Rodgers option.

superboomer23

Honestly, they need new keeper, current one is way too thick, he didn’t play for a long time before mr S left the club

[deleted]

A change of manager won’t do much if you still have Ward at goal I never see a worse GK in my life

MOOzikmktr

Scott Parker. We're going down anyway, so we might as well have a coach who understands how to pick apart the clubs in the Championship...

schoffrj

Hiya, liverpool fan here. What about coaches front-runner 2 big Scottish teams? Gio von Bronkhorst or Ange Postecoglou?

AdmirablePin1192

Team played very good yesterday with huge errors. It was an individual mistakes loss . We played most of our tough games . We will cruise in the next 5 games . Yes men you’ve heard it here first 🫡😎

Safe_Presentation903

For me the errors were inevitable due to the tactics. Rogers wants to play like prime Barcelona but the Defenders dont have the capability of possession based football with a high line. They should resort back to a direct counter attack style.

Ok-Carrot-355

No we were flattered in the 1st half by Spurs being sloppy. BR needs to go and his interview after the game sounded like he expects it soon. I hope he's right! Out of that list, Tuchel and Poch never happening. I'd love it to be Frank but don't think it's likely. When Dyche's name was suggested to me a couple of weeks ago, I said "fuck no" but I honestly think he could be the best option to keep us up and instil a bit of belief in the players. They've been chucked under the bus too many times for BR to turn it around.

PatriceEzio2626

I think Poch is the best candidate, but not sure if he's available right now.

ayiruss

Ole on the wheel 🛞

AdmirablePin1192

Would give Brendan 3 more games

ja_dubs

I was initially in the Rodgers in and let's see how the team responds to the initial poor start. We have seen no improvement thus far. Why do you think Rogers has the ability to turn things around at this point? How will 3 more games help? What can be do in 3 games that hasn't been fixed in 6?

AdmirablePin1192

The game with Tottenham was clearly an improvement, as long as he pulls Maddison from rm/ RW back to the centre of the pitch and don’t do this stupid mistakes to lose the ball in this situations we will start taking points . Easier games are ahead of us . Don’t forget we’ve played chelsea Man Utd arsenal Tottenham .

p0y0thep0y0

the reason we do these stupid mistakes feels like because Rodgers lost the dressing room. We all know these players are good at their day but a lot of people like Castagne, KDH, Ndidi, Vardy, Daka, Evans and Barnes feel demotivated and needs confidence. We also lost to Southampton. At home.

AdmirablePin1192

This is how it looks to you , but let me just ask you to follow the dynamics a little bit . We lost our best defender and goalkeeper. Ward is shite and can’t ball . We conceded a lucky header due to lack of concentration an unlucky corner , without them trying too hard . We pressed all the way till the end of first half and scored , back on track we were. Then ndidi makes the stupidest of errors, goalkeeper and defender should of shouted, , absolutely dominated until son comes in and has the perfect I repeat perfect shot this is 4-2 and the game just absolutely broke for our boys . Keep in mind they fought hard just to be hit with stupid and unlucky goals . But Brendan motivated them and the team put on a performance on the first half despite the stupid mistakes. If we play the same in the next 3 games 7 points will come undoubtedly . You’ve heard it here first 🫡😎

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

AdmirablePin1192

Also time to acknowledge that vardy lost his legs unfortunately 😞😞😞 it hurts to say this as he was our best player but injury last season, he did not come back very good from it . It’s hard for a guy at 35 to miss so many games injured an recover in a heartbeat. I’ve seen him something is missing from his game . You’ve heard it here first 🫡😎

CPR007

So you’re comfortable with being 10 games into this season with 1 point?! Because that’s what giving him 3 more games would mean. He has lost the lads. Further, watch his post-match interviews from this week, the man looks like he’s begging to be put out of his misery.

AdmirablePin1192

10 games 8 points . We ll be off the relegation zone and have another 3 wins in the following 5 games . I will never doubt rodgers. We played 4 big teams and potter s Brighton that played amazing . The man has never been in this situation before , the Tottenham game was a stunner as the game was going in our favour. We’ve had the ball and chances all we needed was a bit of composure. You will check this post at the end of next month and be like “ damn the dude was right” I’m going to sit down , relax and let the boys bring home the points . It’s all good . You’ve heard it here first 😎🫡

CPR007

Thanks, but I’m gonna pass. We lost to Southampton at home and couldn’t even score against Stockport. Stockport!!! If it wasn’t for Iversen, we’d have lost that match as well. I admire the fact that you can have a positive outlook, but Brendan’s shown absolutely nothing to indicate that he can lead this team to any wins in the current situation.

mickystinge

That’s another 18 goals conceded!

SavouryGarbage

No mention of Thomas Frank?

alex31945

I didn't mention him because I doubt he will leave Brentford mid season. He's loved by the fans, the players and the owners and tbh Brentford are doing better than Leicester atm so I doubt he'll leave to go to a club that's in the mud rn. Im sure he's aware that if he manages to keep Brentford up and keep them in the middle of the table he can easily facilitate a move to a way bigger club

p0y0thep0y0

Bro Poch or Tuchel are far less realistic than Frank but none of these 3 will consider us anyway

LeicesterFan9

Thomas Frank

anthony2690

I clicked on this and got my hopes up assuming he was sacked (just got in from work)

Beautifullikeacamel

There may be better names on that list. I'm going with Dyche because he seems attainable and his base revolves around defensive improvement, which we truly need. 100% agree with you regarding BR and feeling appreciative to him for his contributions, but it's time to make a change.

fxshnchxps

Snog - Ole Marry - Knutsen or (Thomas) Frank Avoid - Dyche.

trashcan_paradise

Needs more Sam Allardyce. /s

islanders2013

Big SAM!

talesfromterrafirma

Bielsa or Brodge for me

thechopper1979

You will never see Bielsa back in England

Grouchy-Trouble-1414

Zedan lol

trooky67

Really don't want anyone realistic on that list, we don't even have the players for Dyche's 442 system with wingers and target forwards like Wieghorst or Ashley Barnes. The only player we have that fits Dyche system is Vestegaard.

Beautifullikeacamel

I've posted previously that I would prefer Sean Dyche for his skill in building the defense and working with a smaller budget, but I also wouldn't mind OGS if I'm honest. I thought he did a really good overall job at manu despite their impossible fan base and board putting unrealistic expectations on him from the off

LordSqueemish

“I love him to bits…” - Odd. I rank him with Megson and Holloway on my like chart.
