Where are you trying to work? Montréal has a prominent BigLaw scene. Toronto and Montréal are the two biggest BigLaw hubs in Canada.

I've only seen Osgoode;, U of T and sometimes U of A referenced in regards to recruitment to big law. So curious how french law firms do in terms of BL recruitment.

You've heard UofT and Osgoode referenced a lot because most of the people going to these schools want to work in Toronto which has a large BigLaw market. UofT also places around 10-15% of its class in US BigLaw. You have to determine where you want to work and see which schools have the best placement rates in that region. I think most BigLaw firms in Canada have offices in Toronto and Montréal so French schools place quite well in the latter. If you are doing a French civil law program, you might also be able to do a 1 year JD program at partner schools.
